"I can count to five and seven...sometimes." really made me chuckle because we have all been there. The amount I´ve doubted myself while counting is unreal since starting cross stitch. Your progress looks really good. Glad that the videos seem to motivate you to stitch more like you planned to. I´m already looking forward to your next video...and Bountys are, of course, delicious! ;)
I'm a slow stitcher, so when I hear that you can finish a Mirabilia in a month, my hair falls out. As for Bountys, I love them. Especially the ones with almonds. I'm partial to sweets with coconut. Maybe because I live in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico).
I’m a very distracted stitcher so I stitch monotonously (which I sometimes do with a fancy lady) I can stitch them in 3/4 weeks 🩷 I’ve never had an almond bounty but that sounds delicious 🩷
Mmm bounty bars…. Definitely a yes from me. Here in NZ they argue that a box of favourites shouldn’t include cherry ripe or Turkish delight and I’m over here like but they’re my favourites…. First world problems hey! - take care, Nic x
Decorating trends come and go, but people have been wallpapering bathrooms since wallpaper was invented. If you look at photos or tour old homes you will commonly see wallpaper and depending on the trends it appears off and on throughout the past 150 years. If you aren’t a fan go for a painted wall-but it’s not unusual.
For the stands that you have do they sit on a table or are they lap stands? Also a Mira in a month!!! That's amazing. Do you digitize the pattern or stitch them from the paper?
The Velke Potoky mini stand sits on a table, a lap tray (a tray attached to a bean bag for sitting on the sofa) or can be used in lap. I find it easier to have it on a flat surface! 🩷 I use paper patterns for mirabilias 🩷
Ashlleigh, I enjoyed your video! Quick question, I have the same stand as you. Once you attach your hoop, does the part holding your hoop move when stitching? In the video, the yellow one you showed, the entire part holding your hoop looks to be so tight! Once I attach my hoop (QSnap & Nurge) and start stitching, the hoop itself doesn't move, the entire part that holds the hoop moves. I've tried different materials to slide up in that area to try and tighten, all with no success. Can you give me any suggestions? Thanks
Thank you! 🩷 this isn’t an issue I’ve had as with all 3 of my stands this part remains tight even when stitching, I’d possibly email Velke Potoky and see if they can help 🩷
