Floor Jansen - Euphoria | Beste Zangers (React/Review) 

The Netherlands will host the Eurovision songcontest next week because we won the last edition. This Dutch show was celebrating this songcontest. A number o Dutch artists sung covers from previous editions. Floor sang a cover of the Swedish winner of 2012. Because of her surgery she couldn’t make it to be in the Netherlands because she lives in Sweden. I think Floor crushed this!

Floor was almost unknown in her home country, only in the metal scene. This TV-show made her a star in the netherlands over night and blew the other singers minds.

Floors songs from this show are all gold.

‘Euphoria’ original by Loreen, the winner at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest representing Sweden. That same country Floor is living in with her husband and daughter. So for me this is also some kind of honoring for her current homeland. The latest version the Eurovision Song Contest was held (2019 due to Covid-19) the Netherlands won, so the upcoming contest will be organized by that country. This Beste Zangers episode is produced IOT honor several winning songs from the Eurovision history and as a vehicle to bring the country in the good mood. It’s no contest itself. Floor wasn’t able to attend live cause she was recovering from a surgery.

Yes her voice is phenomenal. Then you add the emotions that flow with every word she sings, her facial expressions, her body movements, her vocal range and versatility is what makes Floor in my opinion the greatest singer alive. I don't think that she purposely emends it, but also her stage presence at times is magnetic and hypnotic. We are witnessing a living legend for which I am extremely thankful of.

This show was different because they all sang songs of the Eurovision Songcontest. Floor sang the song of the winner of this contest in 2012, Sweden. Once a year this contest is held in the country who won the contest the year before. This year it's held in The Netherlands (my country). It's very popular. Almost all European countries and even Australia and Israël participate in it. More than 200 milion people watch it live!!

There is a unique tone that she uses to just soar straight into your heart. Amazing. Loved it!

It was not a contest ...... almost all singers in the Dutch tv-show Beste Zangers were invited to sing a song (original or translated) from the Eurovision Songcontest over the years. This Eurovision Songcontest is a (yearly recurring since 1956) contest which takes place in the country that has won this in the year before. (Participants from around 35 countries).

The correct title is "Youflooria". And you can hear this term if you listen to the song often enough.😁 Floor has to recover from a gallstone operation, so she couldn't be there live in the studio. So the show came to her. 5:32 😂

Well you're gonna be even more impressed when you find out why she wasn't there and prerecorded her part... She was recovering from a serious surgery she did recently, and she couldn't fly there....and she performed like that 😅😅 A weekend before she was performing with Nightwish in the amazing virtual show like nothing ever happened. EuFlooria! Floor was at home in her studio, she's on the large screen for the Beste Zangers guests, that was Rolf on the couch with the presenter, he was in this show with Floor 2019. You simply must watch that series, it was magical! With English captions.

If you get a chance, go back and listen to the original from the 2012 Eurovision contest. It was great then too. Floor took a great song and turned it into a masterpiece. I've listened to this about 20 times already and EVERY TIME I get teared up.

A vieuw artist where asked to cover a song that was on the eurovision contest Floor Janssen did this song and seen the reactions of so many people it impressed a lot of them including me.

This was not a contest. The original artist was Looren and it had more of a dancefeel. The winner of the contest usual ends up in every popchart in the European countries not so much in the USA.

Hi guys, you should check out Floor on all the shows from "Beste Zangers" (= best singers) in 2019, where she performed several great songs in many different styles. The show is not a contest, but every episode all the singers perform one song that has special meaning for the person sitting on the central couch. Although Floor was already famous in the world of Nightwish, she wasn't yet well known in her own home country, but that season of Beste Zangers was her breakthrough in The Netherlands and everybody adores her ever since.

I know Americans always feel the need to see things like a contest/competition/conflict....but as you can read from all the comments below "Beste Zangers" isn't.....just a bunch of Dutch singers singing for each other with the utmost of respect for each other...this one was a special "Beste Zangers" with a Eurovison-Songfestival-theme. They all sang songs based on older entries to Eurovision (this one was the Swedish entry, and winner some years ago), and because The Netherlands won in 2019, they'll be hosting Eurovision Songfestival in a couple of weeks....(2020 was cancelled for an obvious reason...)

They’re are many songs that she sang on this show from a while back that you should check out. It’s from a an earlier series, so she is present when performing those songs.

Beste Zangers (Best Singers) is not a contest. These people on the couch are al dutch singers. This show is just for fun. Singers will sing to each other not to be the best or for a contest. You have MISSED OUT on Floor...this particular show you just reacted to is a celebration for the upcoming "Eurovision" contest, which will be held in Floor's native The Netherlands this year. The song won that contest in 2012 by an artist named, Loreen (Swedish singer). Floor participated in the series Beste Zangers in the 2019 season. In that Dutch TV series, each season they bring a group of Dutch singers from different genres together, and each episode they take turns being the feature artist, where the other singers each take turns singing one of that artist's songs in their own interpretation/style, or a song that has deep meaning for that artist. They also talk about the featured artist's life, influences, etc., between songs. It's an AMAZING show, no competition, just enjoyment of music and each other. I HIGHLY suggest you watch Floor's performances on that show. She sang her version, as a solo, of Lady Gaga's "Shallow", and it is OTHERWORLDLY. ALL of her performances on that show were incredible. The dutch aren't into metal, so most of them didn't even know who Floor was, and each episode she BLEW...THEM...AWAY. She went from virtually unknown in the Netherlands to suddenly winning Vocalist of the Year there a few months later. She also does a duet with Henk Poort (Dutch opera and musical star) on that show of "The Phantom of the Opera" that nearly broke the internet when it came out!

Not only in Dutch but in a lot of non-English speaking languages the "A" is pronounced like in "car". Or like the "aaaah" in "Amen" . Best Singers= Beste Zangers. The "ng" is spoken like the "ng" in "ringing". The 2nd "e" in Beste and the "e"' in Zangers is pronounced a bit like the "u" in "but". The "J" is pronounced as "Y". So Floor YAnsen.
