So glad to see you both again.i think you painted your house a cottage teal color. So happy Heather ,Evie and hubby are doing ok and feeling better🙏🏻🙏🏻Have a great 2 weeks🥰🥰
I really missed you. Don’t feel that you need to apologize for less cross stitch! Love everything you do and it is fun to see all the different things you are doing. You are sparking my crochet bug. Thanks for the video.
Light Gray with White trim is what I think you painted it...I love all the quilts and projects....they are great...glad your back....tks for sharing today
Such a fun video! I loved your tomato and strawberry croquet! Your little dolls are adorable and your beach flag quilt is beautiful! So enjoyable, thank you for sharing.
Allie the alien is so cute. Your crochet projects are so cute. I think you painted your house a tan color. Can't wait to hear what color you chose. I crocheted a blanket for my daughter and haven't crocheted since. I love the pink blanket you're making. it's so pretty.
Yeah! Thanks for making my cross country drive enjoyable. Love the quilts you are both working on. Now I need to go but some charm packs. I also had to go but the Tupperware. I never grew up with it because my mom hated it, but I think they are so cute and need some storage containers with good kids. Lol I love the autumn alphabet you redid. Love the colors. Heather your Halloween cat is adorable. So hasn’t you’re back
So nice to catch up with you both .. sorry to hear you had been sick. I do enjoy seeing all of your crafts so no pressure to do stitching if its not calling to you. Love the crochet projects (the cat and bunnies are stinking cute). My guess is you painted your house white.
Loving all of your quilting! Now I want to do my swoon 16 in granny chic! I also love the Mackinac island quilt! ❤️. Heather, glad you’re feeling better. Your new designs are wonderful!
@@CraftyCottageStitches I’m sooo close to ordering that fabric. I just wanted to check the pattern to see how much I need. I wonder if a fat eighth bundle would be enough.
Glad you’re back, sorry about Covid ruining your vacay. I LOVE that you guys talk about and show your Other crazy projects! I also crochet, knit, wanna be quilting, sewing along with returning to cross stitch. I think a lot of us and multi crafters.. I’m guessing you new house color to be white. Love your mother/daughter friendship and interests in shared crafts! Wish my girl was into my hobbies. Cherish your gift.
Glad to see you again. I love to see your quilting projects. It’s so fun. I’ve been crocheting afghans this summer as I’m trying to use up yarn that I’ve had. Love your tomatoes and strawberries and the crocheted squares are so pretty. I think you painted your house blue.
So happy to see a new floss tube. I don't mind if your not cross stitching. I'm really happy to be included in your crafting journey. So sorry you and the little one were not well on your trip. Well house color? Hmm 🤔, I'm going to say blue. I have struggled with Progressives myself and had to go with a more traditional bi-focal.
I have a hope that your painted house is yellow! I painted a brick home once in a very pale yellow with black accents and roof, it was gorgeous! Still is actually even though I don’t live there anymore! Happy to see you both and I’m so sorry Heather you didn’t get to do anything fun on your trip! I hate you guys had the awful “C” that stinks! Hopefully everything will be better and settle down for you this fall! Blessings beyond!
Hi Ladies. Missed you both. Sorry Heather that your vacation didn’t go as planned 🤒. This video was so much fun. It’s ok that you both didn’t cross stitch too much but you did so many amazing other projects. Love all your crochet projects, quilts, strawberries, tomatoes….. so Janette I will guess you painted your house white with black trim🏠
Oh my gosh! That crocheted cat was adorable!!! I have cats & would give anything if I could crochet but I'm all fumble fingers with it. I quilt & cross stitch & have done almost every other craft but just can't crochet. Oh well. I love your strawberries & pincushion too. Plus your quilts! So pretty! I'll have to check out FQS's charm pack quilt. Heather, sorry you all got sick on your trip but glad you've recovered!
I bet you could find a very similar little cat but sewn! Like a little pin cushion kitty 🐱. It took me (Heather) many years and tries and looking at different directions and videos for crochet to finally click. I bet you could do it!
Great video. All I can say is squirrel! I loved the crocheted tomato pincushion and strawberry. I will try my hand at that and the cat, and the bunny … and I went online to search for the Tupperware and checked out crocheted blanket and the 25 patch quilt. So I’ve just added a lot more projects . Thank you for always bringing new ideas and finds to us different from what everybody else is showing. Sometimes we need a change from the cross stitching.
