Can someone explain please ..... if my boiler flow temp is set for 75 degrees, it will take less time to reach the temp I set on my room thermostat? If I reduce the flow tem to say 65, it will take longer to reach the temp I set on my room thermostat and therefor more gas is being used? Surely one needs high boiler flow temp and just reduce the radiator thermostats ??
Hi, it’s more like a car journey. If you travel at 65 instead of 75, your journey will take longer but your fuel usage will be lower due to boiler efficiency. The lower the flow temperature, especially below 55, the boiler benefits from condensing savings. myboiler.com/money-and-energy-saving/?src=ytc (see section 2). JK♨️
