One of the best performances i’ve ever witnessed. Floor Jansen is an amazing singer! No copyright infringement intended. This is just a reaction video. Link to original video: • Nightwish - Ghost Love...
@@galadballcrusher8182 There is no true subwoofer that can fit in a laptop. Just calling it a subwoofer doesn't make it a subwoofer. You're still a criminal! :)
Nightwish is a finnish symphonic metal band not dutch. Only Floor their current lead singer is from Netherlands. And this was open air concert in Germany.
Amy is really good, but Floor and all the others Metal Goddesses like Simone, Sharon, Liv, Tarja and the Queen of Queens Anneke are just on Celestial Level.
Only Floor is from the Netherlands. The band Nightwish is from Finland, formed in 1996. They took Floor to the band in 2012. This concert was in Wacken Germany.
I agree with you. Ghost love score is my favorite song ever. Sorry, I love Amy lee, but Floor is absolutely superior. No dubt. If you react the other Nightwis song you'll prove it.
I love to see people react to their first encounter with Nightwish, the best band in the world with the amazing Floor as the frontwoman. Welcome to the Nightwish Army!!! Thanks for your great reactions
It's to early, he need to check previos Nightwish singers Tarja and Anette first... but if not..Just please, read the behind story of that song before...and find video with lyrics to react to. Believe me! You will understand much more this Epic perfection of the song🤘
This entire concert is awesome. Floor was made a member of the band just before this show after being a fill-in for 10 months. This was her coming out party in front of 80,000 metal-heads oh and by the way we are recording this for a DVD of the entire concert. She came out as did the band blazing and they never stopped for 15 songs in this set list. BTW this was the 13th song done some 70+ minutes into the concert and she was still full throttle with her power, range and stage presence. Try anything else from this concert as the band was playing their A+ game all night and Floor, well Floor was just Floor. Hey if you want to appreciate Floor even more she is singing on a Dutch TV show where each week they honor a singer by singing one of their songs (group of 7 professional singers) from different genres. She sang an Opera aria to the 1st guest (Opera singer) and didn't like the sound in Dutch so she sang it in the original German!! The Opera singer's mother sang it to him as a child and he choked up at the end. She next did a Pop song that the original singer wrote about her mother that was so moving , she sang that one in Dutch. Finally, this past week she sang a Salsa song to the original singer and did it in Spanish!!! Needless to say she was terrific try them out if you really want to she and hear Floor without the Nightwish band: Opera (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lcLG5X1i2QM.html) Pop (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sj1ibZrjQTs.html) Salsa (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DfYeLUoqw0E.html)
Singer Simone Simons from the Dutch symphonic-metal band EPICA has also a very good voice like Floor. Her voice live also sounds the same as in audio. Simone Simons and Floor Jansen are very good friends for years. Floor Jansen was guest singer at EPICA's 10th anniversary special live concert in 2013. They are both so amazing.
Immediately falling in love with Floor is the appropriate reaction. Happened to all of us the first time we heard that Amazon Valkyrie warrior-goddess sing. I thoroughly enjoyed your Floorgasms, my friends.
The music is called symphonic metal and i very populair in Europe and South America. The band is from Finland and founded 1996. So far the band has had 3 vocalists 1 Tarja Turunen (Finish) pure opera voice also very good live. (until 2005) 2 Anette Olzon (Schwedish) more pop style. fine in the studio but not good live. (until 2012) 3 Floor Jansen* (Dutch) (current). * She is the vocalist you saw in this clip. She has a classical vocal background education and can sing any style she likes from jazz to opera high to growling low. Believe me when i tell you you have not even scratched the surface yet of what she's capable of. Band members Tuomas Holopainen (The keyboard player and creative mind behind the band. He writes about 95% of the music and lyrics) Marco Hietela (the viking with the long beard (Bass and vocals) Jukka "Julius" Nevalainen (The drummer) Erno "Emppu" Vuorinen (the hobbit like guitar player) Troy Donockley ( a person who did not play on this song but is a multi instrumentalist from the UK) The clip was shot a few months after Floor jointed the band right in the middle of their US leg of the world tour. They asked her to join after tensions between the previous (Anette) vocalist and the rest of the band had rissen so high that they fired her. With close to a year still to go to complete the tour, and their next concert planned 2 day later they, needed a replacement fast. They called Floor because she had toured with them when she was part of the support bands"After Forever" and later "Revamp" on several occasions and they were quiet impressed by her vocals (who would not be?). She only had 2 days, including a flight from the Netherlands to the US, to learn the setlist and only had one rehearsal with the band a couple of hours before her first show and nailed it. Since they were making a documentary about the worldtour a lot of what happened was recorded. The documentary is called "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours" (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vhExkmWKMEU.html ) As a next song to take a look at i would recommend their masterpiece "The poet and the pendulum" live at Wembley. Before you take a look at it i would recommend to take a look at the backstory of this song. This will make you appreciate it much more. here is the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gbn9GczYBkw.html BTW that last note she just sang? Nightwish fans created a whole new word for when she does something impressive like that. We call it a Floorgasm. Welcome to the club and boy are you going to receive a lot of traffic on your channel. ;-)
A little correction. You say this is from just a few months after. I believe you are refering to the Buenos Aires Clip which was 10 weeks after her stepping in for Anette. This Clip is from Wacken 2013... according to wiki august 3 to be precise :)
Nightwish is one of the best band in the world where Floor Jansen is their current lead singers who's known as one of the best versatile female singers. Yes Floor is commanding her voice, her stages presence and the ways she singing to interpret every songs always delivered well. So, enjoy your musically journey experiences with Nightwish.
