Welcome to another video on my Knit 365 RU-vid channel - thanks for dropping by. In today’s video we work through some WIPs, go for a walk around my local area as well as draw the winners for the Pride raffle!
Woot, woot! Thank you Martyn, Mark, Les Garcons, Toft et al. Super surprised that I won 2 fab prizes in support of Terrence Higgins Trust. I live in Canada but was born in Cardiff. How lovely to see your walk round the bay, the Alligator & your new Toft FO! Thank you so much for doing the hard work to raise these funds for such an important cause. 😘🤗
W00t! Thank you. Looking forward to the yarn and stitch markers. Thank you so much for the great event and congrats to all the winners and participants.
Congratulations to all the winners and congratulations to you for raising such a wonderful amount of money for the Terrence Higgins charity. Well done.
Yay, I won. Congratulations to all the other winners as well, hope you are as excited. Martyn, such a great idea for a fundraiser and raising awareness for the Terrence Higgins trust, thank you. What a generous community in all senses.
So happy at the money going to Terrence Higgins Trust! Bravo! Loved seeing the bay and the alligator and hearing the Dahl connection! I am working on a fox hat by Ekaterina Filippova-Blanchard called Foxy & Wolfie. I am using 2 gorgeous tonals by Apple Yarns in Bellingham, WA. USA. Happy Knitting!
Congratulations on a very successful fundraiser. I’m in the US so supported makers that were supporting or donating to LGBTQ+ organizations here. I have made my goal/dream for third quarter crafting. I have an advent to get knit up,before December, I’m hoping to continue with a pair of socks per month. I’ve also been on the Emotional Support Chicken train and have yarn to make up two pride-progress chickens(the yarn was a charity box with products from queer makers). I also plan to swatch for two garments that I’d like to do in the autumn. My final project is Ambah O’Brien’s radvent cardigan. It’s about halfway finished.
Well done Martyn, Mark and everyone. A fantastic amount raised. 👏👏 Loved the walk but don’t think I could keep up with your pace. We don’t have a microwave either - I don’t even know how to turn one on🤭.
Hi Martyn, HUGE congratulations to you and Mark raising so much. I'm sure that the Terrence Higgins Trust will appreciate every penny. My yarn budget for June was well spent. But...... I may have purchased from Dan at Bona Yarns after hearing about his horror, plus I always wanted THAT pink! Have a fabulous July . xxJane 🐑🌼
LOVE the play mats!! So much better than regular blocking mats, the only ones I've seen are a lot smaller. I haven't picked up my geogradient in months. 🤷🏻♀️ Congratulations to all your winners!!
I really wanted that woven wrap. Sigh. Or some yarn. Sigh. However: Congratulations on a successful Fundraiser! 🎉 In the end, my donation is going to a good cause and that is what counts! And I love seeing that walk on the Barrage. I am going to check out Canadian Tire or Rona for those mats. Edit: Canadian Tire had those mats for about the same price in CAD! I now have a package. It’s only 4 ft square so I will have to use some of my random blocking mats for a Stephen West. Alternatively, I can go back and get another package….
Congrats to all the winners! Well done, Martyn, organizing a successful fundraiser for a worthy cause. Your list is a reminder for me to make some summer knitting plans.😊 ~Brenda
That's a fantastic amount of money raised Martyn!!! And I did say 'Martyn' out loud when you picked up your geo gradient again and dropped stitches 😂. I must write a list for the summer MAL, starting with the projects I still have here in Essex. Got plenty of TOFT projects to keep me going though 😊 I did spot the crocodile and wondered if it was Ronald Dahl, can't remember the book name though lol
Well done for all the efforts and the winners. Just making my summer mkal list - Finish sock, finish winter lights shawl, start and finish the sabre tooth tiger and work out how many more white crochet squares needed for blanket
Siri generated numbers between 1-100 on my tablet every time you asked Siri to picked a random number-lol! Congrats to the winners and the big winner-the charity! Well done, Martin! I have mats like you bought. They are so much cheaper and bigger than official blocking mats and work just the same. Your neighbourhood is beautiful-thanks for sharing the scenic walk. Good luck with your octopus knit along.
You've done an amazing job with the pride raffle Martyn! Congratulations, and congratulations to all the winners! A summer MAL list is a great idea!I think I'm going to make one myself.
Perfect blocking mats. In South Africa they have alphabet or numbers in. Tuesday night watching. Love your walking with the dog I also don't have a microwave. Love choppy podcasts Congratulations to al the 🏆
We also don't have a microwave! It is the source of some interesting comments when people find out. When the kids were at school and one of their friends found this out they asked "So how do you make popcorn then?" Octopus and squids are cephalopods.