So glad to see you once again. Your videos have been missed! So sorry your vacation was not what you were hoping for. Covid has a lot to answer for! *shaking my fist* Enjoy your new AC! We replaced our HVAC system last year. Best decision ever! This week it will be a life saver since it looks like we will be running it 24/7! Tomorrow is going to be 114°! Your crocheting is stinking adorable! The amigurumi bunnies!!! I've seen etsy shops selling those for $80-90! Very cute. I'm sure it will be wonderful to finally have your kitchen completed. I'm guessing you painted your house white with either black or red shutters. Whatever you chose, I'm sure it's amazing! Wish I had your color sense.
Awe, thank you Elizabeth! I agree and am shaking my fist too. AC has been a game changer. And 114 degrees?! Yuck! We had that last year as a freak things and it’s sucked!! Have a great week and stay cool.
I am sorry your family was sick with -----. It is not fun at all. So sad it happened on your vacation. I cannot believe the size of that spider. So nice your mom could water your garden and feed your cat. "Very Pink Knits" is a knitting channel with all kinds of tutorials. Thank you.
Hi Janet and Heather!! So glad you are back! Nancy and I got so bored without you we had to start our own channel! 🤣🤣🤣 . You both have such cute stuff!!! I love the amigurumi strawberries, tomatoes, cat and bunnies! So I need to watch the tutorials now because I have probably 7 or 8 books with amigurumi patterns and none of them say to turn it inside out or do a tighter stitch 🤔. I kept looking at my tomato thinking it would be better inside out, but no one said to do that so I didn’t. I will watch the videos and make more. Your quilts are fabulous and I am loving the Granny Chic swoon. I’m doing mine out of an old Lori Holt group called Calico Days. It’s going to be cute, too. Well, I better get back to stitching. Happy creating til next time!!! 🪡🧵🪡🌼🌸🌼🐝🐝💕💕💕
Hi Cathy! I am SO glad you guys are doing videos now. Watch Elyses videos. She has a basics one that helped so much. I am loving my swoon blocks too! I am actually excited to get it finished to have in my sewing room to use. I sure wish I had been back to quilting when calico days came out. I think her next few lines have some very similar fabrics though. Can’t wait to see your blocks as you do them! Have a great day and excited for your next video😁
I love that you show all kinds of crafts not just cross stitching. Of course that can be dangerous as you might be sending me down another rabbit hole! I don’t know how to crochet but your cute little pumpkin, tomato and cat make me want to learn. I am going to make that swoon 16 quilt out of French General fabrics one of these days. I’m a little intimidated about choosing which fabrics go where in the block, I’ll just have to jump in with both feet and go for it. I think maybe you painted your house a light gray or grey, not sure which way you would spell it. Keep cool, looking forward to your next video and May we please have a tour of your kitchen when it is completed?
Just go for it Becky!! Those fabrics are stunning and they all look beautiful together. You cannot go wrong😁 I am going to do a tour of the kitchen when its done. It is definitely a long way from there but eventually! Have a great week!
Welcome back!! Loved seeing your your creations and purchases 😍 both your crochet projects are inspiring, one day I’ll give it a go. My guess for the house colour is blue with white trim 🤷🏼♀️
Missed you both! So sorry y’all got sick Heather. 😢 The video was so funny and I don’t know if I need to add swoon, bum or strawberries to my to do list. 😂 Blue or creamy yellow is my guess for your house color.
Thanks for sharing. Sorry about your vacation, such a bummer! Hmmm house color gray or white, green, blue, yellow, purple, lavender or red. Lol! Checking out Lepetit Saint Crochet. Love your Crochet tomatoes and strawberries. So cute! Oh and the kitty! So sweet! Now I want to Crochet!
Charcoal would be a great color for a house. I was married in 1983 at a young age too - and sold Tupperware for several years. I love Tupperware. I haven’t seen any new things for a while. I will have to go online and check their website! :) I know exactly what plates you’re talking about!
Hi ladies, just found you by a popup of your video, very talented you both are. I too quilt and have taken back up the cross stitch world, sure has changed since I did it 20yr plus ago. Hope you will be back soon to share. Thank you for what you do for us.
Hi, Debbie! So glad you found our channel! We post videos every other Saturday or Sunday unless we have specified a break. What style of cross stitch have you (re) started with?
Hi ladies! Was excited to see you’re back! Loved the projects, and stories-sorry your daughter ended up sick, poor thing! Glad you all got away but you were missed. Let’s see…I’m thinking you painted your house an creamy white. It bright white. Not sure if you have shutters but would think they would be a beige color maybe or wooden stained shutters possibly? Love your patriotic quilt top! So cute! Crochet projects are beautiful! Happy stitching. See ya next time!
