The majestic choirs paired with Arbiter driving the forklift is the most beautiful combo in history. Also, just as a side note, I greatly appreciate you using the Gravemind drums for the action scene. It's such a tiny little piece of music that seems to largely go unremembered, but it's always been one of my favorites. Also, two and a half minute forklift section? YES PLEASE.

Thanks for featuring my feedback! I hope it helped people on saving money in flood! Also thanks for the animating tips! These will def come in handy! I don’t rush animation on new sets because at first MEGA joints are stiff, so I “play” with them until they are loose enough to animate easily. Also great MC impression!

I love all your work. This stop motion must of taken ages to make. You should try and do an animated review about the banshee breakout of the Mercenary Combat Unit. There small sets but I don't know what one to get. Anyway I love all your animation and keep up the good work.

Thanks Dave!! 😊 yeah the set looked quite spindly and thin after I took all the background stuff away haha. I only had enough grey bricks etc to fill the frame, so whenever I reframed a shot I had to rebuild the set lol

Great work man. The opening animation was nicely done but in my opinion small details like having darker lighting, adjusting the elites foot on the ground, making the fusion coil explosion bigger etc.. would have made it better however that’s just my opinion. The flamethrower practical effects were what really stood out to me as I never considered using cotton. When making my the thing film I tried paper and other materials but settled with vfx. Keep up the great work man I love these reviews!

Cheers Rapid! Yeah the animation definitely got brighter as it went along (perhaps a bit too bright in some shots), but it was because I wanted to show off the set rather than have it all be so dark and just lit with a torch. In a more cinematic animation where the background wasn't as important I probably would have made it really dark and spooky. I'm glad you liked the flamethrower! It was my first time doing anything like that and I learnt a lot.

First off, what an amazing video on an amazing set. Secondly, I've been wanting to start stop motion or maybe just photographs and I was wondering what camera and stop motion program do you use/recommend?

Thank you! So I started out on a low end DSLR camera, and now I use a Lumix GH5 camera. But nowadays phone cameras are actually really good and there's lots of stop motion apps you could try out to get started. If you went a bit more advanced to edit an animation, I recommend using Hitfilm Express which is free (and what I use) because it's a video editor where you can import 'image sequences' and basically it just plays images as a stop motion for you without having to do much extra to them. And it's a proper video editor which has so many more options than a stop motion app on a phone.

Great review. I managed to get this set and I love the Flood figures. Hey by the way I’ve been wondering, where do you get you Halo sound effects? I want to improve my videos and me using my phone to record sound effects off of RU-vid isn’t that great.

That's great to hear! The flood figures are awesome. And as for the sound effects, I downloaded a few sound packs which literally have all the raw sounds from the various games. You can search for "VG Resource Halo sounds" online and download their packs, or check out Aegis Mind's RU-vid channel as he uploads lots of game sounds from a bunch of games including Halo. Hope that helps!

If they would redo the head on the elite to be more flood like and paint the feelers on the combat and infection forms it would make the new flood amazing but the original combat form head and infection forms look better and more detailed in my opinion

I love everything about this set, it was smaller then I expected but if I wanted too I have the right parts too make it bigger, or I could get another one. I’ll probably get another one tbh. Forklift is very fragile tho, but I’m not a person that slams shit into other toys or whatever, when i actually play with my stuff I don’t really slam stuff into other stuff so idc bout that, the forks aren’t a problem with me, but it tips over when I lift the fork part, and the part that connects the forks and outer canopy is very very very weak. But again, idc that much. Chief gud, flood gud gud, barricade gud gud, sand bags gud gud, everything gud. Forklift best cus gud more then all cus it gud.

I tried to do stopmotion, i made some notes. The little walkways dont work all to well for animating, the crate is in the way, doesnt stay still, doesnt raise or lower properly, and is just annoying, so i removed it. Having a second one of these would be awesome, so there is more room for an actual building (though i love this as a background/stage). Overall its pretty cool and the stuff has high value, but its mostly good for shelf display.

But oh MY GOD this set is impossible to find for a good price- it’s a shame, because when I see a cool new mega set, I think “man I wonder if this set will need to be rereleased as well,” I hate it, because I used to think “wow that’s awesome! I can’t wait to get that” and it was always a fun feeling. But now… it’s just, miserable

I got the mega set and it did not have 1 Pease and I couldn't make the forklift and I did not lose the pease probably because they were lazy or new or they fought
