never fails to impress, one of few artists left that perform brilliantly live as they do on cd, no auto tune, no distractions etc. Love you Florence!!!!
She is brilliant but the Mercury is more about exposing young and promising artists and she is quite big all over the world so I guess it wasn’t a surprise that she didn’t win. They usually don’t give the award to those who are already established and have a very successful career
I have to say, I adore Florence and all their albums, but the new one is my least favourite! I was looking forward to it but it just doesn't reach that bar for me this time.
That’s what I mean when I say "underappreciated". Why? It is so intimate, so personal. It's like the greatest revelation. Each song is special, full of various experiences. First of all, it is sincerely, like the others her songs. This is the most important thing to me. So I think Florence keeps the bar
@@andrewboland1062 i love it! it kind of collects all the previous albums into one sound. it's not that huge sound of the first 3, but it still has those mythical fantasy moments I originally fell in love with.

I love her so much but, I've seen live and televised performances of this song where she did so much better. She definitely started getting it near the end. That said I don't know if she just didn't do a vocal warm up or maybe her voice is just tired and struggling on getting those quick transitions for this song since it has a lot of cutting in vocal styles in and out of different ways she holds her voice? Or maybe what happens to me happened to her? When your ears pop during singing a note and everything sounds a little off for a little bit? Happens a lot when I can feel my voice virating along my jaw.
Brilliant talent although her music is overplayed on radio, especially Radio 1. Radio 1 play too much black music because the BBC is Politically correct.
+SilentAssassin01234 Maybe listening to the wrong stations? But still she doesn't get massive play like the OP said. IT's still SO minimal in the US though. Ridiculously low. You would hear Dog Days or Sweet Nothing and that is it and they're usually played in an off chance at places like FYE.
@@iTeacupPanda The last time I heard Florence on the radio was actually not long ago, it was the day sky full of song was releases and they played it on Absolute Radio. It was like 3am. Never hear her on mainstream channels such as Gem 106
