I have never used conditioning wax on my floss. I’m too afraid that it might stain my fabric! Instead, I cut a sponge to the shape of the bottom of a small bowl and I keep it moist with water. I can tap my fingers on the sponge and rub them down the floss to calm it down if it’s beginning to curl or get really dry. I am much more comfortable doing this rather than using any kind of conditioning substance on my floss.

Loved your video as always. I stitched Ink Circles Lace Flowers on 30 count Mariner’s Map. I used two strands just like on 28 and 32 count. No issues!

Hi Teresa! I’m a video behind due to a vacation. I’ve used thread wax. Sparingly. Typically, I use the wax when the thread looks or is uncooperative. The 30 count linen-stitch over 2 threads just like any other linen. ❤

Hello sweet friend, Oh my. I sat down and threaded my needle. Then I took that first stitch and then promptly forgot I was stitching. I started smiling and listening and watching you. Somehow, magically, your sweet spirit slipped through the monitor and SPLASHED me with grace and goodness. By golly, you help make this community a lovely place to land. I adore Be Ye Thankful! It's harder to find Thanksgiving pieces! I've never used a wax conditioner. It seems to me it would leave an oily residue? I could be wrong. I'm sure there are applications for silk floss. I have stitched 50 years... I'm all caught up!

Moms love hugs🤗❤️ Your retreat did sound bitter sweet with the LNS closing but you have such great friends to continue to meet with in future events. I’m a SYS2023 member and have only participated in the very first Zoom meeting but I hope to go to others and talk with you and others attending! Yes I am going to Stitch New England in Oct. So cool that you will be there. I don't stitch witchy things but I have a Halloween piece that I am working to get done this year, I will be packing that one. Good idea. I'm so glad you had a great time at your retreat😊. I think the Gentle Arts floss you got is a limited edition color that's sort of like a "one and done" and not part of their regular line. I've seen some Blackbird Design patterns that call for 30 count linen, so it is out there even though we mostly hear about 28, 32, 36, etc. Loved seeing all of your stitching today. Glad your March mania is working out for you and that all of your seeds are cooperating! Have a great week of stitching!

I enjoy your flosstube very much. You are such a fun person. Your retreat sounded like such fun. I like the goose in your name. I’m 70 and remember lots of geese in xstitch when I started. I remember having a white goose ceramic head that I had screwed into the side of a wooden piece of furniture. I think designed to have a towel hanging on. Kind of wish I still had but I don’t think I do. I likely still have geese xstitch pattern or two. Do you stitch geese? I don’t know if you like old movies. I think the movie is called Shenandoah, about a Quaker family in VA during Civil War times. The mother was a Quaker minister. They had a goose who tended to run after one of the young boys. It is a great story. Poignant and funny. Look it up on RU-vid because they sometimes show movies. Happy Stitching. ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌲🌲
