Floor can make anything better. There was even a joke about how she could sing the phone book, and we would all listen to it. And yes, she did it!

Something that you should know about FLOOR JANSEN. She started singing in a symphonic metal band at just 16 years old. After Forever (1995-2009). Then she created a new Progressive Metal band, ReVamp (2009-2016). In 2018 she released a personal Hard Rock project (Northward). In 2012, she was invited by Nightwish to finish their world tour, after the band's second female singer (Annete Olzon) left. In 2013 she became Nightwish's full time lead Vocalist. She is a singing teacher. She sings in Dutch, German, English, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish, Italian and Latin. She sings Heavy Metal, Trash Metal, Pop, Rock, Symphonic Metal, Arya and Opera. She even sang rap. In March 2023 she launched her first Pop solo album "Paragon". THE BEST SINGER TODAY IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

Floor has a side project as a pop artist. As a matter of fact at the pinkpop festival in the Netherlands last year she did a full solo set in the morning and a full nightwish set in the evening.

Any style, any genre, Floor will just nail it.

This band is the group from Beste Zangers Dutch TV show....the Marcel Fisser Band (Marcel is the lead guitar player). Floor was so impressed by them on the show she did in 2019 that she took them with her on her solo shows.

Floor was bored during the pandemic and recorded a bunch of covers at home, all top notch. After TV show Beste Zengers and SMS she decided to release a Soloalbum . This song is from her solo show .... :-) Greetings from nwAse Sweden

Crazy how much this version has evolved. Her "studio version" at home was already great, but this one is another level.

Wacken 2013 and this concert by Floor, Amsterdam Live 2021, are my 2 favorite things from Nightwish and Floor. Well, there are 30+ more things that are also great.

We had to sit, and not freak out, Corona Rules...well that was the hardest Thing at this eve;) it was absolute worth the Travel from south Germany:) She is such an Gem and you and we are blessed to life in the same Time as Floor. Floor has a solo career outside of Nightwish. Also on her channel you’ll find videos of her previous bands After Forever (1997-2009) and reVamp (2009-2016). Oh, and just FYI, the “J” in Jansen is pronounced like a “Y.” Unfortunately, they have already announced they will not tour for the new album.

This is not a Nightwish production, but "only" Floor's own cover. She produced it during the "covid times" and published it on her channel in a series (of covers) in end 2020/begin 2021. And the band accompanying her - this is a group that formed around Floor (and Henk Poort) after the success in Dutch TV show Beste Zangers 2019, after which she got (more) widelly known in Netherlands, and managed to do short series of concerts around her birth country, in the winter/spring 2020 (after which she should have continued "big" tour with Nightwish presenting their (then) new album "Human || Nature" but all that stuff got cancelled due to Covid and everyone was sitting at home... so she did those covers :)

We got this gem on her RU-vid channel during lockdown along with a bunch of awesome covers to keep her voice in shape; I love the one in her barn, and this one one sung during one of her solo concerts (she released her solo album last year - check it out!). Her daughter was singing it all the time so she recorded her cover. She did Frozen 2 as well!

Great reaction! After several months of being stuck at home during the pandemic lockdown, Floor started recording videos in her home recoding studio with her husband Hannes van Dahl, drummer of the band Sabaton, doing most of the video recording and editing work. Floor's daughter Freja, who I think was about 4 at that time, was watching Frozen multiple times and so for her first cover she recorded Let it Go so that everybody had to have it stuck in their heads like it was in hers. This performance was from her solo show in Amsterdam in September of 2021. Floor was on a Dutch singing show called Beste Zangers in 2019 which made her very popular in the Netherlands. Hard to believe but metal music is not very popular in the Netherlands (which is funny given the number of great symphonic metal bands from there) and Floor was practically unknown. With her new found popularity a tour of live shows in the Netherlands was organized with the Marcel Fisser Band from Beste Zangers as her backing band. She performed songs from her previous bands After Forever, Revamp, Northward, as well as Nightwish and songs from the Beste Zangers show. Since many of her new fans were more pop fans then metal they changed up the metal songs to make them more rock friendly. Many of Floor's fans around the world were asking for her to tour outside the Netherlands which wasn't possible but she decided to crowdfund a professional recording of the last concert of the tour. Her fans responded and it was funded in only a few days. Then the pandemic hit and the concert got delayed until 2021. This video is from that concert. Every song from the concert as well as the full concert and a documentary about the tour have been released on her YT channel. Highly recommend the documentary as it is very informative about the start of Floor's solo projects. She had added some of her cover songs that she had released during the pandemic to the setlist in addition to the previous songs. If you want to check out more intime solo songs, during covid pandemic, she made many covers in her own home studio, which are all Great 👍There is even a little bit more rocking version of this ”Let it go”. Floor made also her own songs, and released a full album. How ever, you have still over 50 great Nightwish songs to go as well 😁

No chance of seeing Nightwish on tour any time soon, but Floor has a few concerts in the Netherlands that I'm considering - it's only an hour and a half flight away. Although I'm still hoping that she brings her solo shows to the UK in the near future. I just read yesterday that she has very recently moved house, and with that and her new mothering duties it's understandable that she's been a bit quiet lately. But I'm still hoping...

Her solo album is well worth a listen - don't expect Nightwish, but you do get her voice - oh, that voice.....
