Day 2 had me stuck behind locked gates and ended with a flat tire. Not how I wanted to end the day but i managed to fix it and find a place to stay before dark.

Awesome......Ive lived here in Perry for 48 years and started riding a year ago on my refurbished 1993 Yamaha XT350 and have been a lot of places around here. Alot of beautiful places to ride. Most is leased to hunters. Back in the 80s and 90s there was 10 times the wilderness that a guy could ride through till the papper mill started getting greedy. Now there closed down. Awesome videos!

Thank you for sharing. I live in the pan handle, the FAT looks appealing, maybe even for my BMW GSA. You were having an adventure, good for you. I have the GoPro 11 with media mod on chin mount, I plugged a lapel microphone into the media mod & taped the microphone in my helmet, it worked well. Like you you mentioned, close visor & vents, that significantly cut down on the wind noise. I did a demo ride on H-D Panamaerica, nice bike.

In October my wife and I traveled from Tallahassee FL to Highlands NC in the Georgia Adventure Trail posted by Vman1313. Great ride, not difficult.

Thanks for watching. You can't put a price tag on adventure. Welp, you can. You just wouldnt go anywhere if you did. All in all, the equipment isn't that expensive when you compare everything to other adventure bikes. The Harley is equivelent to the BMW. Spending money on toys is just part of living

Thanks for watching. Yes, this bike can be a heavy beast at times but it really is quite capable off road. But I do have to admit, there are time when I wish I was on something lighter.

Getting back in some of those roads is sketchy. I feel you, my brain says no problem my body says you will pay. Looks like a blast overall. I love the Pan Am, but after Alaska I probably going to downsize.

The second day was actually very relaxing and I didn't run into any real bad sand. Towards the end of the day I had a little extra time to kill before it was time to get dinner so I filled up and started down some more dirt roads. That's when I noticed the tire going down and spent that last hour of play time plugging my tire. It's a nice route and I'm planning on running the eastern leg soon. I also want to get back and ride Eglin AFB. I hear theres a lot to see in there.

How do you like the Pan Am? I used to ride BMW GS Adventure and downsized to a Triumph Tiger. Then upsized to a Jeep Cherokee. How is the weight on that bike? Engine seems responsive and less vibration than I usually see on HDs. Age 55 here, 56 in July.

This isn't the Harley Davidson that you think of when your hear the name. This is 150 hp 94 ft lbs torque with a redline of 9500 rpm encased in a liquid cooled 1250cc block. It weighs just under 600 lbs withoout the gear and it's balanced quite well. There's no vibration what-so-ever. I love the bike. It's comfortable to ride long distance. It handles the street like a sport bike and it is completely capable off-road. Although, as with an heavy adv bike, the sand can crerate some difficulty.

Did you download the gpx file and put it on your Zumo?

Yes I did. It works on the Zumo just fine but the Garmin turns all the color coded files to a single color. It's meant to be used with Gaia but my old eyes can't read my phone bouncing around in the dirt so the Garmin is a better option for me. I have it on both so i can follow the route on the gps and look up the trail info usin Gaia on the phone
