There are two antennas on the ground station, one is a skew planar and the other is a bow-tie. It's our general purpose ground station.

Ever since I found this channel a week ago I watch around 3 hours of it a day

That is the best scratch quad I have ever seen--great design! Keep the vids coming all.

If you're asking what I think you're asking, then yes, the quad, with a KK board will continue to fly in that direction. If you're wanting the quad to level out on it's own after returning the stick to center, you'll need a board that has an auto-level feature. The newer KK 2.0 w/ LCD board HK now sells has this feature. I've heard the 2.1 boards can be hacked to include an accelerometer though. . .

Static gets you most of the way there. Multicopters are more sensitive to vibration than planes.

Be great if you guys could do an episode on flying 'nose in'. I'm doing pretty well after one hour or so hovering, swaying side to side, forward and aft, but yikes, when I spin it round, the bottom falls out and I lose control. Nice episode - definitely going to build one, cheers!

One way to eliminated the jello effect is to putting a SORBOTHANE pad underneath the GOPRO , also set the video quality from 1080 30fps to 720 60fps , you can check on my channel some of my FPV videos of my HT-FPV and 450 FLAME WHEEL CLONE quads where i fly them with the mods that i just mention above , the video quality is virtually perfect . you can get a 4" inch square SORBOTHANE pad from EBAY for less than 10 bucks .

Great video, but.... You guys make it seem so easy. I made the xcopter version like you guys did on the earlier episode and the first thing it did was flip ovr. And the throttle is extremly sensitive. I use the same motors and props and i find them way to powerfull.

Josh and Josh. A good idea to keep the ESC's cool in that body, Is to cut a squar at one end on the bottom and another at the opposite end on top. Install a CPU fan at the top hole, so as to suck air thru the boddy. The fan could be connected to 1 of the 3cell's for constant power, The ma draw is not much for a CPU fan.... Just a thought....

Hey guys love your channel, you and your team are wizards, question for you, your H-Copter, have you guys thought about turning it into a Hex with a middle spar for heavy lift operations such as a SLR platform, I would love to hear your thoughts. How about an episode on quad upgrades and how to - such as bluetooth GPS etc. Remember there are loads of noobs out there looking to spend their money but are really unsure. Take care, a fan.....

Did you read my comment, i know there is tutorials in other places, but one they dont cover everything and two it would be better if it was on this channel as it could be simplified or at least better explained

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a video about the Antennas you use and how to make them, i understand you may have these somewhere else but it would be nice to have specific instructions on this channel , coupled with link to the Cheapest equipment you can find to make the fpv

you dont need to flash the board to make it fly in X mode, all you need is an elevon mix on the radio and orient the control board 45 deg so it still points to motor 1. that's how i fly mine, and it works great.

FT, would this be considered a good beginner quad? I've perfected scratchbuilding planes and flying them, and I have also mastered a basic coaxial helicopter.

Are you using the GoPro for FPV ? If so is there a way to shoot 1080 but not get any black bars on the fatsharks ??

Thanks for the "H" idea. I ruined my "Hobbyking Fiberglass Micro Quadcopter Frame 245mm" and swapped the components to a cheap DIY "H" wooden frame. It's only slightly heavier, more crash resistant and only cost me 3€ :D

Was just wondering if you guys might be looking into variable pitch muti copters. That way you can use just one motor or engine (nitro) for extended flight time. Im working on a project that incorporates a small nitro and electric motors. Something like a hybrid

I have a few questions. Can controllers be set to multiple planes or multirotors? Also how well balanced does this have to be? Can it pick things up that aren't evenly balanced? If you used the largest props you guys have on all 4 sides how much lifting force would this have? And finally could you put links to the videos in the description?

I've got a question for the KK Board 2.1. If you move the stick in direction and then back into the middle, does the quad then still fly in the direction, or does it go back to normal position when the stick is in normal position?

I have the knuckle H quad.. but you guys don't have this one for sale? what is the difference between knuckle h quad and this one? Do you sell the parts to upgrade to this?

the vibrations in video can be fixed by silicon gel anti-vibration blocks/bars.

You should have called it an iQuad , although you might have had a copyright issue.

Does the KK Board need special set-up for H Copter frame. I have mine set-up for H Quad but can't get it set-up, it's not stable. Thanks Grandad Mick

Hi Josh, I have built the Quad, but have a problem, I have it fitted with APM 2.5, 4 Hextronic 750 motors and 4 Afro 30 Amp esc's, my problem is that when I arm the APM and start the motors they start to spin when I go to increase the speed one will stop then shortly after the remaining motors stop as if someone has put the breaks on,put the throttle to zero and they do the same thing again if I increase the throttle,I am using power lead, clip removed and esc's all actives conected Geoff

I found the dynamic prop balancing very hard, so i ordered a prop balancer, and its not only the blades that are unbalanced, its also the hubs, ever single one of those gem fan 11x4.7 props i order are horribly out of balance!

Don't use cheap props, I agree with Noctaro Quad here! The cheap modelling RC sites are offering maybe cheap products, but consider the quality please! Specially when you make or fly helicopters and quads, it can go wrong or the prop will burst because of the tention... Please buy quality products, wanna know where? Give me a message!

Orrr . you could produce a small tube system from each of the motors to act as ducts which then tunnel into the body. Or water cooling within the body. or heat-sinks that have slots to expose them to air. or cut bigger air holes. or have a compressed air system the squirts cold air on them when it detects a temperature increase above a set threshold......... Just a thought... :P
