Binging rn all "Answer your Ruling" vids to refresh my knowledge on cards and wordings, and noticed an interesting trend xD Ep 1 started prim and propper (only 3 yo atm) and in Ep 8 (about a year ago atm) Coder became the goofball we all know and love #nohomo xD
Pankratops is summoned and used by player A . Player B summons the pankratops later that turn to their side of the field . Can player B use pankratops eff? Is this different than mind controlling a drident who already used its effect previously that turn?
Interesting ruling Question (will never occur in competitive matches tho): So, Five-headed dragon states that it Cannot be destroyed by battle with a DARK, EARTH, WATER, FIRE, or WIND monster. and Elemental Hero Electrum (a LIGHT attribute monster) states that while it is face-up on the field, it is also WIND, WATER, FIRE, and EARTH-Attribute. So assuming I get my Electrum to higher ATK than Five-headed dragon, would Electrum be able to destroy it as LIGHT attribute, or would its effect as being other attributes that Five-headed dragon cannot be destroyed with not allow Electrum to destroy it. Hope you answer this one!
Cards will multiple atributes act at the same time with regards to effects for example if you summon dark simorgh and flip gozen match the dark simorgh goes to the gy because while it is a monster with one attribute on the field it is also a monster with another attribute on the field so gozen match kills the dark simorgh that is wind while not caring about the dark simorgh that is dark and because they are both the one and the same card then like a rule of thumb does care + kill = death like multiplying a negative with a positive gives you a negative also being dark does not protect you from gozen match because there is not text that says so even if there was gozen match affects the player and not the monster. So regarding five headed dragon it is protected by battle against earth and electrum is earth so it doesn't die because that's the only effect happening. Even though five headed dragon can be killed by divine, dark and light monsters or any new attribute added into the game the reason it can't be killed is a conditional effect and as long as you meet the right conditions you will receive the effect.
Hi Coder, I have a ruling question: I was having a live duel today at locals, and when I tried to use the heart of the cards to pull at pieces of exodia from my side deck to my hand my opponent said I was cheating? Can you explain to them the rulings around using the heart of the card during duels
Sidoremichord Beautea has the following effect: (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls, or, if you have an even Pendulum Scale in your Pendulum Zone, you can target 1 face-up Spell/Trap they control instead; this turn, if that card would leave the field, banish it instead. I activate the effect of my Mekk-Knight Purple Nightfall, targeting a Mekk-Knight Blue Sky I control. If my opponent activates Sidoremichord Beautia, targeting that Blue Sky, what happens? Also My opponent controls [S-Force Edge Laser]. If I activate Tri-Brigade Revolt to summon 3 monsters, would I be allowed to summon one of the monsters in the same column as Edge Laser and then not perform the link summon?
There is like a hidden text with card effects when you move a card off of the field it is always considered under leaving the field so regardless of what purple was going to do with the card after removing off of the field it is now forcibly banished by beautea effect at the targetting process and not by purple's effect so you don't get to resolve purple's effects so you don't get to search or return the card in the next standby.
Hi DistantCoder, I got a ruling question that I tried to ask around but could not get a concrete answer, I am really looking to hear your opinion. My friend had a Archlord Kristya face-up on the field, I used VW Gate Qinglong to negate its effect, then I later proceed to summon Shenshen and used Chuche's effect to successfully destroy Kristya. Kristya has an Unclassified Effect that reads: "If this face-up card would be sent from the field to the GY, place it on top of the Deck, instead.", and Shenshen has a Continuous Effect that reads: "Any card sent from the field to the GY is banished instead.". Just where should Kristya go? Top of the deck or banished? Someone on yugioh101 had pointed out Kristya had two conflicting ruling: one where against Macro Cosmos Kristya would return to top of the deck, and another one against Mystical Beast of Serket Kristya would be banished... I am so very very confused. Not only do I wish to know the correct answer, if the reasoning behind it can be provided as well that would be great!
The Macro Cosmos ruling and Mystical Beast of Serket rulings aren't really conflicting; the effects read differently. Shenshen reads like Macro Cosmos, and according to the Cosmos ruling, Kristya will return to the top of the deck.
