You have so many gorgeous stitching pieces!! One day I'd like to do Elizabeth Weston so it was great to see yours. It's so beautiful, and large. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful stitching. Take care.
Hi Vicky! I love your choice of fabric and threads for your Courage piece. I, too, have many family members who were lost to cancer. My Mom passed away in July 2018 from stage 4 liver cancer. I had thought about the emerald green. Then you mentioned about all cancers in purples. I'm like oooooh that's another thought. Beautiful progress on your beautiful projects! Happy Stitching!
Lovely to catch up with you Vicky! I loved seeing all your wips and your diamond painting finishes - gorgeous ❤ I’ve just added that Nature piece from Teresa Kogut to my wishlist xx
Always glad to watch your videos. Your progress is so beautiful, the Elizabeth Weston sampler is simply breathtaking, so is the Mirabilia spring on that lavender fabric. I just wish you could post videos more often, but I understand there are life issues that get in the way. Have a lovely rest of May and by the way that was a beautiful blouse you were wearing with the white lace pattern.
Hi. I just found your channel recently and just subscribed. I enjoyed seeing all your large cross stitch samplers. Also enjoyed seeing a bit of your diamond painting too. I enjoy doing that as well and since I just retired last year, I have a little more time for my crafts, but boy does the day still fly by. Looking forward to your Maynia wrap up. Enjoy a wonderful Mother's Day.
Hello Vicki, always fun to see your beautiful pieces, thank you for taking the time to pull it out for us. We all know how busy life can be, speaking for myself, no need to respond to my comments...I just want to thank you for sharing your love of cross stitch. Always inspiring. Your puppy is so sweet.
Hi Vicky, always lovely to see your videos and what you are stitching -- your stitching is so beautiful and your projects are so huge! I just always feel so encouraged to stitch after your videos! I really need to get to Salty Yarns, and maybe the Ocean City Retreat next year! I saw Shelia's floss tube about her visit to In Stitches with you -- I was so jealous! I am also going to the the Stitch/Start Along with Pam and like you, I was unsure of which color to choose, but I think I've settled on pink. I ordered the pattern from somewhere -- twice as it happens. The first time from a "fly by night" place and when it didn't arrive I checked the "small print," which said it didn't guarantee things were in stock when you ordered and I guess they just don't tell you! So then I reordered it from Salty Yarns on Monday, still waiting for a shipping notice -- but I have plenty of time still. I ordered some pink fabric from Lindy Stitches. Now you have me second guessing if I should go with lavender! It was a tough decision....But my mom and my cousin both had breast cancer -- thankfully both came through. Your project looks stunning!! Looking forward to a date for Panera!
That is one big piece of fabric you are stitching Elizabeth Weston on😂. I don't know how you wrangle it! I hope you've reserved a huge piece of real estate on you wall for when you're done with her 😂! The colors on her are so pretty! I've also got those plum street Rhode Island style samplers in my pattern stash. Seeing yours makes me want to start them sooner rather than later😊
Glad to see your video pop up. I always look forward to see what you have accomplished. All your projects are a amazing. Your diamond painting is spectacular too.
Love your lady with the gems. You are very talented with the way you frame your pieces. Your Courage piece in the different purples is going to look very cool. I look forward to seeing how the colours flow when you start it. 💜
Happy to see another one of your videos pop up!! So much gorgeous stitching you have gotten done. Love each piece! Wish I lived closer to you so I could join you for your day of stitching. Have a great month!
Thanks for another great video Vicky. Very sad family and friend stories of cancer. Looking forward to seeing your courage piece come together. Happy Mother's Day! Love your diamond painting!!💗
I’ll be at Stitch-Con on Weekend A and I’m a Melanoma survivor. I’m doing the chart in black for my fight, and I’m also starting a second chart about cancer.
Your projects are so beautiful! I love that you are doing a Praiseworthy SAL. I look forward to seeing you work on that. Nefertiti is gorgeous! Your time at the retreat looks fun. Isn't it great to connect with others. ❤
So happy to see the notification pop up that you posted!! I am so sorry about the migraines. I, too, get Barometric headaches like others have mentioned. Apparently its a real type of headache. I can tell you when a storm front is coming here in Georgia!!! Take care have a great next couple of weeks! Can't wait until your next video!!
I always love seeing your progress on Elizabeth Weston, I have this pattern but have been debating on doing it or not. But the colors pop so great on that fabric. Just stunning!
