We had new carpet and LVP installled just before the holidays and I had to make transitions from the LVP to our tile. Each situation was a bit unique but the methods the same.
I’m glad you decided not to cover the screw heads. I’ve been trying to decide on this, but hate the idea of someone in the future just taking a pry bar to the transition and splintering floor and subfloor. Not sure someone would expect finish screws, so probably best to make the heads visible. Well done. Much better alternative to lousy plastic transitions.
Love it. I have an inch height difference, you recommend me gluing two planks together or have the plank leanin on angle with gap under it like crown kind of
Not sure which one your referring to but the homemade depth gauge is from a Woodsmith project and the one with the "star" on it is from Bridge City Tools. Thanks for watching.
@@JeffFischer1 it's the one kind of in the beginning of the video it looks like you would use it to set your table saw with the find out how much you want it to overlap maybe the tile from the wood basically the cut the notch out of it to sit up on top of the tile for the transition
@@JeffFischer1 it's the one you called your depth gauge I think you made it yourself that's awesome make me what I'll pay for it that would be awesome LOL I really would pay for it if you can make it