Hello Mr. Coder, I have a Token question and sorry if it’s dumb: Once a card like, say, Nibiru, summons a token and defines its stats, what is considered to be the card giving those stats: the Nibiru or the token itself? And if you were, for example, to mass-negate the board (with a card like Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake or Skill Drain), would the token lose its stats? I guess the root question is, are a token’s stats under any circumstances treated as a part of its own effect? Thanks :)
I think nibiru actual states on the item card that it gives the token it's atk/def x of the monsters tributed with a mass negation I keeps the atk/def only thing that lower it's atk/def is like droplits etc I believe I may be wrong
Since the nibiru eff has resolved then even if you negate the nibiru on field with like skill drain or kitedrake the token still has its atk and def because it is an effect that already has resolved so it stays like this
Nibiru summons the token while it's still in the hand then summons itself the only way to stop it is with a monster negate that affects the hand like mind drain or a negating an activated effect like how crystal wing does. In which case no monsters are tributed, no tokens are summoned and nibiru doesn't hit the field. Since they are all part of the same effect if one cannot be done the rest can't be done so if a floodgate is on the field nibiru because a brick in the hand even though it tributes everything you can't activate it because you can't summon a rock so you don't get to resolve any effects because a singular one is being stopped and they all have to resolve together.
My opponent controls Number 3: Cicada King and Metalfoes Orichalc. I control Samurai Destroyer and have a set copy of Crystron Entry. My opponent attacks SD with Orichalc. Before the damage step, I activate Entry, summoning Citree and Rion. Citree's effect targets a level 2 in my GY and summons Crystron Quandax. Rion's effect targets that now banished level 2 and summons Crystron Ametrix. In response to the Ametrix on summon effect, I activate Quandax's effect and summon Crystron Phoenix. Ametrix's effect resolves and switches Orichalc to defense position. In the next chain, I activate Phoenix's on summon effect. Is the Orichalc still considered to be attacking at this point? This affects whether or not Cicada King's effect can be used to negate Phoenix's banish. I ask because the game doesn't check for a replay until triggers are finished resolving.
soo I have a very relevant question: If I control an Abyss Dweller face-up on my field as well as a DNA transplant, with which I called DIVINE on activation and a Gozen Match on. In my Graveyard I have an Elementsaber Lapauila and activate its effect to change its attribute to DIVINE. I then proceed to Special Summon it from the Graveyard using a card like Monster Reborne. Which card will apply first on the reborned monster? Gozen Match or DNA Transplant? In other words, will the Elementsaber monster be sent to the Graveyard, as the Attribute change stopps applying outside the Graveyard?
I feel like you should still be allowed to strike the pendulum summon of just Solfachord monsters and their summons would just not be negated in the same way that you can still legally attempt to negate a fusion spell under meltdown or attempt to destroy a dragoon via card effect. Not arguing, but it would make sense if the rulings worked the same, unless there's something I'm missing
For the Xyz and D Fissure, how would it work with Redoer? As you beed to specifically detach a monster for one of his effects. Does he check after the cards are in the grave?
Notice in the text it says depending on detach once the card is no longer attached it regains it's previous status you can detach the card while macro cosmos is on the field and the card gets banished and redoer still retains his effects the only difference between macro cosmos and dimensional fissure is the dimensional fissure needs specifically a monster card as in if you destroy a monster that is face up as an equipped spell card or the card is a monster on the field but is considered to still be a trap those don't get banished.
if something like redoer or omega are summoned from the extra deck, and then use their effects to banish themselves and return later, would they still be considered special summoned when cards like shaddoll fusion check? I know their return isn't a summon but I guess what I'm asking is if the game still recognizes the original way they hit field
I'm pretty sure that a card clears itself of markers such as "special summoned" when it stops being face up on the field, similar to how flipping a Call of the Haunted summon face down "detaches" it. I could be wrong, but I think an Omega that re-enters the field by its own effect is no longer technically considered special summoned.
Fire King High Avatar Garunix and Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys, their revival effects and how if you have multiples of them in the graveyard you do not have to chain them and how you get to activate them at any point during the standby as long as it is its own chain. Also how do they resolve in regards to priority if both players have them going off on the same standby phase.
You do not have to chain them together because phase-specific trigger effects function differently from normal trigger effects. They're similar to ignition effects in that regard.
