Florida Lawmakers need to get involved. ESPN’s antitrust laws violations need to be addressed. ACC/ESPN collaborators have violated state of Florida current Sunshine laws.

So your point is that ACC, ESPN and Florida State all violated Florida State law? So Florida State who was surely represented by counsel was unaware they were in violation of Florida State law or knew that the GOR was violating Florida state law and advised Florida State to sign GOR anyway??? This is not complicated. ESPN does not have to wait until February, 28th, 2025, they could announce tomorrow that they are staying with the ACC until 2036, and FSU is stuck or is paying $572m to leave. The have had plenty of opportunities to do so, why haven’t they? Remember the ACC gave ESPN a unilateral extension, without the knowledge ( let alone consent) of the members).. My gut tells me ESPN is not extending and FSU knows this and they will be out by August, so they can go to the Big 10 for 2025.

@@atgdcommish608Two things. One, FSU will not pay $300m to exit, more like $200m. Two, the payout gap between what the P2 teams get and what the ACC teams get will grow to $30-40-50m a year and FSU cannot afford to pay that deficit out of their own pocket. FSU has to get P2 money to stay competitive. FSU wants a fair market value for their product which is understandable. Last year, FSU put $78m into the coffers of the ACC and only got a measly $36m back. That is a $42m deficit in just one year. That can’t continue.

One thing to clear up: Where in all of the FSU legal arguments do they state that "none of us were here when that was agreed upon"? That would be ridiculous as a legal argument and they are not making that argument. Now, there was some mention of an argument that whoever signed the agreement did not have the authority to commit the school to that type of agreement and that it required a BOT vote. However, that is a different argument than the one that you were depicting. Don't muddy the waters even more than they are.

ESPN has their cake and can eat it too, the ACC TV rights for dirt cheap until 2036 with the option to bail. As for a felony, that is a totally dubious allegation. ESPN has treated the ACC as a B tier conference since their contract was signed with the SEC, they demonstrated their respect for the ACC football champion this year by showing SEC teams with losses are considered better than an undefeated ACC champion.I hope the FSU powers that be never forget how ESPN and SEC have treated the school and go to the B1G.
