@@hadessama93 My all time fave from Floor with Nighwish is also Ghost Love Score - Live At Wacken , when Floor puts everything she got in the song at ending climax. This song always gives me chills and goosies though I’ve seen that video hundreds of times and feels I never get enough of it. Floor is absolutely the best vocalist ever🤘

Me, too! Their TG25 ode to Mozart would be a very appropriate start for TCV to remedy the absence of The Gathering (with Annie) on her channel, so just in case Lizzie sees this great suggestion of yours: "The Gathering - Travel (TG25: Live at Doornroosje - unofficial video)". Anneke as a guest would be a hoot, cuz she's tons of fun, but also very informative. She's the godmother of them all (at least in NL).

in some ways this is confusing... Floor is to me some Goddess-level persona... she can have 80 thousands people in the palm of her hand and STILL she's a simple woman, battling with diseases, worrying about her daughters and struggling with life-work balance with her husband. THANK YOU Elizabeth for letting all sides of Floor emerge. You two have so much in common. Floor may well be one of the best singer ever to be born but you are an accomplished musical prodigy yourself! 😍

For me it’s simple. She is our Valkyrie Goddess on stage with Nightwish. She can be that in her solo performances. Offstage she is a very human sensitive woman with a family both human and animal which keeps her grounded. All the work offstage creates what we see onstage performances including albums & music videos.

I absolutely get what you're saying. But as a serious reply, I think the main takeaway from this observation should be, "I wonder if every God-tier person I've ever admired is also a simple person, dealing with normal, every day crap, trying to make sense of life, too?" I don't have a definitive answer to that question, but I suspect that other than actual narcissists and psycho/socio-paths, the answer is "Yes".

I first heard Floor in After Forever around 2007, always loved her voice, no one better in my opinion. Nightwish has been my fav band since I first heard their album Once in 2004. Her becoming the a part of Nightwish was a dream come true.

What a wonderful moment in time. Floor is just such a graceful human, and unique as a "celebrity" because she is so incredibly normal, all the while gifting us with an other-worldly skill. The match of this incredible voice with the greatest composer of my lifetime, along with their virtuoso brothers on instruments has gifted us with thought provoking and life adjusting music that should resonate through centuries. Very nice of Floor to acknowledge the importance of Anneke van Giersbergen's debut with The Gathering (she was already their third vocalist, they had been through a bunch of guys). After she became the leadsinger on the Mandylion album everything changed and female vocalists became more and more prevalent in metal. Anneke's influence can never be overstated enough.

YES!!!!! After 4 years of waiting, it finally happened! I'm not at all surprised Floor is like this. I'm a New Yorker who works for an American company that's a subsidiary of a Dutch conglomerate. My best friend at the office is a Dutch girl who moved here at the beginning of 2023, and she has one of those beautiful personalities where it's impossible to think negatively of her. I've also spoken with multiple employees at the parent company's headquarters in the Netherlands, and they're equally just as nice.

I have to say I really love how long these are. It's one thing when you see an interview that's like 5-30 minutes where there's either no time spent building rapport, or almost the entire time is just building rapport. But with interviews/discussions of this length you get enough time to both build a great rapport and have some real in depth discussions.

When she started talking about how the song triggered that memory of her being sick, it hit me. I went through something I never thought I would get through which is losing my pregnancy and when I heard How’s the Heart again after a while, the first line “You see a mother with no child” it made me sob like proper cry my eyes out. But it helped me release that sadness I had, the loss, the anger. So yeah it does happen and l will never not associate this song to the feeling of pain I was feeling in the process I went through but is also good to know it helped me to get some peace. Thank you for this Elizabeth! And thank you Floor ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ahhh Elizabeth ❤ Saw Floor Jansen on stage at Sheffield Corporation in 2011 with her band at the time ReVamp. They were supporting Epica and this involved a duet with Simone Simons in the set list. Two amazing dutch sopranos. 😊