If i activate a trap during my opponent’s turn, I have multi and my opponent has amazement admin. Admin is cl-1 and Multi is cl-2 in response to the resolution of my trap. Can my opponents admin equip a trap onto multi?
2 part question. If Tri-brgate Omen tries to banish Spirt Dragon. But Spirt Dragon tags out for Moonlight Dragon. Does moonlight Dragon still get to bounce back Omen off its effect in the same chain or can omen just choose to banish moonlight since it wasn't able to banish Spirt? Thank you.
Hey Coder, I was wondering what would happen if my opponent were to negate the fusion or link summon of a Prank kids monster, would the monsters used for the summon of the fusion or link be able to activate their effects, or are they considered to only be sent to the GY
As far as i know, prank-kids need to use a spell effect to fusion summon. So the fusion summoned would be external special summon and so only the card/effect could be negated but not the fusion summon itself.
It seems that Naturia Rosewhip isn't like El Shaddol Winda, in that if an opponent has previously activated Spells/Traps; they can still activate 1 more. Is this right? If so, why is this? The only difference seems to be that Winda must be face-up first.
Hi coder, ruling question: My opponent controls a linkuriboh and a altergeist kunquery and has a face up personal spoofing and a face up protocol. I Attack with a Monster, my opponent in chain of the Attack declaration activate spoofing shuffling into the deck the face up kunquery; then he adds a kunquery. I proceede to perform a replay. Is my opponent allowed to activate the kunquery in hand to negate the attack?
If you activate the effect of Serpentine Princess on deck and your opponent chains the effect of Herald Ultimateness to negate could you chain Ash to Herald, since it would destroy a card in deck and send it to the GY?
Why does imperial order send equipped plunder monsters to the graveyard? Trying to wrap my head around this one. Does it work similarly for monsters like dragunity?
Only plunder's that equip themselves will be send to GY. For example if you use Blackbeard on bluebeard and imperial order is flipped up, the bluebeard stays equipped because the effect that keeps it equipped is the monster effect of Blackbeard. But if the Blackbeard targeted itself it will be sent to GY, as the effect that keeps it equipped is now negated (as Blackbeard is now treated as a spell).
i have a question: Revived King Ha Des VS Madolche Puddingcess. When Ha Des attacks Puggingcess will Puddingcess be able to destroy a card on the field??
Ruling Question: If i have Gozen Match and Whitebeard, the Plunder Patroll Helm equipped with Emblem of the Plunder Patroll, while i have a Dark and a Water monster in my grave. Can i activate Emplem effect to SS Moerk from the extra? Im asking cause Emblem can be legally activated here cause I could summon Black Beard with it, but then the Whitebeard is equiped to the monster I summon from the extra, so i dont control a Water monster anymore.
you can summon any attribute that is in the grave or on the opponent's field, even if that isn't water, you do need to have Blackbeard in the Extra deck
It's a "soft" once per turn effect if the card doesn't have the phrase "You can only use this card's effect once per turn". Thus if you can summon another copy of it or reborn your monster (with a soft once per turn clause) then you can use it's effect again.
Question about the amazement traps. If I choose to activate the effect of 1 of my attraction traps while it is equipped to my amazement monster and I chain the effect of amazement Comica to equip the trap to a monster my opponent controls, which effect of the attraction trap happens? Also if I have an attraction trap equipped to my amazement Comica, can I use the effect of Comica to equip the trap to my opponents monster if that monster cannot be targeted?
Hi coder ruling question If i have a apollousa with 2400 atk and i activate orcust knightmare, target the apollousa and send gizmek orochi giving apollousa a 800atk boost then negate a monster effect will apollousa still lose the 800atk boost in the end phase?
Hey man hope ur good. Quick question regarding tri-brigade shuraig. If my opponent activates revolt summoning four monsters (4 tri-brigade) linking into shuraig. Opponent activates shuraig (trigger effect) and starts chains, shuraig cl1, and I end the chain with super poly using shuraig and another monster I control. Does shuraig still have the ability to banish one card since it left the “trigger zone” that u mentioned in another video?
