There was a huge snowstorm where I live just a couple of days ago that really put me in the mood to paint something wintery but beautiful! So in this part 1 of 2, we will learn how to draw this lovely floral outline that will be all ready for painting in part 2 of 2. Wow! 10 inches is quite a bit! We got maybe only 5 or 6 inches, but then the wind blew really crazy for 2 days and caused some big drifts. In fact later when the weather calmed down, my kids went out and dug some tunnels right through some of the drifts! I agree with you though, the snow is fun and beautiful, but it’s nice when it melts too. 😉 As always, I appreciate so very much that you took the time to watch today, thank you. ❤️ I look forward to painting with you next week!

Wow Liesl! That is absolutely gorgeous! 😊💕 Your sketches are always so helpful, especially your using a sharpie so we are able to follow along much easier. But I’m also appreciative of the Etsy sketches! I wanted to and that it’s always so nice to see your smiling face! I’m so looking forward to painting this floral arrangement next week! It will be beautiful displayed in a frame! Have you ever considered doing a diptych or even a triptych? I think that would be a great challenge and fun too! 💕😊 Everything you do is always amazing! Yay! I’m so excited to share the painting tutorial next week! As for my ideas and inspiration, much of it just comes from a LOT of observation of anything that is around me. When I go on walks, go to stores, greenhouses etc. I look at how the light and shadow play together, I look at the way petals are shaped, or how a flower looks at different angles, and most of all I take hundreds of photos! Spring and Summer months are the best! I go crazy with taking pictures outside or in gardens, (greenhouses are my favorite photo reference places…) then when winter comes along I still have references to look at and get ideas from. 😊 Thank you for taking the time to watch today! I'm itching to get my my paints out again, Lisel but I have so many family commitments at the moment. When I'm top of those I'll definitely be painting this one. I must admit that I'm the same when I'm out and about - always wondering what colour combinations work etc. It must be an illness we've got. 🤣 Keep up the good work. x
