One of my favorites is Floor's rendition of "Euphoria" from the Beste Zangers Eurovision song festival. She couldn't be there live, so she sang it from home just days after her surgery.

Floor is a grandmaster at arousing completely different emotions in the listener with each song. Her understanding of music and extreme versatility makes her so unique and a goddess of music. I love to see how she can inspire you with every song.

So how about Frozen 2? Compare Floor's version of "Into The Unknown" with the original and with Aurora's version. The background story..... Floor's and Hannes's daughter had been walking around in the house for months singing this song and driving them crazy. So - what do you do during a pandemic lock-down, you are Floor .... You look into the YT camera and say to your fans ' now it's your turn to get a song stuck in your heads'. And then she did this. And she was right. We all went around for months singing this . Great reaction from you 👍

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a blizzard that formed outside the studio. She started singing this to her daughter, because her daughter is a big fan of the movie. Floor can sing anything....

Hi Nina. Saw ppl suggesting Floor's "Beste Zangers" performances. Absolutely great stuff. Here's some info (also on the best versions to use). The "Beste Zangers" goldmine is a treasure trove of all things Floor. I'll try to keep this short.. and post a follow-up with all the necessary l!nks. So this is about songs that were performed by Floor during the legendary 2019 edition of the Dutch TV show, "Beste Zangers". In English, this translates into "Best Singers" but it can also be taken as "Dear Singers", as in a written invitation. That's what the show is about. No competition or anything. Just accomplished singers gathered together in an intimate setting far from home (this was filmed on Ibiza, if I'm not mistaken). Each episode is dedicated to one of the singers. The others perform songs that have a special meaning for the singer at the centre of attention. What's so nice abt Floor in that show was that most of the other singers didn't know her. She was that "metal chick" and not well known in the mainstream. Most of the Dutch television audience didn't know much about her either. That was about to change dramatically. In short, she blew all of them away singing in German, Dutch, English and Spanish. From the get-go, she set the bar so high that the others stepped up their game and in turn delivered stellar performances when they sang to Floor (and were incredibly nervous). Special mention in this respect: Emma Heesters (a RU-vid singer) who sang Floor's song "Strong" to Floor (who had written it for her mother who suffers from chronic RA). Tissues handy for that one! When doing reactions as a non-Dutchie, it's best to go with the English subbed versions. If YT doesn't allow me to include the l!nks, know that all the subbed versions can be found on the channel "Floor op TV", playlist: Beste Zangers 2019. These versions include the lovely before/after banter which provides some very useful & fun context to the songs. The official versions (by broadcaster AVRO/TROS) I would not recommend, since they miss the before/after and also tend to get blocked increasingly. Cheers from Amsterdam! 🤘

Something that you should know about FLOOR JANSEN. She started singing in a symphonic metal band at just 16 years old. After Forever (1995-2009). Then she created a new Progressive Metal band, ReVamp (2009-2016). In 2018 she released a personal Hard Rock project (Northward). In 2012, she was invited by Nightwish to finish their world tour, after the band's second female singer (Annete Olzon) left. In 2013 she became Nightwish's full time lead Vocalist. She is a singing teacher. She sings in Dutch, German, English, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish, Italian and Latin. She sings Heavy Metal, Trash Metal, Pop, Rock, Symphonic Metal, Arya and Opera. She even sang rap. THE BEST SINGER TODAY IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

Unfortuunately she had recently undergone gall bladder surgery so could not fly, but she presented via a video she made at her home studio which they played on a screen

Hi Nina, there is another amazing Symphonic Metal band you should check out, they are called EPICA, they are from the Netherlands (same as Floor), another incredible female lead singer Simone Simons, this is a live performance from earlier this year, in Amsterdam: EPICA - Unleashed (Live At The AFAS Live)

What's even more amazing is that this was done at home during the pandemic lockdown. I think Euphoria has to be on your list too.

When it came out someone added the Frozen scene from the song to Floor's version and added the Orchestral Karaoke track underneath which makes the score very thick. It was a magnificent piece of editing.

I love that this one has the exact length and timing of the original. There is a version of the movie footage with Floor doing the vocals. Makes a great impression.

On another video I just posted that some people call the bands like Floor's former bands Eftelingmetal. Well. Other people call Efteling 'The Dutch Disneyland'. Add 1 + 1 and ot's a no brainer why she covered it. I think you're spot on with the pronounciation of Oscar Fläring. Although Swedish, it sounds like a German surname,. But maybe Oscer instead of Oscar - although probably they know better :) Arrangement is like a mix between Dream Theater and Iron Maiden. Having said that, I'm not sure why I'm watching your videos. At best I'm a backup singer. No wait. At best I sing vocals of silly jingles. There's that. But mainly I am - or certainly was mainly a music writer. If not arranger. And certainly just... Jamming. Like freestyle singing, but playing instead.

I love this version. Floor’s voice is warmer and rounder than Idina Menzel’s. Sometimes I feel like that high note at the end can kinda blow your head off, but Floor’s voice softens it a little.

Want to see Floor being amazing without giant note and sustain. Watch her sing in Beste Zangers singing Que Si Siente . Singing is a language she can't speak and absolutely killing the latin vibe ( really!)

As I watched you reacting to Eurovision recently you might enjoy Floor's interpretation of Loreen's previous winning song called Euphoria. Floor obviously knows her strengths and weaknesses, and knows what she likes in the musical backing. This wouldn't be the first time she has played with the musical arrangement of a song. Even on her season on Beste Sangers, she gave a couple of tunes more of a rock edge to them, compared to the original.

Floor should sing every Disney theme song!

Personally I find her version of Into The Unknown from Frozen 2 much better than this one

The video volume is tok low compared to your voice audio. And your constant talking and noises booms in my ear buds. And why don't you do a video in 2 parts so you can do a video where you just watch a listen and one where you're constantly pausing and talking.

And this is why you never record nor mix or do anything with Apple computers! What a shame!