This isn't a scenario with Shuraig being removed from the location where its trigger effect must activate before it can activate. Here, the effect has already activated, so there's no reason it won't resolve, even if Shuraig has left the field by that time. Granted, there are monsters like Zombie Master that have the clause , in which case yeah, the effect wouldn't resolve.
If you kaiju a link summon Mekk night aviermax do you still get it’s a effect to shuffle a card on the field. Also we have the same tattoo of lucario and that’s freaking awesome!!
Hi Coder, ruling about De-Fusion: I fusion summon using Trick Clow wich then SS itself from grave, if I lik it away could I use De-Fusion to SS that trick clown and the other monster from grave?
If my opponent has zombie world up, and I have mu beta fafnir with some drytrons as material, am I allowed to use the attached drytrons as ritual material for meteonis drytron or are they not considered machines?
Hey Coder, Lets say i summoned my opponents Topologic Zeroboros with Monster Reborn and Zeroboros effect triggers- will he summon himself to the fiel with his effect again? What side of the field will he summon himself to? Or will he just stay banished?
If I special summon a Madolche Pettingcesseour and it's effect to special summon a Madolche from the deck gets Ashed, would I then be able to summon non-Madolches or am I still locked due to Pettingcesseour's effect?
If I use the effect of Myutant ST-46 to banish a trap monster, such as Shapesister, would I be able to summon Myutant Beast, Myutant Arsenal, or would I be able to choose between the two?
Ruling question : if my opponent has a zombie world up, can I activate tribrigade revolt when I have 4 banished tribrigade monsters to try to summon shuraig the ominous omen? I'm confused because they aren't zombies when they are banished but they'll be zombies when they hit the field
The monsters will be summoned, and will become Zombie immediately after. Since Zombie monsters don't qualify to be Shuraig materials, the summon will not be performed.
you cannot activate tribrigade revolt, because the monsters in the graveyard are zombies, and revolt only allows you to summon Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monsters, in addition you also have to be able to perform the link summon, if you cannot link summon using only those monsters, you cannot activate revolt, and if a card that prevents summoning from the extra deck is applied mid chain, you don't apply the effect of revolt and you don't summon a monster at all.
@@ScorpioneOrzion If you read his question more carefully, you'd know he's referring to banished monsters, upon which Zombie World doesn't apply. Also, I don't see how the latter part of your comment is relevant to his question.
@@corebren2510 you need to link summon to be able to activate revolt, so in cause of zombie world you cannot activate it, because there is no tribrigate monster that uses only zombies
@@ScorpioneOrzion Actually you can link summon bearbrumm under zombie world, but my question is can I attempt to summon shuraig under zombie world when I have 4 banished tribrigade
Okay so let's say I have there can be only one face up on the board, and I activate a rivalry of the warlords, do both effects restrict the field simultaneously, or does one effect over take the other based on activation order?
Hi coder. if i have Nekroz of unicore/skill drain on board and my oppenent activated prank-kids doodle-doo to tribute for cost and then get 2 prank-kids card to hand do they still get the effect? I have heard that it does but if i use veiler/imperm on it it does not resolve its tribute eff please explain why
If my opponent activates the effect of Nibiru, the Primal Being in hand and I chain the field effect of Trickstar Reincarnation to it, does Nibiru tribute everything and then fail to summon itself or does it not resolve any part of its effect?
Yo! Ruling question! My opponent activates Super Poly, using my two Dark monsters to fusion summon for a Starving Venom. After the summon, I activate De-Fusion, targeting the Starving Venom on my opponent's side of the field. When it resolves, do I get to summon back my monsters that have been used as fusion material?
@@VyaxUltima doesn't matter they were still fusion materials, so you do get to summon them, nevermind starving venom does get returned but no other monsters get summoned
What happens when I normal summon blackwing harmattan and have black whirlwind on the field with no targets in my deck? And additionally what would happen if I realise it after looking into my deck and have no blackwing with less atk?
Well, with no targets in deck Black Whirlwind cannot be activated. And if you did not have a legal card to add when you activated it, the activation of Whirlwind's effect was illegal and a judge should be called.
If I have Lair of Darkness and Lilith on the field, can I tribute an opponent’s monster for cost who is unaffected by monster effects (such as Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops)? Thank you
Yes, since Megaclops isn't being affected by any monster's effect, it's being Tributed for a cost. Bear in mind if the monster is unaffected by _Spell_ effects, Lair cannot apply the effect to Tribute the opposing monster.
