So many things need to work out so perfectly for Mother Nature to come up with such unbelievable and incredible things. Not to mention the “science & technology” of separating this uv light wave to see this moment happen. 🙌
WOW YOU TWO! I'D NEVER leave the area! If you ever decide to build a home someday, those shells, poured in expoxy, with a blacklite, for a bathroom wall...EVER SO COOL!
What an amazing adventure. Thank you for taking us along. I never would have imagined such beautiful artwork could be possible on fossilized shells. The excitement you and Natalie share is truly heart warming. Having a partner that shares is the same hobbies, you are blessed. Thank you for posting Kyle. Sending both of you warm Canadian hugs and much love 💕
Good afternoon Kyle it’s good to see you with a smile on your face. I hope you’re feeling better and being back in Florida warms the cockles of your heart a little bit you don’t have to bundle up so much because Michigan is so chilly. Yeah but I can’t wait to see these lovely shells that you’re picking up. You always have some beautiful adventures and some lovely rocks and I know you love you all olive shells😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Man that was an awesome video and sooooo many killer shells with amazing UV quality , I was never really into shells till you guys got me out looking for them , now they haunt my dreams LOL
That was amazing Kyle!! I wonder what would happen with other bands of light? Maybe try throwing some yellow lenses on. A pair of glasses might work and then add the ultraviolet.
Oh I’m sooooooo jealous Kyle. I think the cones are my fav. I don’t how I’d fit in my house if I lived near those fossil shells it would be packed to the roof lol! Sending love xxx
Those shells are freakin' amazing! It's nice to meet Natalie, she seems perfect for you. I'm glad that she could be there for you in your time of sorrow. Again, my very sincere condolences. I lost my mom to cancer too
Thank you for posting us a new adventure. I know that your world seems broken right now and nothing makes sense, but hopefully in time you will start remembering the good times and the fun stuff, and although this may make you miss your mumma more, it will also help you feel so overwhelmingly lucky and grateful that you were blessed with such a beautiful soul for a mum. Xx
What a fun adventure. Thank you for posting. As a child, many years ago, we had a lay over on Wake Island while moving to Japan. I found 3 incredible Tiger Cowrie on the beach. Still have them. I learned that a tiny hole in the shell is sometimes a kill hole caused by octopus. So glad Natalie is with you. She seems so sweet. Take care, Kyle. Love and hugs from Dixie County. ❤
Wow, looking at all those shells that you got and the patterns some look like a leopard spots and others look at the geometric zigzags and it’s like wow Kyle those are awesome. I never realize that they could have such patterns in color and I thought just looking at shells and normal light. We are beautiful, dang❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Kyle I'm from Michigan and myself and my son would like it if you would mind taking out an old rockhound and young rockhound out to fossil hunt. I e been following you for a year now and you rock it we are currently in Florida until late March early February
Great finds sir! Our condolences to you and the fam. We are down on the gulf coast now and did a bit of this last week and earlier this week. Can’t wait to get them under UV light to see how our finds light up! Only got one Cowrie but can appreciate your excitement on the hunt!
Absolutely wonderful you guys did an awesome job. I look forward to seeing your videos so much hearing your voice Kyle makes my day! keep on keeping on!!!!!! ❤
The natural and bio luminescence is fun, but so is finding it in glass and marbles. You already know the age of many of the bottles you find but it helps date the marbles to pre 30's . Old marbles also have a lip aka thumb nail from the process of rolling up the glass.
It took youtube 20 hours to show me you had a new video up lol. I hit the notification bell so that doesn't happen again. That Sundial around 4+ minutes in was so intricate! I had to pause it and check it out. The back spiral looks like cave drawings. Thanks for taking the time to upload and Natalie is great! EDITED to add.......... do any artists paint the shells under UV light? wow that's fun to see.
Those are just crazy cool shells and patterns! Those fighting conch are amazing! Who would have thought! And the cowries! Amazing! It's just so amazing that time under the ground made them petrify and time out in the sun made the cool patterns appear! It must be long term UV exposure over thousand of years, baked into the shells a distinct pattern that is repeated on each of the hat shell type. That is amazing! And just crazy beautiful too! Such an awesome adventure! Thanks Kyle for such an illuminating video! An again I'm so sorry for your loss and my condolences to you and the whole family. Even when we are expecting it, it's never easy to take the loss of a mom. I know, I lost mine 9 years ago. I still miss her every single day, but the acute pain of the loss, does subsided. 😢❤
The shells with dirt on then and pattern is not showing wash them and put them on the good side down bad side up so the sun can bring their colors out and leave them out there for a couple days.
Have you ever tried dipping your shells in muriatic acid? And what do you think would happen to them? Would they lose their UV light pattern or would the pattern be visible without the light? I guess I’m wondering just what would happen to a fossil shell dipped into acid.
I think that fossil that looks like a cross between a shell and a cowrie (12:20) is from the Bulla genus. They are common here in Panama (Central America), but very small.
Hi Kyle and Natalie Thank you for sharing this video, even if it was filmed before your sweet Mama passed. I'm sure it's still been a struggle, but again, thank you so much for sharing it. It's pretty freaking cool seeing the patterns with the black light, who would of thunk it! So amazing and beautimus! And the size of those Murex WOW !! I guess those and the Vase shells didn't show any pattern under the black light??? Still, the Murex were MONSTER size shells y'all! So super cool 😎 SO much love and hugs to you and your sister (Kristen?) Kyle, know I am holding the both of you close to my heart and take good care of yourselves through this difficult time and times ahead. 🤗🤗🤗 and an extra hug for Natalie.
How can you tell if a shell has fossilized? I’m planning on taking my UV light with me when I come to Florida. Are there any real public places to go look. Natalie you’ve got you a good fellow there!! We all think he’s a keeper😊. Natalie you’re so smart about the shells!!🐚
Are some of those snail shells, the poisonous snails that have like a harpoon that they shoot out and they’re supposed to be poisonous though I’ve heard
