Lovely to catch up with you Kirsty. You have been busy and I love your finishes and your WIPs. That quilt is going to be amazing! Love the jumper you’re knitting and your ugly crocheted blanket isn’t ugly at all! Love it! Happy crafting.
Your sweater looks great! Acrylic is such easy care, it really has a place for an every day throw on and no worries. I hope you have tons of wall space for your “tapestries “, they will be stunning as you get them all finished. Enjoy all the stitches!
Thanks for watching 😊 we do indeed have wall space at the moment, what happens we we eventually move I don’t know 🤷♀️ maybe we could use them as insulation in the roof 😂 I am getting on well with the sweater and agree completely acrylic is so easy to care for and light weight when we travel 👍
At least you’ll be super warm this winter - with all those bed sheet cross stitches, the knitted sweater and ugly blanket!! Not to mention the HUGE quilt that was hanging behind you!!
Thanks for watching 😊 I do enjoy the crochet blanket when I just want something mindless to do, it’s also quite fun to revisit old yarns and remember what I used then for.
I just discovered you today, and what a wonderful discovery! Your Reflet de Soie sampler is beautiful! You certainly have some amazing (and huge) WIPS. I stitched Dutch Beauty quite a few years ago. I've also stitched Maria Januaria. Maria is one of my favorites with all the wonderful motifs and the different borders. I hope you'll enjoy stitching her as much as I did.
Thank you for watching 😊 I certainly seem to be a BAP girl 😂 I really enjoyed the Reflet sampler once I discovered a pattern to stitching the border. Is your Maria on instagram I would love to see it ? I definitely prefer random motifs to alphabets in my projects.
Thanks for watching and mentioning the haircut, I had it done that morning 😂 it will be interesting to see if the quilt actually becomes a top in ‘24 🙄 Are you going to any retreats this yr ?
@@craftingkirsty So sorry I’m only seeing this now! I’m not going on any retreats except the Stacy Nash one at Cowlslip studios in Launceston Cornwall 5-6 May - I just happened to see Stacy’s post on FB that day and got a place 😊 can’t wait to meet her! Otherwise I will wait to rebook TGBSW or even The Attic again if you fancy!! Love your regular FTs 🌷please let me know if you have retreats planned - I would love to meet up again!
Enjoyed this very much - you sampler selection is outstanding - I can't seem to narrow down a really large one to settle on. I too like to do the perimeter first. The completed red, fab! Love the quilt too, I step back into that once in a while so loved seeing it.
Thanks for watching 😊 the only thing I seem to be able to narrow down on is big samplers ! Quilting was my first love but it seems to be taking a back seat at the moment, basically there are parts of quilting I don’t enjoy so put them down at that point 🙄
Hi Kirsty! Congrats on your gorgeous red sampler finish!! I’m looking forward to watching your progress on all the rest this year. Happy new year and happy stitching!
I enjoyed that little game of “spot the square motif” 😊. Also unfortunately I’m going to have to give you a fail on the ugly blanket as I don’t think it’s ugly at all! So far the colours really look cool together. See you on Sat!
Thanks for watching 😊 in the screen it really did look like an empty space! I am determined to make the blanket ugly.. I will keep trying 😂 I hope you enjoyed Saturday at the ENR, sorry I didn’t get much chance to chat, the day just flies by. Are you going in March?