Hello Mr coder i have a rulinv question so i have a necrovalley activated and on the next turn my opponent activate magical meltdown and he try to fusion summon how it will resolves because necrovalley prevent player from banishing but magical meltdown fusion summon cannot be negated
you fusion summon as normal, this same interaction is with subterror fiendess + subterror final battle 4th effect, even while skill drain or necrovalley is in effect, you can still summon a subterror monster from your graveyard
ok so if I have lair of darkness up on the field, and my opponent has barrier statue of the stormwinds up on the field, am i legally allowed to activate monster gate, tributing stormwinds for cost with 0 wind monsters in my deck?
You can only resolve monster gate in this scenario if you did have a wind monster in deck if not it is considered an illegal move. The activation of the card cannot be considered legally to be used because it is stopped by the wind barrier statue since you do not meet it's activation requirements activation effects require you to meet the state of the game + the card activation to be allowed to activate. Also even if lair of darkness is on the field lair of darkness does not affect monsters in the deck.
So long as you have monsters that can be Normal Summoned, you can activate Monster Gate. There's a ruling with Evilswarm Ophion - in this case, if Stormwinds is still faceup when you resolve Monster Gate and you hit a non-WIND it goes to GY. Here, if you tribute the Stormwinds, then it resolves as normal.
So question, say you have an effect monster or continuous spell card with the effect that states "all monsters you control must attack on your turn." and you have an Obelisk the Tormentor on the field and use his effect to purge your opponent's monsters from their side of the field at the cost of him being able to attack that turn. Would the other card's effect make him able to attack regardless because the effect does not target him specifically but all monsters I control? I've been wondering that.
most effects, that force you to attack, say explicitly 'must attack, if able'. In other words a monster, that is prevented from attacking by a card effect (being its own or the effect of a seperate card) it cannot attack due to such an effect (for example "Battle Mania" or "All-Out Attacks")
If I activate Polymerization with only 2 monsters on my field and non in my hand and my opponent chains a card to destroy one of my monsters what would happen? Thanks
Hi i have a ruling question. Divine Evolution vs. Uneffected Monster (like Ultimate Falcon) Can i out a Uneffected Monster like Raidraptor Ultimate Falcon wuth Divine Evolution‘s send Effect?

My opponent has successfully resolve misc, are their dinos effected by my face up lair of darkness since it’s a continuous effect applying the dark attribute? If so, can I them tribute a dino for cost for Lilith effect?
It is depending on timing. If you used for example during your opponent's main phase you activated demise of the land to activate lair of darkness after misc has been already resolved then no they are not dark until it's the battlephase in which case they turn dark because the protection is removed. Misc does not cleanse pre-existing effects and only stops new ones from occuring as in it stops the resolution of an activated effect during the main phase however field spells have re-applying effects always will try to re-apply themselves so you can tribute them during the battlephase as a cost for lilith.
If I control a cockadoodledoo and I summon breaksword to a zone points to and destroy my cockadoodledoo can I activate thunder hand's effect in my hand to summon itself or does my opponent have to have a card on their field
What makes the ruling for attempting to negate on Solfachord (5:33), different from the rulling for Meltdown (attempting to negate a card that would fusion summon)?
Basically how summoning works is like this if it is not an inherent summon like pankatrops you have to 1. Attempt to summon -> 2. response -> 3. successfully summon -> 4. response So basically meltdown protects your from the first and second responses of your opponent if you fusion summon while the high scale solfachord only protects solfachord monsters from not being successfully summoned. If it's an inherent summon you skip to successfully summon -> response
If I control FA Whip Crosser at level 7 so it has its floodgate effect. Can my opponent activate lithosagym in hand to destroy a baby and misc in hand to get a misc in grave or could they not do that because whip crosser effect?
Since it makes the opponent shuffle so it is not a card effect it is an action that your opponent must do then yes you can shuffle an unaffected by card effects monster
the tribute is a cost you will successfully be able to tribute the lone fire in which case it is no longer affected by face up cards on the field so it resolves the effect you can also use lonefire under the effects of skill drain.
