In this video I'll show you how to play with the built in vector files in floriani and create some easy designs without having to draw stuff yourself. Enjoy!
Great video Brad! Thanks so much for not editing out any of the steps that needed revisions. I get myself into a corner and have no idea how to make the necessary changes. You have helped me so much by leaving in the "do-overs". Really appreciate all of your lessons.
Thank you for leaving the parts in that made you think how you would make it successful. I loved hearing your thought process. It was very instructional.
Instead of stitching the berries individually, I merged them and made them into one shape and used a fill stitch to digitize the shape. Then I selected the berries and the red flower and removed overlapped stitches. The veins I adjusted by just pulling the stray stitches down to where the next vein should begin using the stitch points. I don't know if that stitches out well, but it looks good on the screen. I selected the far left berry in artwork, selected the slice tool...open slice, and broke it where it met the top berry and the bottom berry. I then deleted the right section. I continued to do that for each berry till the bottom one which was left as a circle. I used the steil stitch on each section, adjusting the start and stop points and the order in which they would stitch. I have begun using motive 291 for eyes in many designs, and I used it for the highlights in the berries. It has a bit of a line that I would have liked to delete, but I don't think it will be a problem. I learned a lot from your video, but I wanted to share with you my suggestions. You made me think about HOW I could make this design work without using the artwork tool to trace the veins and the circles.
Yeah in teaching the class in person today I was kinda going back and showing the right way to do some of this stuff. I don't think I really made it clear enough in the video that the design you'll get out of mirroring what I do in the video is going to be not optimized at all and far, far too dense. But! It will sew out and look ok and I think a lot of people get kinda scared of the software when they see all the drawing and slicing and stuff so I tried to make it as simple as i could. is that useful? I dunno!
Hi Brad, I had a question / suggestion for the videos. I wanted to know if it was possible to add subtitles in Spanish for all of your videos. My first language is Spanish, and I've been watching your videos to learn how to work Floriani, but I don't fully understand them. If at all possible, to add translated subtitle, I would appreciate it a lot.
I'm a total newbie to any kind of digitizing or using embroidery software. I purchased Hatch Embroidery... Should I have considered a different program? I'm trying to use a picture for embroidering for someone.