So glad you are finally back! I'm so sorry about your sickness during your vacation. Speaking of a huge yellow spider. We had one in our back patio. I about died. I saw it the day the pest control guy was here. He pointed it out to me, and then wanted to know what I wanted him to do with it. lol seriously! I love your amagurumi--I'm sure I've misspelled that, but you know what I mean. I have made a few, and should make one for my 5 year old granddaughter. I love lots of stuff that you showed. That cute fabric with the little pumpkin pie slices, etc is called I love PSL (pumpkin spice latte). I looked it up on fatquarter shop. So fun. Mug rugs would be so cute out of that fabric line. Have a wonderful couple of weeks. Diane Obleman (MollyStitcher)
Thank you Diane! I am having fun with the crochet critters. I was shocked how easy it was after avoiding it forever lol. I love that PSL fabric. It is such pretty colors. Softer than the normal bright oranges. Have a wonderful week!!
Hey y’all! 👋🏻. I think you painted your house a dark gray blue color. I figure everyone else is going to guess white 😂😂 I am so sorry about y’all getting COVID on your trip. The crocheted tomato and strawberry are PRECIOUS! #andHeatherofcoursetookittoawholenewlevel 😂
So glad you are back I love your youtube because you do so much more than cross stitch. If you decide to youtube every two weeks or once a month instead of every week--that's fine. Just so we don't totally loose you.
I love lists of to dos. What I like to do is make a master list list and then break it down to goals for each month. Sometimes I only do a month at a time or a couple months. Sometimes my list changes from the original plans. I think the house was painted grey My almost 4 year old is SOOO loud too!!I feel ya!!
Welcome back Ladies! Heather, so sorry you all came down with the big C while on vacation. No fun! I am guessing that Jeannette painted her house yellow. 🏡
Nice that your back!!! Love the your crochet 🧶 strawberries 🍓 and tomato 🍅. Do you think you can show how you made them? I can crochet but I can not read a pattern to save my life. Thank you for sharing all your goodness
Missed you guys!! Glad your back my guess for your house color is yellow. And the fabric that you dyed was beautiful!!! What color did you use for the orange??? And I'm so sorry about your sickness during your vacation 🥺. Heather your new patterns are so cute! Love those coffee mugs 😍😍😍
So glad to see you back! You are both so inspiring with all the crafting you do. I am getting ready for a craft show in November, so I'm stitching all the time. Your quilts are lovely! My guess is that you painted your house gray. I like when your little girl says hello to us! Take care and see you next time!
Welcome back, so good to see you both! I'm so sorry your family vacation was ruined with the sickness, not fun!! I love your crocheted tomatoe & strawberries! I'm going to say you painted your house white!
Welcome back! I’m all about a variety of crafts and completely understand wanting to mix things up! LOVE all of your crochet and quilty projects! I’m wondering if you painted your house a pale shade of yellow?
You are both so talented and have so many different interesting projects you're working on. You inspire me to try to learn how to crochet, strawberries and tomatoes are adorable and also the little dolls. I think your house color is red and grey. Thank you for sharing!!!
So glad you have returned and everyone is feeling better. My daughter in law has been painting all of her rooms. She is an up to date person. Soooo, I think maybe your house may be a gray that will go with your favorite colors. Have a great week!
So glad that you two are back! Don't worry about not having lots of cross stitch ~ seeing everything that you are both doing is so much fun. Love your alien bunnies and your crochet pumpkin is so very cute, Janet! Those granny squares are beautiful, Heather. Thank you both for being such a bright spot in my day, this was much needed today!
Absolutely love your tomato pincushion with strawberry and the pumpkin you made! Would love more information on where to find the patterns. All of the projects you showed today are wonderful and i love that you show other things you are working on besides cross stitch. 😊
Welcome back!! You have been missed. I'm so sorry your family was sick during vacation and thankful you are feeling better. I am also a continental knitter but can use both techniques for color work. It's easier to keep tension (for me) to do it that way. I have never had an interest in crochet but my daughter does and makes all the cute things. I will either have to find a knit pattern for the tomato or ask my daughter to make me one on her next college break. For the house guessing white with green trim. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us!
So glad you're back! You've been missed. I like your combination of cross stitch, quilting, crochet, knitting, and gardening. I also like that you don't follow the same schedule as other floss tubes. Enjoy the rest of summer. I started putting fall decor out today. (eek!)
Happy to see you both back. I’m primarily a quilter so I’m loving all of the quilty content. I finally finished my Swoon- need to get it to the quilter. Going to start making some bags & pouches for Christmas gifts. I was finally able to get more Chunky Thread from FQS so I’m busy making granny squares also. OMG - Absolutely love your crocheted creatures!! They are so darling - think I need to try to make some.
You definitely need to try them! Check out Lepetite saint crochet on RU-vid for even more inspiration. Warning: you will fall down an addictive rabbit hole 😄😄
Great video, glad to see what you back! Love all your crochet projects and of course the quilt projects as well. Heather, your Halloween alphabet is so cute! I think your house is painted in a nice, light gray.
