I have just come across your site and like it so much that I will watch all your videos. I have been having some memory loss of late and have been advised by the Doctors to try photography as a means of helping with this problem. Thank you so much from KANGAROO FLAT, Victoria, Australia.

Great video. I never light a translucent backdrop from the back. I'll have to try it. Thank you !

Hi, I always follow your videos with great interest, full of information that I try to use at home for my little still lives. I don't use professional flashes (my "photo studio" is just my desk), but simple speedlights and thanks to you I have learned many things about lighting, diffusion and reflective panels, the use of the computer for shooting (Nx Tether) and postproduction with photoshop. Thank you so much

Thank you for another video lesson. What metering mode are you using?
@CameraClubLive
@CameraClubLive 6 месяцев назад
The camera is set in manual. I don’t use a metering mode. I evaluate the exposure from the result on the calibrated monitor via the tether. This is much more accurate than using a meter. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

Would there be any difference if you pointed the gel head away from the subject onto mount board like some of your other videos? Why did you choose this way over that?
@CameraClubLive
@CameraClubLive 6 месяцев назад
When using mount board you need more space this way is more compact. There is very little difference to the final outcome. Thanks for watching.
