I know that around this point in the journey it can get more challenging to keep up the great work and to show up to the mat with enthusiasm and rigor. But listen - you got this far - and guess what? To day for the first time after years of yoga I was able to step straight to a lunge from down dog in one rather than the two step process I normally do 😊. That is a goal I've reached and I'm proud of . So greatful to be in this loving community reading people's comments warms my soul ❤❤

I struggled today, needing multiple breaks because I’m sick, and completely failing with balancing. The important thing is, we all showed up. No matter how it went, that’s an achievement ☺️

I got a really bad cut on my thumb yesterday evening, and had to go to the ER to get 4 stitches. I was very frustrated that I wouldn’t be able to complete this yoga series, but then I received Adriane’s email, reminding me to come as I am. I am very proud to say that I have done this session, with a lot of modifications to not use my right hand, but I did it. I couldn’t be happier 🌷 Kuddos to everyone doing this, powering through obstacles and meeting themselves where they’re at ❤

I'm so sorry! The same thing happened to me a couple years ago during the 30 day journey. I did dolphins instead of downward dog I remember. I had really strong shoulders by the end lol! I hope you're able to find the modifications you need and that you heal quickly and well!

@rosaliejohnson6491 Aw, maybe it's because he wants to play! One of my cats does that, and at some point, I realized they wanted to play and were using those tactics to get my attention/help me understand. So sweet, even if it hurts 😂🥰

It’s been easier to show up every morning this go-round and I think part of that is that the flows are all less than 30 minutes so it’s been easier to incorporate into my routine. Grateful for YWA. 🙏

I felt really unmotivated this morning and convinced myself to show up by telling myself I could stop at any point. Ended up really enjoying this practice and being in a much better mood afterwards! The hardest part truly is showing up, so congrats to us that we keep showing up!😊

This is the first day that I consciously noticed how much stronger I've gotten since Day 1! Reaching out with opposite hand and leg was much more stable today than it has been throughout this journey, and boat at the end has never felt so easy! Whether you notice it or not, you are getting stronger!!

This is one of those practices that really demonstrates the benefits of yoga both on and off the mat. As I flow and celebrate one cycle of breath between poses, I feel myself move through my day. Breathe in, walk into a potentially stressful situation; breathe out, let it go and stay embodied. Breathe in, look both ways and cross the street; breathe out, turn the corner. Breathe in, start a new project; breathe out, remember I am capable. Thank you Adriene + Benji for teaching us how to remember our beautiful humanity. We are human BEINGS (not doings). ♥

Today I noticed I wasn’t as tired after doing the housework. I attribute it to being consistent with this months live videos and not wanting to miss a day. I colour in each session on my habit tracker and I don’t want to see any blanks. Working so far 😊🙏🏼💪🇦🇺

Third day of January my husband had a stroke and was suddenly committed to the hospital. Second day of January, as many other people, I had done the first day of Flow. I had decided to commit to it. Throughout what has turned out to be the most difficult January of my life, you can not imagine the strength, warmth and much needed routine and rooting this daily yoga practice has brought me - a place to come back to myself. I have cried and laughed, tears of fear and relief. My husband is back home and recovering from a surgery, he is getting stronger every day - and so I am, as I continue to master my downward dogs with a little bit stronger arms and legs every day.

Thank you for this reminder to push through the journey. My rabbit passed away and I've been shocked how deeply his death has grieved me. Today the mat reminded me of him. And you remind me to love this yoga fully! Sending strength and love to your husband's recovery!

Posting this because i took a long break between last class and this class and I am so glad to be back on this journey. I have never completed a fitness challenge like this before and this is the first year ive stopped being my own enemy when I make mistakes/miss classes. Hoping to complete this challenge by the end of the year and even just doing that would make me happy

Day 19. Today was one of the days when I struggle to even get out of the bed. It took me whole morning to drag myself to the mat and even then I started the practice in my hoodie, ready to make it easier for myself and skip the difficult poses. But my body was rested after yesterday's meditation and so I was actually able to follow through the whole practice. I feel better now. Still not good, but better. I'm grateful for this opportunity to be led through a part of my day, the opportunity to move and do something for myself. Something that my future self will always thank me for. Thank you, Adriene, Benji, everyone. Have a nice day. 💛

This is the perfect practice to save to your favourite playlist as it gets the blood pumping and recaps a lot of poses, that once you can master, make you feel like a professional yogi. If you can complete this practice, it shows how far you’ve come with stamina and movement, I think. Well done everyone 😊 Day 19 ✔

Picking this 30-day journey back up after having to take breaks during Jan. due to getting the flu and pulling my neck. So far I realize that the yoga I've been doing regularly is most often in my comfort zone, and this 30-day journey continues to challenge and expand my practice. Onwards!

The intention I chose at the beginning of the practice is to be kind to myself. I realise more and more that that is exactly what this journey is about for me; learning more about what being kind to myself entails, as well as learning to be more kind to myself. I have a hard time being consistent, and I've learnt that it's about chosing to do what I know is good for me everyday more than it is about forcing myself into routine. It is kind to myself to do yoga every day even if I am not particularly excited about it that day, and it is also kind to myself to not beat myself up when I don't do it. I'm used to trying to force myself into routine, and then giving up and feeling like I failed when I inevitably skip a day (or a few). This time around I really try to give myself grace; I already was a few days behind and yesterday I didn't practice again. I notice wanting to do an extra session some days so I can catch up, or skipping some videos to catch up, but I am practicing being okay with 'being behind'. It is easier for me to push myself forward or give up than it is to allow myself to be imperfect, so I'm sitting with that uncomfortable feeling as I do each practice when I get to it. This is what feels good to my body, this is what will make me proud at the end (even if a few days later than the rest), completing this 30 day journey on my own terms instead of morphing it to what I think is expected.

