I have one with a black float needle, when i use the choke the motor either doesn't start, unless i keep 100% throttle and then it's barely alive. Or if i have just started it without a choke, and use the choke, my engine dies immediately. Is this because of the black needle valve? I can't think of anything else. My float works, and needle moves up and down smoothly, it still has the black tip but i was wondering if I'd have to upgrade?
If the tip of the needle wears out it will start to leak, which will flood the carb. Changing the needle is cheap and simple. I would change it and if that doesn't help then investigation continues. Good luck and cheers for commenting!
Hej.
