Every tiler works so differently though. Our tiler placed a wet mixture of sand and cement on the ground then pasted the tin set on the tiles before placing that on the cement mixture. That method was also new to me. Your method is the typical method...but the tiles seem well laid so...just hoping for the best. This is in Jamaica though.
You can't compare the way they handle there work to compare here in Nigeria most of the bricklayers don't know how to rang the floor you can see the floor his applying the tile is very smooth his applying only cement without sand but Nigeria tiler are the one level the floor which is not suppose to be.
This is not the way to do it I've been a toddler for over 20 years and first of all you have to back butter the tile then add Blobs of thin-set then use a level
Bruh, how hard is it to back butter a 2x2 tile? 😂 And draw a line at least before troweling all that thinset to make it a little easier on not stepping in your shit.
