Floor is without a doubt the most talented and versatile vocalist alive today, and she is so humble and filled with love for everyone. To know that a YT channel like that exist is very upsetting. I feel sorry for that poor troubled soul.
I totally agree with you...Floor is the most complete singer that I have heard in my 63 years! I cannot listen to her version of Shallow without tears welling up ! #JustJen I am a big tough guy...at 6'6" and 350 lbs of ex football player...and she has an ability to bring out emotions with her voice that I have only experienced once in my lifetime, and that was with Karen Carpenter...may she rest in peace! I cried like a little boy when I heard she died from an eating disorder. I wish this big old Texas man could meet you! Love to give you a big ole hug! I just love how real you are, and that you don't hold back your emotions!!
Jen...There would be people who would hate a cure for cancer. Obviously anyone with an IQ above room temperature could see Floor Jansen is an incredible performer.
Floor actually did TWO covers of Shallow on this season of the show. A few weeks after this one, on the same episode where she did the Phantom duet with Henk, she re-created Shallow with Tim Akkerman (the guy with the curly beard) singing the Bradley Cooper parts and playing guitar. The arrangement is more intense, similar to Gaga's original. For the last chorus, as Floor builds up the vocal intensity, she stands up from the bench, towering over Tim in her full-metal-jacket of black leather.... and we all thought, "Oh-oh! Oh-oh! She's gonna go full Nightwish on him and hurt the poor guy!!" But she mercifully spared his life by applying just the perfectly measured amount of vocal force. LOL! I think you would love seeing that one too. /// As for the guy with the haters channel, I'll wager that, behind the scenes, he probably is a big fan just like the rest of us. It's just that there are some people (seems to be almost exclusively males) that enjoy acting like huge douchebags just for the sake of trolling others to get a sick laugh out of watching us fume and get angry. These douchebags seem to feed off the attention they get by being assholes. They're best ignored and left to squirm around in the squalorous shadows like cockroaches.

I've been in love with her voice for something like 15 years since I heard her sing Leaden Legacy from her first band After Forever. To see her FINALLY get the recognition and love she deserves warms my heart. I feel so proud of everything she is. And I can't wait to finally see her live, I have my ticket but still don't know when it's going to happen.
I am going March 11 and 12th to the virtual concert, and I have a ticket for New York City on October 5. I will legitimately cry if it’s canceled for any of us

@3:15 she sings "Tell me something girl" again, even though in the original lyrics it's "boy" because she is singing the song to(/for) Emma (the girl in red) who was the guest of honor that episode. You should watch Emma sing "Strong" for Floor in the episode where Floor is the guest of honor as well. It's by far Floor's most personal song that she wrote about her mother in her After Forever days and Emma does such an awesome performance of that song she makes Floor cry (so keep your tissues close)

I 'must' react, Jen. I subscribed to your channel some days back. I had too, because of some simple, obvious reasons: devotion, sincerity, respect, honesty. Floor 'is' an angel and in these times of hatred, goin round the globe, even 'angels' are being hated too. Forgive those who do not feel and do not understand, caus 'we' will never be able to get a grip on what it means to hate those who bring love to the world. Do not lower yourself. You, yourself, are such a fine human. Focus only on the good and you'll notice, that one fine day, all that is good, comes together.
Every one of her performances in Beste Zangers are superb. If you can find the longer versions with subtitles they explain each song and then some will bring you to tears. Winner, Mama, etc.
Fortunately, you already express in your reactions in the Flor and Nightwish videos what I and thousands of people feel, it is impossible not to be moved listening to her, it is impossible not to love the artist Floor Jansen, not only is her perfect voice, it is her presence in the setting, the feeling he puts into each song, and how he interprets. Great reaction as always :) She's amazing, yes, I don't even listen to this song normally. I mean, I knew about it and think it's a good song, but still this version knocked me out, so I can imagine how those that already love it feel about this one :)
Sweet reaction Jen, this appearance on Beste Zangers is the catalyst for all these wonderful covers she has done the last few months. If someone wants to take the time to create a channel to simply 'hate' an artist well there is not much more to say there. If they do not like her and have rational arguments why then fine that is their right but to 'hate' well there is too much of that in the world now anyway.
Actually such a groups and channels are not new. They exist since Floor joined Nightwish and their members are mostly Tarja fanatics. Some of you might not know but they tried to do with Floor the same what they did with Anette. There were many arguments and wars in the comment sections of the videos with Floor and I guess they are still there. That's information from a first hand. Fortunately Floor fans and Floor itself with her talent made them fade away. Ther are still some residues. But it was brutal war. Insults towards Floor like "cow" and even "transgender " weren't rare cases. We passed two or three years in such fights till the situation calmed down.
Jen: "Shallow" This was one of the clips that made me fall head over heals with this married Goddess and I just have to keep reminding myself she's married.
Hoi Jen got a tip for you Floor singing Winner. Tim Akkerman wrote this song for his brother who is in a wheel chair. His brother always has a positive outlook on life. Tim all through the show was saying he doesn't get emotional and cry. At the end of the song he says "Verdomme Floor" Damn it Floor. Floor sang it to him to remind him he is a winner as well.
Everything Floor touches turns to gold!! Our Dutch Valkyrie Goddess is such a beauty! I love this version! I highly suggest you check her version of a popular German song, called Vilia Lied. She sung this for Henk on 'his' day for Beste Zangers. Even though it's sung in German, it's a beautiful piece - brought Henk to tears! (his mom would sing this for his father)

Have you seen Vilja Lied from Beste Zangers? Floor sang it for Henk. It was the first song of the first episode of the season. Henk's mother sang opera and used to sing Vilja Lied for him and his father, Floor set the bar for the season on the first song.
