No we didn’t but I’m pretty sure it’s something like wool fibers and the fibers are most likely fairly damaged so they’re just fairly absorbent 😂

I love your videos! As someone who loves to see things last forever, I also enjoy seeing how even the worst-looking rugs are salvageable. Still, whenever I see how much work you put in, I wonder how much water and detergent one can use before restoring a rug becomes less eco-friendly than just making a new one - although that's probably still a lot more than you do.