Opponent has fansies on board. He proceeds to go cl1 TCBOO cl2 pandemonium. Makes butler with another copy of fansies from hand. At res he sends the fansies from board to GY. I was told the butler has to go to GY. Whats the ruling on this?
If both monsters were there when TCBOO resolved, they can choose. If TCBOO is *already applying* and a new monster of the wrong type is now on the field (let's say, for example, it was banished for World Legacy Clash), then the newest monster is sent to the GY.
The ruling for gozen is the same than the one for tcboo and rivalry You cannot attempt to summon a monster of an other attribute if gozen is on the field
Firewall targets the monsters in field and gy for each monster co-linked to this card for cost and then if it resolves the monsters targeted go to the owners hand.
Say i gamma a monster effekt. Can my opponent respond with bell and negate my gamma even though I dont special from grave, since gamma can summon from hand, deck or grave?
Yes, because ghost belle specifically states it negates an effect that includes the ability to special from grave, which gammas effect does. Kinda similar to how ash can stop shaddoll fusion even if they wanna fuse from hand
The game has 7 kinds of cards which are xyz material, extra deck cards, deck cards, gy, banished, spell, trap and monsters. Macro cosmos, dark law and D shifter say "cards" which means all 7 different kinds while D fissure only works on "monsters". If you read the card effect of extra foolish burial goods for example it says "send a monster" which means you treat an extra deck card as a monster when you send it to the gy so d fissure would banish it. However say you destroyed a monster while d.fissure is on the field, that is now a continous spell like one of the abc pieces since it is a spell it goes to the gy.
Wait I have a question it's about the MISC thing so let's say I go first then 1 set DNA surgery and then on their turn they use MISC will DNA surgery make the monsters a different type or will they be unaffected by MISC? (Apologize that Is confusing)
The monsters will still be affected by dna surgery, because misc make dinos unaffected by "activated" effects only, while dna surgery is a continuous effect.
I can usa an opponent moster that is immune to the other cards effect for summoning goddess of underworld or another chase tributing the same monster using something that tribute monster for cost?
What happens if I activate a pend scale/ say Qliphort scout and my opponent uses time thief retrograde in response to attach that material to time thief redoer, is the qliphort scout under redoer considered a spell or a monster? Since retrograde specifically negates a spell.
No. Cyclo-Coaster adding an Amazement is not activating a Trap, it's activating the effect of a Trap. Arlekino would not trigger. Spoofing + Multifaker only works if you activate the effect of Spoofing alongside the initial activation of the card itself.
@@VyaxUltima yeah, and coaster isn't like spoofing. With spoofing you can use the effect when you activate it. But you can't do that with the coaster (which is why amazement cards all suck).
I control a Serziel, Watcher of the Evil Eye equiped with Evil Eye of Selene. The Serziel has (for argument's sake) gained 1000 ATK from the equip spell. My opponent activates the effect of Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss to target and negate my Evil Eye of Selene. What happens to the ATK points that Serziel gained? I'm unsure because of the wording on Evil Eye of Selene that says that the ATK gain remains even if Evil Eye of Selene leaves the field
The effect of Evil Eye of Selene that increases Serziel's ATK is a lingering effect that applies on another card by activating and resolving each time, not a continuous effect. Even if Selene's effects are negated, Serziel's ATK will stay the same.
If I control meltdown (activation of cards/effects that fusion summon cannot be negated) and I use invocation, is my opponent legally allowed to try to negate the activation of invocation, even if it does nothing? If yes, why is meltdown's effect different from the solfacord effect?
No he cant chain i think since it is the same as the solfachord thingy. You cannot activate a card that negates something that cannot be negated. The difference with the solfachord is that the summon of SOLFACHORD ONLY monsters cannot be negated. So as coder said you can negate the pend summon of a non solfachord monster
Why tf we have to specifically use vanilla Red-Eyes when activating Red-Eyes Fusion and sending from deck, instead of any other dragon? (Since the materials for Dragoon are Dark Magician+Red-Eyes *OR* any dragon monster)
Rulings, essentially. You must use the Red-Eyes monster that the fusion lists. This also applies to Destruction Swordsman Fusion and I believe Miracle Synchro Fusion.
