I have to say this. You two have topped anyone who’s ever attempted to show these buildings. You didn’t rush it. It was a long video which captured what it takes to climb to the top of Florence’s greatest achievements. It was so enjoyable. I’m super impressed by the quality and the respect you had for your audience to ensure they got the full experience! You can be very proud of yourselves!!!
Aww thank you so much for your sweet & thoughtful comment Steven, we can't tell you how much it means to us! ❤️ It truly made our day ❤️ We are thrilled that you enjoyed it so much - your reaction definitely makes us feel very proud! 🥰
I second this! I just came to the comments to say that you have done a great job showing us all there is to see and do regarding the Duomo. I went many years ago and I see now how much I missed! I have to go back! I missed your videos so much! Keep up the good work guys! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Well done, Micha and Matteo! Your cinematography was outstanding (including the few-second pause on key scenes so your viewers could take in the beautiful Florentine visuals). The historical background was also greatly appreciated.
I like the touch a sculpture portion. This helps visitors who are blind or who visual challenges. And young artists can get a different view by measuring by hand.
In Florence now, and I was on the fence about both climbs. With pass in hand, and because of this video, I'm going to give it a shot! Great job you guys, you definitely inspired me!
Am from Trinidad and Tobago love watching your videos and I always dreamt of seeing the Duomo in person . This will do hopefully next year I will finally get to Italy.
Amazing footage!! I have to fast forward the part where you guys are climbing as I was getting claustrophobic. Great job! I love Florence, probably my favorite city in Italy.
As usual, a fantastic video.... best one I've seen..... great vision, very informative.....All your work is so professional and you have such amazing faces to look at. God has blessed you with each other and you make such a beautiful husband and wife. I will be there last week of August. I'll only have time to climb the dome and visit the museum and go underneath. I only have 1 and 1/2 days allocated for Florence.... as I will be doing 2 day trips out of my 4 night stay..... one is to Pisa with maybe a late afternoon and evening in Viareggio, and a day in Lucca, as I want to go to the Sanctuary of St. Gemma Galgani to seek her intercession. Her relics are there (the idea of relics is not so much to collect Saints remains, but in doing so, to seek their intercession as you are in a sense, near to them. Every Catholic Church alter where the One Holy Sacrifice of Christ on Mount Calvary is made Present (which is what the Mass is) has at least one relic of a Saint imbedded into it..... .....which brings me too my question that i have for you guys; inside the Florence Duomo, do you know where Jesus in the Tabernacle is? Behind the main altar or in a side chapel perhaps 💒 and also do you know if it is true that there is a side door to bypass the line if you wish to attend Mass? ( Ps. I don't know if you ever do this but next time you went to a Catholic Church, pop over and visit Jesus in the tabernacle because he's waiting there for you and he's so much longing for you to spend a little bit of time with him there, just to be with Him for a while and tell him that you love Him and share some of your love with Him, and to thank Him for the gift of the Sacrament of your marriage and the beautiful people that you are 😃 ) God bless you both.... and much love 🙏
Thank you for the amazing tour! We’ll be visiting in two weeks, and I’m so excited for this experience! Your arrival at the top of Il Duomo brought me to tears!
The quality of the production of this video is just awesoem! I’m in Rome right now, staying in pigneto and I passed through Florence today twice on my way to Venice on the train and back. Florence is my next holiday on the list ❤ keep it up guys! ❤️
I didn't know what Duomo pass to get, but after seeing your video, I bought passes to climb to the top of the dome. great video. Can't wait to see 'The Last Judgement' up close! thanks!
Nicely done! First discovered you while researching for our upcoming Sicily trip this spring. We're lucky to have a second Italy trip this fall, and my husband picked Florence as the place to spend his 60th birthday. Can't wait to get back.
Aww thank you so much Lisa! And thank you for buying us a few pizzas, we can't tell you how much we appreciate your generosity! 🥰 That is so exciting about your upcoming trips - Florence for a 60th birthday celebration sounds perfect, we hope you have the best time! 😍🇮🇹
We started following you to prepare for our trip to Florence. All your info on food, Duomos, passes to sites, train usage was spot on. We home based in Florence and took train day trips to Pisa, Luca and Siena. Italy was amazing! Thank you for all the information.
Loved this video! Thank you for taking the time to put this together! We are going in 2 months with the same ticket you had and I cannot wait to see it first hand!!
EXCELLENT job, well done. I could NEVER climb all those stairs and in that narrow space NO WAY. So much information hope your necks are back in shape……….🤗🇨🇦
Thank you for this comprehensive video. Particularly because I know that I am not able to climb the dome or the bell tower, it was wonderful to kind of get the experience through watching your video. Excellent.
Excellent job. Showing every detail, and that narration of history is particularly helpful because we should know what we're seeing. Thank you for the documentary. Subscribed!
Wow so grateful to you both for sharing your amazing experiences with us ❤️ I felt a little nervous for you found myself holding my breath a little worried you'd fall, was happy yo see you make it to the top then the bottom lol beautiful thank you 😊 ❤️
Aww thank you so much Cheryl, we're so happy you enjoyed! 🥰 Hahah yes, I was also worried we would fall, especially when our legs started to feel like jelly! 🤣
Love your videos gu6s well done. I'm coming this month for about 6 weeks. If your in Florence in may let me buy you a beer😉 cheers keep up the good work
A small thing: at the moment the Battistero's ceiling is being restored, so it can't actually be seen that well. But starting on the 24th of February you will be able to book a visit allowing you to get on the scaffholding and see the mosaics from up close
Absolutely loved the video! My fiancé and I are heading to Florence in July and we already purchased our Giotto Passes. Out of curiosity, about how long did you wait in line to see each monument? Was there any lines significantly shorter than the others? We're trying to do as much as we can in two days. Thanks ! 😊
Great video guys (once again!)! One small question regarding your Rode mic; do you also bought something like a cage in order to plug it on an iphone 13?
Hello Micha and Matteo, love your videos I will be there in May. I have brought my Brunelleschi pass ticket I see that you scan the tickets on your phone. What app did you use? Thank you
I want to see the fresco but I don't have time to do the climb. Would it be a good idea to buy the Ghiberti Pass to see the dome from inside? And than see the Santa Reparata as well. Or can I also see the dome with the free entrance?
Can the three day timeline start before the day of your duomo time? example, if we got tickets for Thursday to walk up the duomo, can we see the other monuments on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
When you are in the dome do you climb up and down in different corridors or it is the same and you might have to go pass someone going in the opposide direction?
Can one go up to some steps and come back down, due to mobility issues?,if possible, which is very interesting location to go up stairs and come back down to ground? Pl guide me
i am going to purchase a Brunelleschie Pass starting at 2 pm, do you think i have enough time to see all the 5 sites considering the line in every sites? my train will leave the following day at 10am the following day so basically i have even less than half day in Florence. Thanks
Only the dome climb had a timed ticket, you can visit Santa Reparata anytime during your valid ticket. They may or may not be a line depending on the season/day/time of day etc. so it would be hard to give an exact waiting time! 😅
I'm thinkin'bout what my people was able to do in the past...and now we have celebrities like Meloni or Berlusconi...SO SAD!(where had all the good times rolled...)
