I was so disappointed when Stitcher’s World stopped publishing. 😢 It’s my favorite. I have a few years of the magazine and I love pulling them out and drooling over all the gorgeous patterns

What a great update today! My eyes were in love with your finishes and all the progress you have made. I LOVED the hummingbird piece (who doesn't?) - I agree that there is nothing like lacing to get rid of those tough fold lines. And lacing is not that difficult (for some things). The Dragon piece is really coming to life and I enjoyed learning about your perspective on the upcoming backstitching of it - when you do get there. Not to be unacknowledged, your monthly cat pieces - seeing it all finished in a frame....Beautiful. Your turtles are really coming to life on the seablue fabric. To me they began to look like they were swimming! Enjoy and have a great week.

I loved the progress on your cross stitch. The hummingbird was so beautiful, and what a lovely gift! I enjoy seeing the monthly cats. So lovely. The grapes are my favorite, for you to work on. It is just enjoyable to look at, as you keep working on it. I've got to look and see if I have the dragon ride pattern. I love it too. Have a great week.

Hi Sarah! I have a question about kitting up full coverage patterns. I have pattern keeper and am wondering how you calculate how many skeins of floss you will need per color. I just looked around a bit, and I don't find it any more. I think Teresa Wentzler used to have her own website/blog, and it was on there, but I can't find that site anymore. You can find her available patterns for purchase on Patterns Online, but I didn't see any freebies on there: www.patternsonline.com/Default.aspx

Hi. I’m stitching the Nora Corbett letter a for my grand daughter. There r squares near the back stitching where the symbols r really light and not as bold as the regular symbols. Could u tell me what they stand for or why they r there. Love ur flosstube and hopefully u can answer my question. Thank u

I don't have the letter A fairy so I can't know for sure, but typically Nora likes to put in some fractional stitches along the edges of the skin inside the backstitching, which will help make the edge smoother. These are quarter or three-quarter stitches that can help fill out the inside of the backstitch line without sticking outside of it, like a full cross would do. Here are some helpful tutorials about quarter stitches and three quarter stitches, if you have never done them before: www.better-cross-stitch-patterns.com/quarter-stitch.html www.better-cross-stitch-patterns.com/three-quarter-stitch.html If there is a fractional symbol on either side of a diagonal line of backstitching, I will often just to a quarter stitch on each side, because the backstitching will fill in the center between the quarter stitches. I hope that helped!
