Wow! That was a marathon of stitching goodness. I’ve done just what you suggest and have found and stitched a beautiful, single rose pattern called ‘Pastel Rose’ by Sam Hawkins in the Cross Stitch & Country Crafts Nov/Dec 1990 magazine. Keep them coming! Cheers.

So funny that you mentioned Herrschners so many times as my husband Dave and I are going to their warehouse sale tomorrow and taking my neighbor Suzy. Senior Citizen Day is tomorrow so we get first pick of the sale items. We went to their warehouse for the first time in August and my husband bought his first latch hook rug kit. He is half finished with it and wants to pick up more. He has a list from their website. I am going to look for more baby blankets to cross stitch on and send them to Keepsake Quilting for their blanket drive for hurricane victims. Love your videos Yours are my favorites. Thank you.
Enjoyed watching this video! I saw a lot of magazines and books that I sadly got rid of. I donated them to a goodwill when I moved several years ago. I got back into cross stitching a year ago and now wish I had kept them.
I just had a flash back. I have magazines from the 70s. When you showed the Christmas front and turned to Peace & Plenty, I ran to the bookcase and yelled to you "I've got it". (I'm sure you heard m e😉) I love your videos but you are definitely an enabler. For some reason, I'm liking chickens too. I did stitch a duck pattern and thought of my Grandmas kitchen with white ducks with blue bows. 😂 I'm so glad I kept my magazines. Patterns I didn't think I would stitch back then....I absolutely love now. I'm sure others are digging in their stash too. 😊 Enjoy your time at the cabin. Happy stitching ❤

The 1991 calendar with the world map is one I own, and I partially stitched that map, back when it was newly published . So. Much . Backstitching. It’s in a box in my shed so hopefully some day I’ll get it done, because it’s a beauty. Your husband and Stewart are so silly !
Sarah, I really enjoyed watching this video. The patterns for October in the Keepsakes Calendars harken back to a time before history was being rewritten. They show tributes to Columbus Day. I know this because my birtgday is October Tenth!! I will be 71 this month and I can remember when Columbus Day was a Federal Holiday that we got off for school. I remember thinking that it was so cool that a Federal Holiday was celebrated on my birthday!! I look forward to more magazine reviews!! Take care, be safe, and as always, GOD BLESS!!

Loved your cabin stash. I love my old magazines. Stitched many patterns from them over the years. I have them all tabbed. I like the European cross stitch mags and their free gifts. I made a lovely Santa ornament which they provided vinyl Aida. It's cone shape and so cute. My daughter has it on her tree every year. Your Dad's stitch is beautiful! Ha, regarding the Keepsake Calendar, you reminded me that I have quilt calendars and I'm going crazy looking for the booklet of patterns that came with one. I have the fabric and the calendar but can't find the booklet pattern. Ugh!
You’ll find it! I find it difficult to keep things in one place as I often have good intentions to kit something and then get distracted. I remember that Santa! Now I have to go look for mine…that would be fun to have done ❤
Would you believe it. I went through a storage tub of all magazines today. I will pass on the ones that didn't have any tags. I can't keep them all. Love the Satsuma Street Halloween ornaments.
