Great stitching. You can try a smaller needle, it may help. I would probably switch to a fabric I liked, since it will be a long term project. Happy Stitching.
I love how your stamp cross stitch kit looks. I would restart it on the 18 count. I think you will like it better! It would give your hand a break and still be good for your eyes :)
Those printed canvases can be difficult to stitch through for me too. I have noticed a big improvement from beating up my canvas. It helps soften it a little bit.
Hi Megan! Your projects are always so lovely to look at. That stamped kit is massive. I have never done a stamped kit before. In some ways I would think it would be great to do. I was stitching on my Strawberry Moon SAL project while watching your episode. Strawberry Saltbox by Pinkernpunkinquilting. Have a great two weeks.
Two things come to mind to solve your poking problem, one, change the needle to something smaller and maybe try the ball point needles, second, they do sell little thimble patches that just stick on your finger where you poke, they are much easier then fumbling with a thimble.
I had to pause the video to say Re start girl 😂 re start that 11ct thing on 18ct ! The pattern is soooo gorgeous ! stands and scrolls road can be so expensive and if youve got the pattern and the floss I personally would just get different fabric ! But staying that I LOVE my Lowry Stand 😆 I just did a plastic canvas project and my fingers were SO SORE !! So I feel that pain !
Gurlllll imma restart it LOL 😂 I tried to make it work and everyone says it gets soft with stitching but OMG it’s SO stiff. It hurts my baby hands apparently 🤣🤣💀. Plus I just bought a HUGE cut of 18ct white Aida. And I know I’ll have more than enough floss. I def want a lowery tho, I think I’m going to save up to splurge and get one with all the attachments I want.
@@TheSeattleStitcher yeah re start on 18ct will be better 👌🏻 I got the extra long ‘L’ bar after a year of having my Lowry and that was a game changer - I have a few stitchy spots and I’m trying to talk myself out of a desk corner clamp thing 🤭 lowery stand will change your life ! Stitching will go so much quicker ! Love the little video at the end and the ‘tiny tooth’ 😆 ruby hasn’t lost any yet and she’ll be 7 next month 😵💫
Sorry if you have already mentioned this (I’m a new subscriber), but if you or your husband are handy at all it is really easy and inexpensive to make your own scroll frame for your kits. My husband has made me a couple. If you’re in the HAED FB group, there is a file with instructions. As always, love your work!! ❤
Hi Megan! I just found you and have been binging your videos, so this is the first upload from you that I get to experience in real time! haha Happy to see you and your family doing well :) In my country you can only get cuts of aida of at least half a meter by whatever the width of the fabric is, so the cut that you showed happens to be my normal 😂I'm a little shorter than you and it IS hilarious, but it's that kind of thing I don't really think about until someone else points it out. Thanks for the giggles! ☺
Hi Megan :) Loved seeing all your progress; the amount of stitching you get done with two kiddos at home is so impressive 🤩 Bravo to you, mama! I was oohing and ahhing over the silks you were holding up, and I loved how you finished the witching hour piece. That frame is perfect! Have a great week and happy stitching 💜
Hi, Megan! I’m glad I finally had a chance to sit down and enjoy your video. You know you always make me laugh! You’ve made so much progress on all your projects, and they all look great..I think my favorite is the Luca S kit, with the little house, it’s just looking so realistic and charming. The way you spoke about your mom and dad, and your sweet children just touched my heart so much! 💗 And the picture of Malakai and Binks?!? Too precious! I died laughing when Amira showed off her tiny tooth! 😂 I’m so happy that you’re in such a great part of your journey. ♥️ Bless you, my friend. Have a great two weeks. Much love, Meline
Hi Meline! I so have been enjoying the Luca s kit. I want so many more now that I’ve dove down that rabbit hole. I’m so glad I bring a smile to your face because your comments always make my day! I hope you’re having a nice weekend and that you had a peaceful Memorial Day. Amira was so excited about her tooth LOL wish you coulda seen it she lost it in the CAR! 🤣 came home shouting Mom! Mom! 🤣💜.
I would try a smaller or sharper needle first and if it still hurts to work on your project restart. With stamped kits I also think it’s a good idea to ensure you actually have DMC by comparing because sometimes they lie.
I would restart the kit on Aida, 18 or 20 only because I wouldn't want to frame an 11ct and dedicate that much wall space ;) to one chart. There is just too much to stitch.
I don’t mind the size because I have a lot of wall space right now and would only hang it for the fall but it’s so uncomfortable to stitch on I might just have to swap it out! 😫💜
I’d say give it a little longer on the “blanket”, but if your still not feeling it then switch to something you enjoy more. I recently switched a project from 28ct Monaco to a 28ct evenweave and completed it in record time for me. I just *dreaded* stitching on it because it was so stiff, felt like the needle was cutting into my fingers, hurt to pull through etc. Also- you could try a slightly smaller needle to see if that helps any. I was using a size 28 needle so didnt feel I could go any smaller haha.
Thanks for the kind words. ❤️ I love your silk floss drops. I might need to switch some of mine to those. They slip off the drops that they’re on right now.
