Hello my name is Megan Babauta. This is my flosstube channel where I feature cross stitch, knitting, sewing and book recommendations from my home library. Thank you for joining me and you all are very welcome here.
If I remember correctly, you daid something about learn to bead. I noticed this morning Catlin and Lillie is doing a tutorial on this subject on her Flosstube channel.
This is my theory about motherhood: are they fed? Are you fed? Are they in bed??? Congratulations you made it through the day!!! Don’t worry about anything else. Just take care of yourself. You are doing a great job!!! 🌲
🌹🌸💐🌺🌈🦋☀️your video was great. I love your projects. The piece with the blackbird in the upper left corner that you decided to ufo because of the fabric. I’ve been keeping an eye on it also. It’s so pretty. I love the sampler of roses and can’t wait to see you start this. I’ve been looking at rose samplers too. There’s one, I can’t remember the name but it has one rose and looks very vintage.
Thank you for the tutorial! You explained the process very well and reviewed it again at the end. So helpful. I also liked being able to see the process as well.
Loved your new video! And with two older kids (11 and 13) please know that you will get stitching time again and never feel like you have to apologize for not having time and for not getting sleep! You're doing great!
I love Anne Hughs, but I’m having a hard time finding the Cottage Garden Thread anywhere other than Australia (I’m in Oregon), and I don’t want to pay more for shipping than for the thread. 😕 🌳
So good to see you again. Love all the stitching, so pretty. Never apologize for how much stitching you have, there are no rules or guidelines. Your cardigan is really coming along, I have never done steaking, it freaks me out to think of cutting my knitting. Doing an afterthought heel was stressful enough. LOL 🌳
Thank you so much for spending some of your day with me! Lol the first time I cut up my knitting I was definitely worried it would all just fall apart 💀😂
Loved your video. Don’t ever apologize for not having very much stitching done. We all understand, kids and family always come first. When I started having kids and pretty much stopped stitching because I did not have time to sit and stitch. I love everything you are working on and your sweater you are knitting is gorgeous. I really want to learn how to stitch. Looking forward to your next FlossTube when ever that might be❤❤
The project you are working on that you said you weren't sure if u were liking the color ( I cant remember the name lol) I think it would look great in like a soft pink of some sort
Love your bravery 😂 I have never used variegated floss before. Love your pieces! Just love love love watching your videos! Your gorgeous and such a wonderful person 💕 so positive 🎉
Would you consider over-dyeing your BRIGHT blue floss?? I think that'd be a way to make it usable for you in case you don't de-stash it :) According to colour theory, orange should tone it down, but I reckon you'd have to be very careful with how much you use so that it doesn't just turn grey or brown haha maybe a darker blue? Also, get your rest girl 💕no need to worry about posting schedules or how much stitching you've done ☺
Beading needles are very good for mill hill in particular, but they can be very sharp comparatively so beware of that :p I use nymo beading thread for beading (unless the pattern specifies) and its basically a thin 'fishing line' style thread and I've seen them in clear and white. The other tool for beading I swear by is my tacky bob. It's basically a small cd case with sticky surfaces inside. You pop the beads in and they stick in place, so you can just scoop it up with your needle without having to chase them. Because it's a little case as well you can close it up and the beads are safe for next time.
🌳 So glad to see you. Beautiful projects. Don't apologize for what you get done. The fact that you can do anything with a newborn and a six yo, is fantastic. If you're working on linen, your eyes must be doing better. Fantastic! Love seeing the knitting along with the cross stitch.
I’m going to start with the knitting. I LOVE that sweater! I am hoping to settle on an all over colorwork sweater this summer to be knit over the winter. I’m hoping to find a green/blue/tan combo. Your purchases and plans look like fun and I hope you enjoy them when you get to them. It’s much harder to get into a routine when you have a second child than with the first so be gentle with yourself and yet persistent. 🌷🌹💐 take care of you.
Good morning, my beautiful friend! ☺️ First of all, I totally get what you’re saying about the floss color for the Liz Matthews chart…there’s just something not quite right about it…I don’t think it’s giving the vibe you were going for, if that makes sense? Okay, that my two cents on the matter! 😂 I hope I’m not being presumptuous in noticing that your different fabric choices in your new projects means that your vision is back to full strength again? That’s great! 🩷 I just love all your choices of projects, both old and new. Girl!!! I just purchased some magazines from Annie’s, too, some older ones for Halloween and Fall!! Love, love, love that you got to meet up with the ladies at Threadneedle Street, and when you talked about The Girlies…so happy you all have each other! 💙 And oh my gosh, Malakai is getting to be such a little man! So precious! I bet Amira looked adorable with her hot pink tips! 🎀 Thank you so much for such a fun visit, it was a great way to begin my weekend. Have fun! 🌲🌴🌳 Much love, Meline
Hello Meline!! My sweetest friend I hope you’re doing well and thank you so much. Yes my eyesight is seriously getting so much better. Thank goodness! I even pulled out the round robin project I’m behind on so I can get that in the mail asap. So happy about that. I seriously love Annie’s! That place has every magazine I go looking for lol. Love it! I hope you’re enjoying your summer and staying cool. Thank you for always being so kind. I appreciate your support always! 💝💝💝
@@TheSeattleStitcher I am enjoying my summer! Well, not the sauna-like humidity, even when I take my morning walks at 6:a.m. 🥵🤣! But all is good here…I’m so blessed! Thank you for all the love! 🥰
Bump in the Night…..is going to be spectacular……””bringing to work”was always a comfort zone for my mind…..love the kit experience and the video will be a gift as your cirques are so discerning ….Issaquah shopping was over the River and through the woods but how well worth it was for your state of mind……..your sweater is fabulous with Norwegian claspes….the color ways are upscale modern trendy Norwegian to this proud Norwegian-Swede….”momma time is fleeting as I am now Mema and I know it’s tough….but it does make you stronger and more formidable….just advice to take or just let slip away…..
🌳 🌲 🌴 I LOVE the trees in your area of the country…and the FERNS! You are definitely in a hard phase of life as a woman. I’m glad you’ve got community and are filling your own cup. Take care💕
Oh, I remember that season of a baby, a 4 yr old, little sleep, and trying to balance it all. It’s hard! You’re doing a great job! The sweater is beautiful! Thanks for the video. I’d listen to you chat and show your stitching even if it’s 10 stitches! 🌳🏞️
No apologies necessary! I just enjoy getting to "hang out" with you while I stitch. :) #momlife, hahaha! We stitch when we can! Best wishes for a great weekend!
