This is the song and the version we played at the funeral of my beloved wife today, and I'll be forever grateful to Florence and the band for helping me through this time with this and a couple other songs. This will have a place in my heart forever.
I’m so sorry for your loss. May the Lord bless and keep you and be your strength and comfort, now and always. I can tell you loved her very much and I just know that she was a lovely soul. This was a beautiful choice of song to attribute to her memory. 💛🕊
Looking up from underneath Fractured moonlight on the sea Reflections still look the same to me As before I went under And it's peaceful in the deep Cathedral where you cannot breathe No need to pray, no need to speak Now I am under all And it's breaking over me A thousand miles down to the sea bed I found the place to rest my head Never let me go, never let me go Never let me go, never let me go And the arms of the ocean are carrying me And all this devotion was rushing out of me And the crushes are heaven for a sinner like me But the arms of the ocean delivered me Though the pressure's hard to take It's the only way I can escape It seems a heavy choice to make But now I am under all And it's breaking over me A thousand miles down to the sea bed I found the place to rest my head Never let me go, never let me go Never let me go, never let me go And the arms of the ocean are carrying me And all this devotion was rushing out of me And the crushes are heaven for a sinner like me But the arms of the ocean delivered me And it's over and I'm goin' under But I'm not givin' up I'm just givin' in Oh, slipping underneath Oh, so cold but so sweet In the arms of the ocean, so sweet and so cold And all this devotion, I never knew it all And the crushes are heaven for a sinner released And the arms of the ocean delivered me Never let me go, never let me go Never let me go, never let me go Delivered me Never let me go, never let me go Never let me go, never let me go Delivered me Never let me go, never let me go Never let me go, never let me go Never let me go, never let me go Never let me go, never let me go And it's over and I'm goin' under But I'm not givin' up I'm just givin' in Oh, slipping underneath Oh, so cold but so sweet
Such a beautiful voice! I'm really partial to people who just sing full body almost scream the lyrics, she is amazing, I wish I had ever got a chance to see her live I hope I will
But the dress is one of the most beautiful dresses that I have seen in my entire life. And Florence? is pure magic! that dress takes me to another world with her amazing voice!!!! Art* Art**
Fall and rebirth through spirituality. This song talks about how the truth breaks you and then allows you to build yourself again. A though. Florence you're awesome.
Am I the only person that completely believes that Florence could totally pull off Pink Floyds the Great Gig in the sky? (if you've heard it then you know what I mean).
@@ephemeralexistence578 RIGHT?!? THIRD EYE TOO! Altho it’s a demo /not acoustic. But the fking RAWNESS/POWER IN HER VOCALS… jesus h Christ . EVERY. TIME. I hear that song I have this undeniable spiritual awakening/healing all at the same time. She’s like a singing wizard… whose banshee voice, lyrics & Melodie’s wash warmth & comfort thru out the land.

That's Robert Ackroyd, he's been her guitarist since 2007, is literally part of 'the machine' and is in 99% of her videos. I'm pretty sure he knows the dynamics 😅 Maybe he was having an off day but it sounded fine to me.
1:54 Why can't I figure out the lyrics? No matter the video, how many times I listen to the song, etc. Google has three different versions... "The questions I have" "The crushes are Heaven" or "The crashes are Heaven" Anyone, please?
