I have an OM-1 which if a M4/3 camera. I use the 90mm macro lens which is equivalent to 180 full frame. That gives me a longer working distance and I can actually focus on only the colored part of the bubble. It is a matter of personal choice but I have gotten some very interesting patterns just capturing a rectangular section. You do, of course, lose the "bubble" context. It does, however, allow you to use a somewhat smaller softbox.

I am always impressed by your lessons. Every video is Oscar worthy. A true master, in every sense 🤓. Many creative ideas explained in a perfect, I would even say academic, way. Unfortunately I have no photography equipment to replicate your teachings.

In the absence of a large soft box, could you use a smaller bubble cup to achieve a similar result ? Great tutorial as usual.

Yes you could however, there is diminishing returns to this you would have to make the bubble very small. A better way maybe not to inflate the bubble so much that way the shape will be different and so the reflection will be different. thanks for watching.
