I followed all the steps in this video and I got the result when the inlet velocity is at 0.1 m/s. However, When I changes the inlet velocity from 0.1 m/s to 40 m/s, there was no rotational velocity developed. What is the reason? is there any relation between inlet velocity and velocity at the wall?
I think the velocity is high enough for the small geometry, which might be suppressing the effect of rotation. Which caused it hard to observe the rotation simulation.
@@AnsysTutor Thank you for your reply. However, I have an experimental setup for the same model and I am getting the effect of rotational speed in my experiment regardless of inlet speed. In my experimental setup, my inlet velocity is always higher than the rotational one. But in modelling, it is only showing the effect of rotational speed for a small range of inlet speeds. Can you kindly comment your views on this?
Double precision results provide more accurate results than single precision. Contours are the graphical representation of the parameter that varies in the domain.
How do we simulate the similar flow applies to annular flow in both rotating inner and outer cylinder? Or can u make a video on that? Thank you and appreciated it
How could you simulate a fluid that reverses its direction regularly. I am currently trying to learn how to simulate an oscillating water column, in which the airflow direction reverses as a water level oscillates up and down, however there is very little information about this online.
that is the fluid domain. The pipe solid body has not been created. Its the only outer surface of the solid cylinder which denotes the pipe inner wall.
It's the analysis of flow behaviour. We can also create the pipe body similar to the real life object, but for simplicity and to reduce the computation time, we only focus on the flow domain.
U r doing this set up and operation without giving any reason why u r choosing this kind of options and putting the value in set up ..how a learner could understand if u not mentioning reasons behind the choosing of different options in set up
We have explained some options in some of our old videos, so for sake of simplicity we just skip some of the explanation. If you have any doubt you can comment. We will try to answer if its as per our knowledge.
