I don't why, but this song is my absolute favorite song from Florence. It just speaks to me on a whole different level. I was so bummed out that she didn't play it when I saw her live recently. She's amazing! Love her forever, that voice is beyond this world!

as a bass player I Love playing it on bass,it took some practice there bass player has a unique way of playing especially on this song haha.....my only problem is when it comes to the lyrics and meaning of the song I cant tell if the songs about suicide or homicide? I mean the lyrics are all laying where the ships are left to rust, lay them down let the only sound be the over flow pockets filled with stones lay them down, so someones been drowned to death lol.

I'm sure you will! I saw them at the BTS Festival in London this July, and I will say this: flows who haven't seen F+TM live yet have not yet truly lived. Flo's presence on stage is honestly just so invigorating and, in addition to her angelic voice and the heavenly music of the band, is just beautiful.

My favorite bands are Metallica, U2, Foo Fighters, RHCP, Sabbath, AC/DC, I enjoy mostly hard rock and metal and I've seen Metallica 3 times, U2, Foos, Offspring. But this year I saw Florence in Turin and it was the best concert I've ever been too. Queen Florence is just godlike

2020 and yet this is still a masterpiece for those with taste. I never really understood the lyrics the way I did now, 8 years later, and maybe that's due to all the growing I had undergone. Listening to this when you're 15 is not the same as listening to it when you're almost 24. Florence, you've contributed to parts of that growing btw.

Florence's voice is beautiful as always, but the venue is a little too cramped for her. She needs a giant stage to dance on and a big crowd so they can feed off each other's energy. This is a small stage with maybe 300 people packed in. I saw her this past June in Chicago with 20,000 other fans in an open air amphitheater, THAT was an experience.
