Those Russian patterns have gorgeous color choices that wouldn’t really work to change - kind of like I wouldn’t even consider changing the colors in a full coverage design. 🙅🏼♀️ Have a great week! The breath of autumn looks amazing. The third one felt spring like to me, aside the yellow leaves. But the sun and the grass gave me spring vibes in that one. Judging from your kits, you are all in for that rural autumn life. Now replace those kittens (in the first of the trio kit) with chickens and it would be perfect? ;) Happy New Year
Hi Laura! Thank you for the home visit! I also love the end pieces of cakes! Your blueberry lemon loaf looked very yummy! With regard to your Dimensions kits, I would never use three or four strands of floss on 18 count fabric. It wouldn’t matter to me if the pattern called for it. I understand why you’re frustrated trying to pull so many threads through those small holes. I would either use a larger count Aida (16 or 14) and supplement any colors that run out with my own DMC, or I would use less threads on the kit fabric. I hope you try one of those methods so you’re less frustrated. Also, have you considered attaching cloth to the sides of your kit fabric so you can get in the Q snap and reach the edges better? If you don’t have a sewing machine you could stitch it on by hand. Personally, I love your progress on the Scenic Farm. It’s so beautiful. Great finish of the biscornu and you made great progress on the Dimensions kits! I’m looking forward to your next home visit! 😊
Wow you got a whole lot of Dimensions stitching done! Maybe consider just stitching a portion of Winter Cabin instead of all of it? Contented Needleworker Kim does it all the time! I have the chickadees and lavender - But I only have a good readable, half page (long story, see my Flosstube 4 if interested) but I do want to try and stitch it. Yours is coming along so nicely! Thx for sharing 🥂
