I just bought a hive too! Can’t wait to get the bees in the spring. Healthy local honey and beeswax are going to be so nice to have on tap. Are you all thinking of making candles? Maybe they could have dried herbs or flowers in the wax? I’m excited to see what colors of honey you get! Most of the spring honey is a yellow/gold and the fall honey is dark bronze; but I have a feeling the type of flower can have an effect as well. Wishing you all the best and praying for a fruitful harvest in the spring!

I think you need a huge flower embroidered on the front chest area of that like Superman to stand out from the crowd. LOL Thats awesome guys. It is actually something we've been talking about doing for a long time. Cheryl actually did a course on it and then for some reason we just didn't do anything with it. Blessings!

This is awesome for you. I know there are groups that offer classes in my state for bee keepers. My local honey farm offers internships for ag college students. I love going to their farm open house each year and my monthly honey run. The best part is getting raw honey less than 10 miles from my home.

Congrats on the bees!! Loving all your content. Just moved from NJ to VA and will be starting my homestead. Just purchased my first pigs and have chickens and ducks coming in April. Farm name is Mossy Bee Farm. Will start my flower beds and the landscaping of the yard when it warms up. I am very shy for the camera and always opt out of vlogging. Watching your videos and how you have mastered it has given me inspiration. Thank you and Keep up the great work.

You will love bee keeping! There are so man6 beneficial things you can do with the homey to make money as well as being beneficial for your family. Don’t worry about the suit, we bought two, one for my husband and one for me. He only uses a jacket and veil, sometimes just the veil and s9me times if the bees are nice, nothing. It will come 8n time. We planning to incorporate bee keeping in our channel next year once we get it up and going. We are currently working on some starter videos. Hugs and love from Texas!

Bees aren't really your friend as a flower farmer. Once a flower is pollinated, it's job is done and it begins to die. Unpollinated flowers have a longer vase life. So not the end of the world, but try to pick whatever you can before they produce pollen.