Oh man let me get you the link I totally forgot to put it in the description! PH PandaHall 30pcs Clear Acrylic... www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNPLB15V?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Aw the tooth fairy came❤❤❤ so sweet. I love your finished piece in the frame. That frame is perfect for it. Have you tried using a smaller needle and not the one that came with that stamped piece? That might help with that problem!
Megan! Greetings from Dallas! I am new to your channel having heard of you from Cam and Brijin, as well as Rebecca (Beck). I’m really loving your energy and videos! And what you had to say about your mom and dad was so heartwarming!! I’m looking forward to more flosstubes from you! Thank you so much!!
I am loving seeing all the kits. I recently bought a lowery stand and it is so worth it! I love having my poke and stick projects and my sewing method projects. You could also try the polka dot finger protectors or a simple bandaid on your finger :)
Love ur projects. Ur such a joy to watch .my fav girl..also I'm been on a stitchy strike and I put on ur video and just pulled a project out to stitch today. Thanks girly ...hug friend
Your pinker piece looks great. Maybe try a cushion thimble like a leather one for stamped chart. You also run into the stamp ink covering holes to stitch in. I don't know if that only happens on un license chart. Again the needlepoint chart never had that. Love you channel and your such a beautiful soul❤.
Hi Megan Love your WIPS -Great Progress on them. Amiri looks so cute with her missing tooth. Malachi is so cute and adorable - awwww That White Aida Fabric is huge - wow. At least it is by Zweigart. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🙏☀️🧵🪡🧵✂️❤️
I ordered my first LucaS (?) kit…the landscape after seeing your last video! Haven’t received it yet but look forward to giving it a whirl. Always enjoy your videos and look forward to each one. My daughter and her husband lived in Seattle for 6 years and I was able to visit a couple of times…so beautiful. I love the relationships you have with your parents. I asked my daughter once what she was glad she inherited from me…her reply was my sarcasm 🤣. Oh my!
I hope you love it as much as I have! I am simply obsessed with the LucaS kits. What great quality! Fabric and flosses. I am so so blessed to have the parents I do. They are awesome. I love visiting them, hope they never move LOL I would be so sad. My daughter called my mom today and said Grandma, can I spend the summer with you? 🤣 I think she is trying to take my best friend (my mom) from me! 💖😂
I just bought a Luca-s kit and LETISTITCH kit and they are both labeled made in Moldova - they are set up identical so think they are from the same company. So that might be another kit option for you.😊
Omg let me know what you think about it when you pull it out. I am not sure if it’s right for my stitchy space and it’s a bigger item to invest in. Idk yet but I’m leaning towards yes I need one. 🤪🤣
Awesome finish! Love the way u dyed that navy blue Aida for your new start! So cool ur daughter got a visit from the tooth 🧚♀️! My son just lost his 6th tooth last month, and u r SO right- it's expensive nowadays😂. When my son lost his first tooth, I came up w this great idea to fold his money into cool origami. 🤦♀️ I had no clue what I was doing so I spent a LATE night bouncing btwn watching utube tutorials, cursing, and picking up a bent $10 bill off the floor. Well, I finally got it done and he was thrilled! I was like "mom for the win!" figuring itd be a 1off for his 1st tooth...Yea, well, the next tooth he was so excited and said ooo I can't wait til tmoro I wonder what shape it'll be this time! 😭😂 fast forward 6 teeth and 6 late nights cursing at my phone later and I've run out of easy dollar origami so he'll be getting repeats 😂 I created this mess lolololol all for love, right?!?! Anyway, should be getting my fabric for 🍓 sal soon, can't wait to start! Happy stitching! 🐈⬛🪡❤️
I think I’ll try out a thimble or smaller needle and if I hate it restart. I barely got a start so I think it’ll be easy to just restart it while I’m not too far into the pattern otherwise I’ll hate myself LOL.
Megan, have you tried stitching on a dark fabric with your new Ben Q lamp? I thought in another presentation you had talked about working a project on a dark fabric and couldn't see the fabric "holes." Love your framed witch.
I have used it for the dark blue fabric I dyed up and it helped SO much. I feel like it helped me make my stitches lay so much nicer because I could see so well. I need to pull out my Thea Gouverneur kit on black Aida and give that a shot under the lamp. I am SO happy with the lamp!
Hi Megan. Another fun video to watch. I vote for starting your stamped project over (easy for me to say, right?) It seems like you love it, but it's not worth that pain. Would a smaller needle help? Thanks for the shoutouts - I've watched Globetrotting stitcher and those videos are high quality and great to watch. Going to check out the others. You look great for having so little sleep-you're handling it way better than I did!😊
I think I just might start it over I think it’ll be worth it! It’s so pretty and I’d love to have it up for the fall. I think 18ct. Thank you so much! Haha some nights are rough but I manage.

Oh man you have surrounded yourself with ALL the goodies! I love how whenever our husbands are gone all us crafters take over the WHOLE HOUSE 🤣💖. I am not kidding just this morning my friends and I were saying how sometimes we don’t mind a weekend away because when our partners are gone we can just be little dragons with all our hoard around us. I am so thrilled you’re loving the hat pattern and that it’s working for you. I simply love it! It’s just a good basic hat for the fall winter. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Sherry and happiest of stitching to you my friend.