In case anyone hasn't mentioned it yet.... That song was the 13th in the set that night. She still had two more songs to go. I have watched every live performance of her available. She has never once hit a bad note. Three of the band sing well. The bass player Marko has a fantastic range too and blends with her perfectly. Welcome to the Nightwish rollercoaster!
Just on a trend of watching reactions, but I've listened to the entire concert - it's the album "Showtime, Storytime" and it's on Spotify. She killed it the entire show.
I saw Nightwish GLS reaction and I clicked it. I just can't stop watching peoples gives a reaction to Floor Jansen with Nightwish in live performances.
That's Floor, Our Valkyrie Goddess! You guys were fantastic, some of the best FLoorgasms' ever, as per my usual requests on these videos. Storytime Wacken 2013, Greatest Show on Earth at Tampere live. also going to throw in Romanticide also wacken 2013, and Poet and the Pendulum Wembly. All fantastic songs.
Floor is by far my favorite female vocalist. So many styles she can sing in combined with raw power and superior stage presence. Nightwish is also one of the tightest bands I have ever heard. They are amazing. You are going to most likely react to a lot of the Wacken open-air performances. In German, the W is actually pronounced as a V. Vachen. Great reaction. With Floor as frontwoman and the addition of Troy Donockley Nightwish is now complete.
More Nightwish please!! Something that many people don't consider is that none of the band in this video have English as their first/native language, the only member of Nightwish that has English as his first language is Troy who isn't on stage for this song.
What?? Nightwish Nephi? Not expecting you will react to this hahaha. So you better react to their performance of the poet and the pendulum live at wembley. Also phantom of the opera live with their 1st singer Tarja
Probably someone allready tols you but on this show there was appr 80000 people in the crowd and it looks like she completely has the control over each one of the. Wish I was there. Hopefully I can see them live next summer. Great reaction!!
If you like it there is more from the Waken 2013 Concert. "Romanticide", "my Song" and many more. Master Piece is: The Poet and the Pendulum live from Wembley.
1.83 m height for non-North Americans (which are the only ones that do not use the metric system 😉) ... and wacken had 82,000 visitors this year (2013)
@@PPfilmemacher 'Murica prefers to live in the Dark Ages, guess that come's from thinking your an Empire, whatever WE do is right, no matter if the rest of the world left that old antique system in the dust ages ago. But, we all know what happens to Empires.
i'm glad you like it.....there are some others nightiwsh's songs i enjoy a lot, such as ghost river, the islander, weak fantasy etc. ..... anyway, good reaction! cheers!
Here is some information that may help you navigate Nightwish's music. This is my standard speech that I give everyone that is not familiar with the band........ Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a female fronted symphonic metal band. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrulmentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent member of the band. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just saw her. There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. Lol
i call she is like a XENA..but she is the princess warrior angel from the paradise...thanks for your react to this my favorite singer. regards from Indonesia
That is the Floorgasm reaction , just wanna go to that concert so bad . get ready because next year they will start a new world tour . AND an new album is on its way ....