@@Vinicius-Bigode it doesn't. If you are using Red-Eyes Fusion, you must use a Red-Eyes monster. It doesn't matter where the materials are, it matters what one of them is.
Hey coder! Ruling question here: if i have a Number 23: Lancelot, Dark Knight of the Underworld on my side of the field with materials, would Lancelot's mandatory negate effect apply to my opponent sending Miscellaneousaurus to the graveyard? Thanks and i appreciate this type of content a ton!!
Hi coder, I have a ruling question for you. Can I tribute a set earth-machine monster to activate the effect of infinitrack brutal dozer? Love your content, keep up the work🙌🏻🙌🏻
If Winda was already on field, Nibiru cannot activate its effect. If you activate Nibiru and they opponent chains El Shaddoll/Schism, Winda gets summoned and then Nibiru tributes it while its effect is resolving (and thus can summon itself and the token, as Winda is off the field).
El Shaddoll Winda: If Winda was already on the field, you can not activate Revolt. If Winda hits the field after revolt was already activate, it will resolve as much as possible, so it will summon your monster back, but then you make no link-summon.
Summon Limit: When Summon Limit was already activate and you had not make any summon this turn, revolt will fully resolve without problem. When you already had summoned a monster under summon limit, revolt can not be activated.
What happens if you have a set infinite impermanence in the same column as altergeist protocol and your opponent summons an altergeist monster can you use infinite impermanence to negate its effects?
Imperm's second effect is a "then" effect that applies on resolution so it wouldn't negate protocol since it couldn't negate the monster effect in the first place with the activation being illegal assuming that there are only altergeist monsters on their field
Ruling question: Say I activate raigeki and my opponent chains ehther the heavenly monarch to summon itself from hand. Do they still get the on summon effect of ehther the heavenly monarch or does it Miss timing
By the time Ehther would be able to activate its effect on summon, it's no longer in the location where that effect would trigger, but instead in the GY. So, according to the April 1st, 2020 rule changes (which all big official events have followed up till now), you can't activate Ehther's effect. Granted, you should still ask the Head Judge at your tournament, since they might not be adopting the rule changes.
Let me explain something in that scenario Chain-link 1 is raigeki and chain-link 2 is ehther so happens is ehther resolves then raigeki resolves and ehther just dies. He does not activate his effect because his effect starts a chain and he is in the graveyard and missed timing according to the rulings of tcg NA however this is only for tcg NA and not other tcg rulings.
@@Balila_balbal_loki Idk based on what you're saying this is just a TCG NA thing. This is most definitely an OCG thing, but which has been applied in all big TCG events since April 1st, 2020, whether they be NA or EU events. Don't see what TCG NA has to do with this.
Just to clarify about the solfachord question: If I control one of the low scale monsters that say my opponent cannot activate effects when a solfachord is Pend summoned, does that still apply if I summon non solfachord alongside them? Cause I feel like that's a different interaction
If you Pendulum Summon Solfachords and non-Solfachords together, the effect of that scale still applies, as all those monsters were summoned at the same time and Solfachord monsters were summoned.
Pendulum summoning is instantaneous all of these summons happen at the same time and are all consider to have performed 1 summon. When you pendulum summon and you declare that what you are pendulum summoning a solfachord since it meets the condition of a low scale you stop your opponent from chaining against you which means they cannot activate anything however mandatory and continuous effects on the field still apply for example if you summoned in under saryuja and now his mandatory effect immediately props after the summon was successful to increase attack so your opponent can activate torrential tribute as a chain-link 2 and blow up the field and if you summoned while your field is empty while gozen match is active you still have to remove a monster immediately but this removal does not start a chain.
Hey man, first off I just want to say I really enjoy your videos. My question is involving with D/D/D Duo-Dawn King Kali Yuga. What is the rule for spell speed for this card in particular to be negated, such as solemn Strike?
If you mean the effect of Kali Yuga, it doesn't activate. It simply applies the moment it is successfully Xyz Summoned. Due to this, you cannot respond to the effect.
This happened during one of my duels casually tho. So I summoned trishula dragon of the ice barrier and my opponent activated rocket tracer to destroy itself to special summon a monster from the deck however, when the chain resolved I banished the tracer from the gy with Trish her effect does the effect of tracer still go off since it's banished now?