So happy you both are back! I watched past episodes to get me through August til your return! Oh my goodness your crochet cat and bunnies are ADORABLE! I must try to find those patterns! I’m with you about knitting. I can knit and pearl, but if I make a mistake I’m done! Both of your quilt projects are so pretty! You don’t think you’ve done much, but you both have been so busy! I loved all the projects you shared! I’m guessing your favorite Green color! Please share kitchen pictures. I can’t wait to see and I’m sure you will be so happy to have that all done. About time for a yard and inside house tour!! Would love to see how you have come along!
Janet, the little owl you crocheted is so cute and then you added the witches hat and stop it!! Sooo adorable! Also love the bitty bunnies! Glad you guys got central air, Heather. We loved having you in Michigan and I thought you and Mac made the very best of the situation❤️❤️❤️
We are glad that we went and got to see at least the family we did get to see! And now we know how Evie handles that level of travel! Definitely enjoyed what we could but sure could have ended up much better 🤦🏻♀️🤣
Welcome back!! I missed you sew much. Glad your healthy. The animals are adorable. We find those hotpads w the flower all over. I have my grandma's. I'm guessing it's white and lt green. Love love all the stitching, quilting and crocheting. Sew glad to see you both. Enjoy your holiday!!
Nice to see you back on screen again! I particularly enjoyed your latest video as I too have neglected my cross stitch in favour of crochet recently and found Le Petit Saint Crochet a few weeks ago. Her videos are fantastic, aren't they? I've crocheted for about 60 years and I still learn something from her each time I watch. My granddaughter wanted an octopus for her birthday so I think that's what triggered my current crochet obsession - now she wants a family of geckos and my grandson wants a crocodile so I am going to be kept busy😂😂 Your bunnies and tomatoes are really lovely - I've been making pumpkins so I think that I'll have to add some tomatoes too 🍅😂
Great to see your both back. Sorry to hear Heather and family caught the “Thing” during holidays. Love your crochet you both did , so ,so cute! Glad to hear I am not the only one not getting to my cross stitch during the summer just too busy making peony crowns and Willow stuff! You need to show a fall garden tour but if it’s like my garden maybe not! Was hoping to see cute little Evie but maybe next time! She is growing so quickly and love her little stashing personality. Have a great fall and look forward to seeing your next video
Jeanette hang in there with your eye situation. I’m finally seeing better after my cataract surgery. I still have to wear a contact in my left eye and readers when I do. In the evening I don’t wear my contact and I can see a lot better to cross stitch and sew but I can’t see the TV as well. But I’m good with it as long as I can see to sew and drive! Also, be prepared for six weeks of no lifting as cataract surgery is micro surgery. Oh and none of your current readers will work! Wait until after the holidays because It’s a lot more involved than I expected. Thanks you two for sharing. I always enjoy videos.
Glad you are back and doing well. Like Al the different craft your working on. Love both of your Charm square quilts your working on. I think I’m going to have to do that one. I have so many 10 inch squares I can use. Maybe try the 2 1/2 square all so. ❤️ Everything you to do. Paint Color for your house Mint Take care
Welcome back and you have totally inspired me on the quilts! I had watched FQS on the charm pack challenge and ear-marked it as a future project but your red white and blue top has me racing for the sewing room! Fabulous. I am also doing my Swoon thanks to you guys. Btw, a small crochet hook is your number one friend for picking up lost knitting stitches!
Yay!! You will love making that charm pack quilt. So so fun. And don’t you just love doing the swoon blocks?! I have the small crochet hook but I don’t know what I am looking for yet. But I am determined!
@@CraftyCottageStitches I’m sure there’s a youtube video on picking up dropped stitches, but its a way to pull them back onto the needle. Good luck and I’m so glad you are learning the continental way as its much faster. I have about 50 years of unlearning to try to make the method work!
Well I have crocheted for close to 50 years so it just seems to feel more comfortable to me. I struggled the other way with losing my stitches all the time. I actually feel like I can do it now
Welcome back ladies!!! Glad your better Heather. I would say Aqua and White. I love to crochet never got the hang of knitting. Tried so many times. Happy Stitching 🧵 🪡 😊
Love your amigurumi tomatoes and stuffies. I’m going to check that out on pinterest. I am a knitter, crocheter and beginner quilter that recently got back into cross stitch and noticed I missed a stitch on the border of a Joyous Christmas and oh my gosh had to take out half the border but really enjoyed your podcast of all the things you make!!My guess on your house color is light blue. Thanks for sharing have a great week!!