Your reaction was great, and you described her technique perfectly. Shout out to your appreciation of the band too! You should know, floor is actually a vocal coach. I'm sure you noticed from the video she was switching between contemporary and classical technique, that's because she also has training in both.
i love the crowd shots in this dvd. so many of the same people you see in each song. you look forward to seeing them. there she is! and those two! love it!
Floor is the Ferrari of female vocalists. She knows the power is there when it needs to be. And you can relax because she will always deliver. Her G sharp 5 is a sonic boom! 😋
While I still come to hear Floor singing, after enough of these I find myself focusing more and more on Jukka going absolutely batshit crazy behind her as she hits those high notes.
I told you that she is a sensation, you also have to see her performance in the best zangers of last week and the week before. It was also for the first time that I saw Nightwish, metal is not so popular in the Netherlands, but this great stuff. Also Glennis Grace did 2 great concerts last week it's coming little by little on RU-vid.
Technically they are cuz they're both metal which is the main genre. The same way Metallica and Slipknot are both metal, they're different sub-genres though. But Im being a nitpick bitch, I totaly get what you mean, they're not a whole lot like each other and comparing them is really quite ridiculous yet everyone and their dog keeps doing it. But I guess if you don't normally listen to metal you have no frame of referens and since probably everyone heard atleast one song by Evanescence, that's the closest thing they know of ... It is kinda annoying, but I can kinda see why it keeps happening. 🤮
@@Sabbiedebabbie then they're wrong. Rock would be the Beatles and Oasis, Hard Rock would be AC/DC and Evanescence is metal, more specifically Neo or Nu-metal. It's in the same genre as e.g Linkin Park and P.o.D. Would you say Evanescence share more similarities with Linking Park or AC/DC?
Very good reaction :-)) The concert u see are on the wacken concert in germany . u can take even song at this concert, the hole band was without any fail, and this for, i believe, 100 minutes . Yes she can sing everything from opera to growl. Try for more opera style The poet and the pendulum life at wembley, when u will hear her growling u must see Yours is an empty hope. Or see how they are starting in a concert, Shudder before the beatyfull best wishes from Germany
Doesn't Floor look like Wonder Woman when she comes on, with that beautiful hair blowing in the wind?😍 This gal can sing like no other. (More fondly known to her listeners as a 'Floorgasm'!!🤣👍
Songs with Floor: Nightwish - Romanticide live from Wacken 2013 Revamp - Disdain live at Graspop 2010 After Forever - Monolith of Doubt live from Kopspijkers 2002 Northward - While Love Died
It's always nice to see people who actually understand the challenges in music react to Ghost Love Score (and other Nightwish/Floor tracks). Loved the reaction and commentary. Please look into recording that doesn't involve open mic though :)
To answer your question, yes she's tall! 6' 1" in her bare feet. Our Amazon, our wonderful amazing Floor! BTW guys, this is one of the most purely enjoyable reactions to this performance I've seen! Clearly you two have a decent amount of training too, to *really* appreciate specific parts of the vocals. Nice!!!!!
Aki's expression was priceless! I do hope however, she finds out Amy Lee can no longer be number one (even though I appreciate Amy Lee, her last life performances are not really that good). Nephi, you adress the Netherlands (thank you :)), but only Floor is Dutch. Nightwish is a Finnish band. That said, Floor is married to the drummer from Sabaton, which is a Swedish band, and has done a project with a guitarist from Norway. Furthermore, she sings in German (your first reaction to Vilja lied), Dutch and Spanish (in her latest appearance, even when she doesn't speak the language). In this Ghost Love Score performance, she was already singing for about 70 minutes in the concert (82000 visitors).
DoICountToo Yes. I know that Miss Amy Lee is waaaay past her prime. What I meant was: Evanescence was the first band who introduced me to this genre and made me appreciate it. And now, Nightwish made me appreciate it more.
Aki Omega Which is saying something considering both were born like 10 months apart (Floor is the only one). I guess that means that Floor has more healthy singing techniques?
@@mangalover0149 The only thing I could find about Amy, is that she had no professional training and some 'experts' say she puts too much strength on her vovals to reach certain notes. So it could be the lack of proper technique. Floor had the drive to learn every technique available to sing high notes, belting and growling. It shows...
You were talking about scales, vocal ranges... Floor Jansen is an F5 in the Wakita Scale, the scale that meassures tornadoes. As they say, "an F5 can move your house completely from one place to another".
Hello!