I love your videos. I like you going through your WIPS. Your work is beautiful. When you visit your mom in Florida I know you have been to Brick City Crossstitch. I stitch on Wednesday. Would love to meet you sometime. Connie
I love seeing all of your pieces. I've ordered the Simple Gifts chart from Keepsakes. I'm going to be doing most of the design in black Sulky, and then adding initials for my family members in the appropriate colors, including purple for my mom's initials as that is the color for cancer caregivers and she was my dad's caregiver. I'll have pink, lavender, purple and dark blue initials and accents.
I never get tired of your videos! Always something new.. Migraines… me too. Barometric pressure changes is a trigger,,plus working outside( I wear a mask which helps so much) I have a free app that tracks the pressure and gives me an alert so I be prepared etc)
Thank you! I am sorry you suffer from migraines also. It probably was the barometric pressure last week. We had lots of crazy weather. Happy stitching 🧵
Thanks for the great videos. I always look forward to seeing you. Your pieces are just lovely. I'm a transplant from Alexandria myself, and I always like hearing about my home state. I absolutely love your stitching room, and hopefully, I'll get mine done soon. Where did you get the cubbies that I see behind you? Have a great day 😀
I do Diamond Art Club paintings as well. They are so pretty. I love the 2 you have shown here and really appreciate telling us how you frame them! I order a frame for one of them by size & that was a little pricy so I am thrilled to hear other options. I take very long to complete my pieces though(about 8 months for one) because my first passion is Cross stitch. I want to do the Courage SAL. I will be checking out Pam & Steph’s video. But first I have to try to get that Nerfertiti Diamond Art!
Hey, there, BFF! It's good to see you again ... just wish it could be in person! I also wish I was still up there and retired, so we could sit and stitch all day :) Have you considered doing your stitchy gathering in the food court at the Mall? I have no idea how crowded it is there any more, but it's a big open area that might work for you. I am SO impressed with your diamond "Ladies"! They are absolutely beautiful! Have a good rest of May, and I look forward to your next video. Love you!
I love your videos. Love your range of patterns. I have never stitched on 32 count but waching your videos and how beautiful your patterns look going to start trying. My main question is how do you go from one motif to another without messing up count. I guess you learn to count fabric treads differently.
Thank you so much Cynthia 🙂. It takes getting used to counting spaces by two instead of one. Just take your time. It does get easier the more you stitch on 32 count. Happy stitching 🧵
Your floss videos are fantastic. I’m working on Consider the Lilies and wondering how much fabric you use for your His Eye Is On The Sparrow pattern. I also have that pattern. Also have Mirabilia patterns , have you seen The Tea In The Garden, I’m working on that one. Thank you so much for all you do. Great work.
Thank you so much Sharon. I am stitching my His Eye is On the Soarrow on 32 count vintage country mocha (stitching over two). The fabric size is 34” x 30”. I have seen the tea pattern. It is lovely. I believe CandaceK on Flosstube is stitching that one. Happy stitching 🧵
Oh my lord. A cluster migraine? Yuck these are the absolute worst! So glad you are feeling better. The ones that are weather related are miserable because you have so little control over the trigger. I mean if you are a chocolate or cheese trigger you could not eat that but how the blessed heck do you control the weather and atmospheric pressure changes!!! So snap I get the migraine bit as you can tell.
I'm so sorry to hear that you suffer with migraines. So do I. I call the exhaustion and brain fog afterward a migraine hangover. I've had them for up to a week at times. Thankfully, mine don't last that long anymore. You may find Dr Josh Turknett's My Migraine Miracle helpful. It helped me a lot! Hope those migraines stay away.
Enjoyed watching this today. I'm in Virginia in the Blue Ridge Mtns do you happen to know if a stitching group near Roanoke? I diamond paint as well... those two you shared are gorgeous! I especially love Cinderella.❤
Thank you 😊. I have not finished that Diamond painting yet. I am taking breaks here and there. It is a square Diamond painting. I find they are a little more fussy than the round diamonds so I take breaks and work on round diamonds in between.
I have bad migrains also.l am sorry you do as well. It makes one feel very undependable. I do love your stitching and WIP choices. I do have a question about hand lotions. Are there some you are aware of which won't stain the floss or project?
I am sorry that you suffer from migraines also. I don’t usually wear hand lotion while stitching. I do put lotion on my hands every night right before bed. For that I have been using Gold Bond. Happy stitching 🧵
Isn’t it aggravating when life gets in the way of stitching time? My husband bought me a license plate cover that says “I’d rather be cross stitching” lol. Don’t sweat it when life gets more time than you want, we all understand that!