This was so nice to read you can tell how much you’ve grown from reading this well done ❤ that is so so true when you say that it’s about being kind to yourself and continuing to show up whenever you can regardless of the days you’ve missed because it’s about the fact that this channel is here for life and that’s the beauty of it that we can do these practices and feel the benefits ❤

I have been practicing Yoga with Adriene for about three years now. Before then I would practice on and off. I always liked yoga. I am stronger and healthier now. YWA is also therapeutic for me. If I miss a day I feel off. I feel fortunate to share space on earth with you Adriene, all the followers of YWA, and everyone else too.

FLOW 🌊 | Day 19 | Ride | January 20, 2024 | Thank you for taking us along on this beautiful ride Adriene - this particular one, and the bigger one. There's something so soothing about lining up the rhythm of breath and movement. I love the dancer, and the work we did before it in this warming flow set me up for stability and perfect balance. 🙏

Each day's title really matches whatever is happening in my day! It's crazy! I do have a big ride today with work. Yesterday, I really needed to just meditate. Tomorrow, I'm taking a break, so yes, turning inward is what I need. The same happened for all the days before that!

I was so excited to see that today's practice was focused on gratitude! I was reading a book about an hour ago and the chapter I was up to talks about gratitude! After reading it, I had decided that I want to focus on being grateful to God for where I am now in life, even though it is challenging. I know there is a purpose for the struggle and I will come out stronger because of it. I then open up your beautiful email that comes everyday and I see the word gratitude! An affirmation that this is an area I need to focus on. Thank You God for letting me see and understand your messages! I really enjoyed the fast paced practice and riding the waves with my breath. I don't know how you talk and breath and focus and move all at the same time! You're an amazing teacher, Adriene. Thank you so much! I feel my physical body getting so much stronger!

Every day is wonderful. I get out of bed in the morning, get my mat and meet Adriene and Benji. Then I am ready for my day. I can see a difference in my flexibility already! So glad to be back on the mat with you all!

I am struggling today with depression/unmotivation. With being cooped up inside for over a week because of this cold weather and snow in the USA, today was the first really hard day that I was struggling with mental health. I allowed myself to be in my baggy PJs for this session and just told myself to "hit start, you don't even have to finish if it's too much" breathing deeply with movements made me realize just how poorly I've been breathing because of my posture today and it helped me so much over these 20min to make me feel a little bit more "alive" again.

Todays flow really helped me to delve into my presence and ride the waves from moment to moment as I grounded in gratitude for my current, cosmically-supported state. I couldn’t keep the smile from tugging at the corners of my lips throughout todays practice as I realised how much I have to be grateful for, something I’m grateful for in itself. My amazing body that allows me to do these poses with ease, my incredible support system of family and friends around me that I don’t know what I would do without, these bright, sunny clear days, the nourishing food I have at my fingertips: the list goes on! I can’t believe how far we’ve all come as well. Proud to be a part of this amazing community❤️. Namaste all🙏. See you tomorrow! Xx

Day 19 was wonderful! I am approaching my 5-year anniversary of the yoga class that inspired me to make yoga a part of my life. My milestone is finding balance on one leg. How gratifying to feel strong! I am so grateful. Thank you, Adriene!

Yesterday I was so grateful for a rest day because my back seemed tweaked. But something magical happened. I focused on my core and posture all day...trying to move with ease and grace. I came home from work and had a hot Epsom salt bath and practiced self care and rest. Today I was nervous for this practice... but my back feels so much better! Movement IS medicine. Pay attention to your body and honor it! I love that Adriene focuses on "find what feels good" rather than "push through the pain" ... that's why I keep coming back day after day, year after year... Adriene is the best instructor and I couldn't be more grateful to practice with her and everyone here! Namaste!

20 days in and I'm still at it! This Flow challenge has been so helpful in keeping me praciticing yoga consistently during this month, with darker, gloomier and colder days. Taking 20 minutes everyday for my body and mind is valuable and I'm really thankful for these practices!

I finally caught up and am participating live again. I’m glad I didn’t give up! Today felt like a very smooth and active vinyasa flow that opened up parts of my heart and lungs and nose more than I could the past week. I feel more fluid and alive! My core is so much stronger and now I’m understanding that holding my belly button into my spine and really squeezing this core is the *core* (no pun intended) to my practice. I can hold the plank better than a year ago and can draw my arms into a crunch with so much more control. I even feel like I have more potential to reaching my leg into a lung from down dog without having to take steps in my future. Most of all I’m thankful that my breathe and body movements are more synchronized and I feel a relaxation in my body and mind and soul that I rarely connect to. In these moments I realize how beautiful and special a daily yoga practice is and I thank all of you and Adrienne for inspiring me to come to the mat every year. What a beautiful tradition 😌

I’m a few days behind, but some how this practice felt perfect for me today. This day. It’s been one of my favorites so far of this 30 day journey. I woke up feeling a little grumpy. But this practice quickly helped me push those negative feelings away and ride the waves of my breath. ❤

While doing the sun salutation, full flow, my arms reaching up high, I smiled so fully. I hadn’t decided on my word of the year yet and usually have by now. It came to me. BEING. Active presence. I've finally caught up with the practices! I started this year's 30 days a couple of days late because I was away over new years. I've been doing Adriene's 30 days challenges for a few years now, and usually find myself in the opposite position, missing a couple of days and finishing the whole thing a bit late, so I'm really proud of myself. I didn't't find today particularly easy, I was a bit sore and tired, but I did it! Yay :) thank you Adriene x
