Many of us just like hearing from you and seeing your face and listening to you chat. If you worked on 3 projects, then show 3 projects!! It just doesn’t matter how much you have to show. 😊. I had the pleasure of being able to move home and care for my Mother the last 5 years of her life. Since I was a registered nurse (now retired) I was able to keep her in her home till see left for heaven. Our Mom's are precious, so spend as much time with her that you are able. Have a Happy Birthday as you reach that early retirement age, and keeping stitching/knitting. Will we get you quilting yet to add to creative bug? 😄

Your stitching is so gorgeous and I don’t know anyone else that I watch who has such a wonderful variety of projects. Makes me so happy. I hope your back feels better soon. I can sympathize with you as I have cartilage gone in my back and my right knee, but I am older than you by quite a few years so I guess it is expected. LOL. I am like you in that I like to use pale blues and greens for many of my projects, tan just is boring to me unless it has a pretty overdye. Your cowl looks so beautiful, you learned so much in your class. I think your second class project looks really advanced. Great job. I love the pretty lacey shawls that people make; I also think socks would be fun too. So I am sure you will have so much fun. What fun that your mom will be close. I lost my 97 year old mom on Christmas Eve 2023, and I miss her so much. We spent a lot of time together. Enjoy your mom and the time you have together. Happy stitching……………………..

Loved seeing all of the things that you have been working on and glad that you are back to show them. I too decided that I need to branch out and do something besides cross stitch, so I have picked back up crochet. I enrolled in a monthly afghan pattern from Annie's that has Christmas stripes. You get the pattern and material for 3 different colored sections with directions. I have crocheted many years but some of these row designs are things I don't know how to do but you can go to their site and they give your step by step video instructions from each one of the. I have learned some new crochet stitches (didn't know there were so many). I am loving it. Hope that you will come back monthly again. That way the video won't be too long and your back won't start hurting. Hope you feel batter.

For an over dyed look use one strand of each color of your DMC choices in the same needle. I learned that from stitching Teresa Wentzler’s. Lol. Looks just like variegated floss. Love all your projects. And your dogs!! I have those Lavender and Lace angels but haven’t started one yet. Someday!!! Will follow your progress for now. Roxanne

I enjoyed this so much I watched it twice! The first time it was broken up into segments. I love your use of blue or green fabric in place of neutrals. Enjoyed your knitting segment as well. You’re doing fabulous and I really love the cowl. I think you need to put some pillows behind your back to alleviate pain. So nice to see you back! 😊

Like a number of others, I view your videos in bits and pieces. They are such treasures that I like to savor them. Also, you show such interesting charts that I often have to stop to go order the latest cool thing in charts or fabrics. LOL I admire stitchers who can juggle so many different pieces at once. I don't know how you manage to keep track. If I have more than 3 or 4, I tend to lose track of where I am on anything I'm working on. Keep showing us the latest because it's like catching up with a girlfriend. I think we don't live all that far apart. I checked the time for me to get to the needlework shop in Williamsburg and it would take me about 2 hours to get down there assuming there's no traffic jams in Northern Virginia or Richmond. I'll have to drive down there sometime; it looks like an interesting shop. I haven't made it over to Salty Yarns yet; I'd love to see their new shop.

For navy blue and black fabrics in a small count I use a PUCK light that I bought at Home Depot ( package of 2) that uses batteries. It has 2 light settings as well. I place it under my stitching and it lights up the holes beautifully. The light is the size of a hockey puck and very light. It also has a magnet on the back so it stays put on a metal stand.

I always love seeing what you've been working on. Don't pressure yourself to have a certain amount of content to show; your work is inspiring and I enjoy seeing you whether you've worked on three projects or thirty. I taught myself to knit while I was in college and was pretty successful with a sampler afghan. I've tried a couple of times to knit a sweater but I tended to get bored and not pick them back up. I've been having an urge to try again and think I may try knitting some socks thinking they're smaller (I'm not going to ask for bets about whether I end up with half pairs or not lol). I love your cowl and your wrap. Unfortunately I live in an area that is a LNS/LYS desert or I'd follow your example and take a class. 🪡👠

