The first step in mooring your floating dock is configuring each section and using the coupler set to attach each piece. Once the dock’s pieces are secured together in the configuration you want, it is time to install the corner gusset kit to reinforce the framework.
When your floating dock is in the desired shape, you can start the mooring installation. You will need help holding the dock in place as you install the deadweight bracket kit onto the dock’s side. Then, you’ll pull the 3/8th-inch chain through the deadweight bracket until the chain is locked into the bottom slot.
The moorings must be lowered into the water in opposing pairs to ensure the dock remains in position. Lower them into the water at a 30-degree angle from the dock. You’ll want the chain’s length to be three to four times as long as the water’s depth to work with rising and lowering tides.
