This is terrible but the aftermath will not just affect this county. After the storms and rain is over with and people are compensated for their flooded out vehicles, auto insurance rates will go up again all over Florida. Unfortunately all counties must pay for one county. The car insurance should only go up for the affected counties. But that’s not how it works. If someone has an accident or vehicle storm damage in a county that I do not live in, my insurance rate will go up to help pay for it. This is not fair especially right now with high product, food, and gas prices I just cancelled my homeowner insurance after it quadrupled. Car insurance is headed in the same direction.