I enjoy watching Kay (Crazy Sock Lady). I haven't touched my sock since November because hubby had a bad cough and then I got it and I needed concentration for counting, etc....LOL! So it has sat there. I talked to Brenda at Salty Yarns and she said I can bring it in and she will get me back on track. I would really like to knit socks for all of my family. I have some doctor appointments coming up so I think I'll take her up on that offer after those appointments are done. I hope your back is starting to feel better! Happy Early Birthday! Hope you are feeling better about your channel. There are several pieces you are doing I am either working on or want to start. No1 for me at Market this year is Serenity also. Hoping to start it sooner than later. 62 New Starts wow, you are one motivated lady. I turned 65 in Feb. But I said no way I would just be to overwhelmed I too love the BIG pieces but Im a very slow stitcher I mean like snail pace...lol so I will live vicariously through you and maybe join you on 1 or 2. Your knitting is looking great and whT a good variety. Ive been thinking of starting a shawl and maybe a pair of socks. We will see
Hi Vicky I am so glad to see you come back. I too have been out of my stitchy bug for a few months but I am back. I have been so far behind on my floss tube and I finally got caught up on your channel and I am still trying to get caught up on my other floss-tubers. I have kitted up 24 starters and worked on each one. I started the end of February on my 1st start and Mar I kitted up 23 new starts and April 1st was my 24 new start. I still have more that I have half kitted up just need the material so I may end up about another 10 to 12 more new starts. When I do finish on my starts I will send you a picture of what I have accomplished. I love all your cross stitching and have some on my wishlist. I live only 20 minutes away from Shepards bush and I will be going back to see the new patterns and buy some more material. I hope your back gets better. I’ve been wondering if you would be doing a video pretty soon…and here you are. I don’t comment often, but I do enjoy so much seeing all the projects you’ve been working on - always such a great selection of patterns, many of them I have as well. Took me a while to get thru the video because I kept pausing it to go look for fabric that you used. I just love the Humility Sampler by Brenda Keyes and the lugana you used (Terrific by Fortnight Fabric) was sooooo perfect, but of course I’m not finding it….anyway you have excellent taste in picking colors so thank you for some great ideas! Also watched your knitting segment, made me want to knit a pair of socks again!! 🧶🧦🧶 love your channel 💕

I have been a knitter and crotchet for many many years.....but one of my knitting buddies did a lot of cross stitch so I really was blown away how beautiful it looks....I'm been trying to learn cross stitch and managed 3 cross stitch dogs that were kits.anyway I came across your channel a was completely blown away by all your pieces.....WOW! I'm so glad to see you again on Floss Tube. I am working on Sweet Humility and almost done just like the bottom ring of flowers and trees. I purchased Serenity and gathering supplies. Beautiful stitching and knitting. I love long videos. There are a few charts that I recently purchased and plan on starting them hopefully this year. So glad you’re back. I really enjoy your WIP parade. You use fabrics and threads I would never be brave enough to try (I'm very set in my ways as far as cross stitch is concerned. Don't worry about what negative people say…they are just jealous that you can afford and have the time to do what you please. I am also a self taught knitter but had taken some knitting classes so I think I am very good at it.
Vicky, I could watch you in segments, I could (and DID) watch your video in its entirety, I could watch you weekly, bi-weekly, monthly! I have missed you SO MUCH!!!! I am so very happy you are "back"!!! Of course it's going to be a long video, you were gone a LONG time! You had a LOT to share. Last year I turned 60 and did not do "60 for 60" or anything like that. Last year, I decided to do 24 new starts in 2024 (before Pam even started discussing it on Just Keep Stitching). Those plans went sideways 2 weeks into January, LOLOLOL! I had all 24 starts planned out, and how my months were going to go. Then the year started, and I worked over New Year's, so that went by the wayside... then I started a temperature chart.... then there was a SAL... then another SAL... then I spent all of March completing small gifts for attendees of the 2 retreats I'm doing in April... so you were the perfect companion as I caught up on my temperature chart and am now going to start yet another SAL! It is so good to see you again, and hope to see you again soon!
So glad you’re back. I’m doing Pandemic too and started in the same place. Only a little farther along. I think I have the first page finished. I’m right there with you over the loss of Laurie’s granddaughter, Libby. Somehow I didn’t realize you were an April birthday too and only a year behind you. Not sure I want to start 63 next year when I turn 63 though. I guess it depends on how many I can finish this year. The oldest WIP I have is over 30 years! I got lost in several moves and I actually forgot about it. Not my style anymore, but I just really want to finish it. Happy stitching to you!! And happy birthday a couple weeks early. 😊

Comfort Lighthouse is a fun stitch; if you read the insert, it’s designed based off of New Point Comfort Lighthouse in Mathews County, which is a beautiful area if you haven’t been. P.
