Slept on Floetry, inexplicably, for years despite being a huge E.Badu and Jill Scott fan. Well, NO LONGER! I am basking in the beautiful light of their live performances via youtube.
Did not know what I was gonna hear that tuesday night but I knew the Black Lily was the place to be. Turns out Floetry was there as usual but that night.... they performed this live for the 1st time. Priceless!
I've seen them several times live back in the day. I remember meeting them in DC after a performance at L.O.V.E the club. I still have their albums in rotation 🤟🏽

the chemistry between these 2 women in this performance (and all of their music) is just incredibly insane. the way they connect is beautiful, and i can't believe Floetry is broken up (still).
