Man those people dont know football kelly called a good game for lsu to have two muffed punt returns nd almost come back and tie it was crazy they got a decent team first game out they played well fsu had a game under their belt comin in nd possibly rolled off that momentum good game both sides
Let's recap...Florida State had the game won before they fumbled on LSU's 1 yard line. Then LSU drives the length of the field, scoring as time expires. LSU now has all of the momentum and an opponent that's dazed and waiting for the KO punch. Instead, you give them a chance to collect themselves (even if you make the PAT.) Don't forget that LSU was having line protection issues for the entire game and that Florida State had already blocked a FG earlier.
I’ve been watching College football since 1995 when I was 6. This was definitely top 20 wildest games I ever seen. FSU almost blew it! Bad call on the 3 yard line to put the game away for FSU. Great win!

Congrats to the Noles- they played hard and did what they had to. My Tigers had their chances even after getting outplayed for much of the game...glad that they never folded the tent, and fought to the last second. Best of luck to FSU the rest of the season!
Both teams are looking pretty decent at this point in the season. LSU has had some good wins and are ranked number seven in the college football playoff rankings and they have Florida state ranked at 23 after they destroyed Miami. Good luck the rest of the season! I think both teams can finish strong
College football year in year out has SO MANY incredible games that I want to put this as a top 20 finish of all-time but it almost seems like these legendary endings are becoming routine....
Yup. I like the rules a lot better generally. Never was a fan of spot foul pass interference calls, and only needing one foot in bounds means a lot more great offense! Plus there are no tie games any more.
Now THIS was a great game. Gotta give it up to LSU the fought those last 2 minutes and to be honest I really think they were the better team sheesh. Hats off to both teams.
Norvell took ownership of it. Besides that, the play calling was great for the rest of the game. Fsu left about 17 points on the field just gotta clean that up and they’ll be alright.
Of course know one talks about it. There is no way a veteran coach is supposed to make that kind of mistake. Especially the 2 nd game of the season. It’s almost as bad as Pete Carroll not giving the ball to beast mode and blowing the Super Bowl.
just in these highlights you can see that the extra game had FSU more in tune with each other. I doubt the game would be this close if both teams had a few games under the belt.
Dang close game, our offense is still explosive and our defense can play, we gotta work on our kick return decision making and hands...the adjustments have to be made if improvements aren't immediate, he doesn't have to be the fastest guy coach ,but he does Have to be able to catch ...kicker has to make the chip shots but he can't if guys are getting through, maybe think about putting more starters in to block on the pats and fgs, go lsu ,congrats fsu
I agree, but once he realized he was getting about 3 to 5 seconds to find a WR if he stayed in the pocket, he got better. I did want to see Nuss play but I was impressed with 2nd half Daniels. 1st half Daniels was making me sweat. Hopefully he carries that momentum into the next game. And I definitely hope the Special Teams show up instead of the spEshuL teeMS that played FSU.
@@xLSU0408x he definitely looks promising! Let's hope that this is a lesson for him and he doesn't look back after this. Great thing is this is early in the season and ground can be made up in the next coming months.
LSU's special teams must have taken inspiration from the Chargers because there's no other way I could possibly explain why they were so bad in this game. Now they really miss Cade York. Also why did FSU pitch the ball at the 1 yard line. It's not like this is madden where there's never a bad pitch. They still have much to work on if they want to be a real threat this season in the ACC. Next week, Florida State has a bye week, and LSU takes on Southern Utah at 10:30 pm Eastern time.
Proud of My Tigers...They lost but they fought hard down to the end...I'll take Brian Kelly over Coach Cartoon Character any day of the week...Ed Ogeron is proof that you can be lucky rather than good...Brian was winning 9, 10 games a year with eggheads...I can't wait to see how he does with real talent...Shake it off and move on to next week...Eleven more games to go...GEAUX TIGERS !

I normally don't cover ACC games as they do their own highlights and they are pretty dang good. This week was a very rare case with the backyard brawl that hasn't been played in over a decade and this absolute classic.
11:43 time stamp. 4th quarter. Tigers punt returner fumbles. So if he hadn't signaled "fair catch" the FSU recovery and carry into the end zone would have been a touchdown? Same rule in the NFL?
Not sure why people call this a "great game". It was one of those games where the winner was the team that fucked up less...and the Noles sure did have some idiotic moves. Norvell's decision to pitch instead of run out clock and take a chip shot for a 2 score lead shows that he needs to get his ass back to C-USA where that kind of shit flies.
if fsu had blown this game i believe coach norvell would have been fired today. calling a toss play like that was one of the dumbest decisions I've seen in a game in years.
@@dontaharper9067 even if you just QB sneak or run it up the middle. dont toss the ball around like that. They got so lucky. Especially with how bad they played D on that last drive
