Both are delicious on the coals but I love pipis and cockles in an italian pasta with heaps of garlic, spring onion, shallots, butter, oil, s&p, tomatoes, chilli, parsley, oregano, basil, thyme with white wine and a bit of chicken or fish stock etc

Pipi's for me at our batch we had loads of cockles but only one bed of pipi's ,about an 1\2 hour's walk away. The yellow eye mullet liked the pipi's as well and on a big tide we got scollops if we crossed the cannel in the dingy in about a foot of water at dead low.
