In 2024 the state of Florida will be pumping over $400 million into the housing market in the form of a first time, homebuyer grants, additional down payment funds for people that otherwise can't afford to buy a home and more. What do you think this is going to do to Florida's, economy, and home prices?

To my own research In USA, individuals living in cars due to partial homelessness result from a complex interplay of factors. High housing costs relative to income, stagnant wages, and income inequality drive this issue. Job loss, weak social support, medical expenses, evictions, and lack of affordable housing also contribute, while systemic problems and inadequate policies further perpetuate the phenomenon.

Considering the present situation, diversifying by shifting investments from real estate to financial markets or gold is recommended, despite potential future home price drops. Given prevailing mortgage rates and economic uncertainty, this move is prudent, particularly due to stricter mortgage regulations. Seeking advice from a knowledgeable independent financial advisor is advisable for those seeking guidance.

Amid today's dynamic market, the key difficulty is pinpointing the right time to buy or sell when dealing with trending stocks - a seemingly simple task but challenging in reality. My portfolio has grown by more than 5 figures within just a year, and i have entrusted my advisor with the task of determining entry and exit points.

The latest iteration is the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme - govcorp essentially goes 'guarantor' on up to 15 percent of your deposit, meaning you can purchase with as little as 5 percent deposit and not have to pay Lender's Mortgage Insurance. Property taxes are evil! You can pay off your house, but you’ll always renting it from the government. The Pentagon has 40% of their budget disappear every year and what doesn't disappear ends up in thousand dollar toilets. And forget about tax funded health insurance. Nearly everything I'm watching has gone contingent or pending over the past 2 weeks - this doesn't allow time for any kind of price reductions. My budget is in the $600-$800k range. Already have a pretty nice house in SW FL but want something on a bit of acreage in the sticks. Doesn't matter the price, it just gets snapped up. I'm out for now. I think I'll take what I've saved for a new house and renovate my current place because it's almost paid off. I'll have a total palace in the end but it won't be on the amount of land I want. For the woman who lived in Tampa and her taxes went up from $700 a year to $2,000 a year? I guess she never filed for homestead or this was her second house. That's the only way they could go up so much. The second thing is who would want to buy her house on a sinkhole so it seems as though she is stuck which is awful! The hometown heroes and I don't usually agree with these things but it is for people who are part of our hometown so not investors coming from other cities. Or big business. I live in Venice for 6 yrs...everything at least doubled services charge union labor rates while paying marginally skilled people peanuts. And when you pay peanuts YOU GET MONKEYS..Too much business scamming and they think its fine. Seriously thinking of relocating

The Hometown Heroes program is a 0% deferred second mortgage with a cap of 5% for down payment/closing cost assistance. Once the house sells, the amount is due back to the state. That will be fun when those buyers forget about this and they get a lot less back from proceeds.

I'd like for HOA financials and lawsuits (to an extent) to be public. We had a no fault pull out from buying an apartment 6 months ago. Their HOA was being sued and it was going very bad for the HOA. They thought once the lawsuit was complete we would likely not be able to afford the apartment, even though it was 70k below our budget. We still lost our inspection money. It's scary stuff and we only found out about it when we were in the process of getting financing. The homeowners were trying to dump the property on someone else before the lawsuit finished. It's crazy. HOAs are not to be trusted.

Round and round we go. Stop putting prices up and giving money away. This is just nuts.

Westchester! 😍 That's where I lived when I first arrived in the US back in 1990. I love it to this day. It's a neighborhood in Miami, FL. It has the Aldi supermarket with the highest sales in the US.

My area isn't on the same level as FL but I can relate to a lot of the comments. People flood in and ruin it. This is why so much around me is ridiculous now. The cold and the fact that a lot of it is mountain plus government land keeps it from getting too overrun. I have seen some hilarious pieces of land for sale. Like no easements or a Home Depot shed as a tiny home.
