My son when he was 9 we bought him a hedgehog. He was the cutest little thing but the college kid that raised him had never touched him. We went to a dark, dorm room apartment to pick him up. I felt like we were rescuing him and would give him a good life. He was studying them and weighing them daily. He would run on his wheel all night and we kept him in a Rubbermaid container. I washed him every night and he enjoyed his bath, mostly. But he was a brat and bite our fingers. The only way he would release was to run cold water over his face. My son lost him in the house for 3 days and he was living in his shoe. He was a little stinker! I absolutely loved seeing Evie come in and make her cute little faces, tell about Zelda and sing Scooby Doo! I love all your stories about your finds and family. I enjoy the parts when you elaborate on your outings. Everything is stupid expensive. I had to look up hhomunculi😊. I’m imagining you stalking miniatures with binoculars. We had hooks by our front door with a shelf at our first home and a bench and hooks by our back door in our new home. The bench flipped up for storage. The hooks were always full with backpacks, coats, sports gear. It was cute and useful. I’m really glad you’re going to continue to do your floss tube whenever you desire. I’ll be here to watch. ❤

I just found your video. I now reside in Seattle, formly from Ferndale near the Canadian border I, also, do same crafts you two do except knitting. So, truly enjoyed the time spent with you.

Enjoyed catching up with you both! Marmalade is so cute - and yes, I agree we can be childlike, it's fun! Sue Bonnet brought back memories of my grandma - she made an appliquéd Sue Bonnet quilt for all her great grand-daughters. I haven't had kids (other than my fur kids), so I didn't have the opportunity to have one in my direct family to pass down. I recently noticed that Tiger Lilly Designs talked about having released a Sue Bonnet cross stitch in her shop. 😊

Great video as usual. It is nice you will be doing one every 2 weeks, so look forward to them but I know how busy life can be sometimes. OMG that Veronique Enginger sewing book was to die for. I paused your video and went to Etsy and purchased it immediately, love love loved it. Heather you come up with the greatest books and projects and your embroidery is so beautiful. I also found Jeri Landers Hopalong Hollow on RU-vid, who also does creations in the Potter style. You would enjoy her videos. I love that you ladies cover crafting projects besides cross stitching! Jeanette, you are such a baaaaad girl, you have sent me off on a shopping spree for Hedgehog fabric!!!!! I have 3 jumbo trash bags filled with fabric to donate because I said with cross stitch I won't be using it. Now I'm buying more. I refuse to get on you and Heather's embroidery book bandwagon. 🤣🤣

you inspired me to pull out my embroidery again and spend some money LOL, I went to Martingale books ( going out of business sale) and bought Kathy Schmitz's "Stitches from the harvest" Ebook for $7.00. Thank you for sharing and inspiring us!

I also struggle sometimes with motifs that cross pages, i always make a working copy and I trim back pages so there is no white space and also no greyed rows or columns if the designer has used them to indicate the previous page. Then I tape together and behold a complete motif…it does give you larger pages but it works for me! Love your updates!

Your finished Snow White is fabulous Heather! Seeing your gorgeous embroidery reminded me that I have a book called Zakka embroidery by Yumiko Higuchi. It’s worth checking out. I have the same sunflower chart that you showed and love the design with the blue kettle. Lots of confetti stitching though! I think your sampler will be stunning Janet! It looks great on white linen and the little framed bird is adoreable! ps. I started off collecting treadle sewing machine ornaments, pictures etc. then went on to the real thing! Love my two treadles.😂

Oh my gosh-she has Scooby Doo down perfectly! 😂 Brenda is my local stitchy friend and she talked me into starting the SNF SAL with you. I had the pattern and threads in my stash. I haven’t definitively settled on a fabric yet but have a couple to choose from. I have several of the kits based on the motifs in that sampler. This weekend I stitched on Sweet Finch. Hopefully I will find time to make a start on it this week. 🧵🪡✂️😊 Barbara

My goodness, what do you ladies not do creatively?? So inspiring. And adorableness overload!!!! Omgosh, my inner child is melting!! I helped raise my niece and we did crafts every weekend, and then as she got older, every month. I love her! I just took out and ironed a runner that she and I made, (she made her own). I bought three tea towels, one solid, the other two floral on the sides, and we stitched them together and made tassels at each end with matching yarn. So fun!! Thanks for the video!!😻👍🐦

So nice to see you both and all of the goodness you’re up to. Love what you’re both working on! I used to bobbinate floss, but I find it a little messy when I’m working with it. Can you please show what you do with your pieces of floss when you’re done working with the, color to put it back on the bobbin and keep it neat? I find that the used strands that are shorter fall off the bobbin and that’s when it looks messy to me. I hope I’m explaining my question well enough for it to make sense. Thanks and I’m happy that you’ll be back on a two week rotation!

In the Veronique book from Japan, how does the color charting wort?

Hello Ladies, I am searching high and low for a Cross Stitch pattern by Veronique Enginger - Heidi and her Goats. Heidi is sitting in a field of flowers in the Alps with her goats. I have been told it's in an out of date French magazine but I can't find it anywhere. Do you have any advice on how to find it or where I can search further to get a copy? Thanks so much!
