My dad has record collections that he still pulls out and plays, so this musical tribute was SO sweet to me. Dad has 78's and even older original pressed records on sawdust. I have three homes and an original family homeplace dating back to a land grant for service during the American Revolutionary War, and I don't know how I'll begin to go through all of the memories....but your care and concern with the items you find, and with your beautiful family, are truly inspirational. I was 4 years old the first time I sang on stage with my Dad and his Band. Both my parents died in a car crash together just before I turned 8. 63 years later and I am feeling the loss again as I hear your father's song and see this beautiful memorial and honorarium to your parents. Your mom is beautiful, she shines from within. God bless all of you and give healing for your loss.

I'm so happy to see you & you're mom spend time together. Your mom has a sadness to her that I recognize very well. It's the same look I had after I lost my husband of 33 yrs just 10 years ago. My kids took me to Morro Bay a couple weeks after he passed away. I enjoyed it very much but I couldn't shake the sadness. I also see it in your face, my kids had it in their faces as well. It get easier for you as time goes by, at least the shock wears off. The sadness never goes away, but the hope of knowing you will see your loved ones again keeps you going. If I didn't know that I don't think I would ever get over it. Thank God for giving me that to look forward to, as well as seeing Him. May God watch over you & your family & give you peace in your hearts.

My husband and I just recently watched this and it definitely made me cry; I lost my dad on December 2, 2018 so it is still pretty raw for me :-( your time spent with your mom after the loss of your dad was so precious and the love shows. The remembering of your dad was so sweet and touching and I am so glad you have so many memories to look back on. My dad and I had no relationship for several years but we reconnected in 2011, I was able to go out to Vegas in 2012 and 2013 to spend time with him and they are times I will hold on to and treasure. We talked on the phone every week or two (I live in Michigan and he lived in Vegas) but he will be forever missed. My husband and I love what you are doing with the Potter house and are enjoying watching you and your family :-) Keep up the Good Work!!

A very warm tribute. Brought back memories for me too. Travelled to Canada with my late Mum and Dad in 1997, we visited Butchart Gardens, my Dad was a Horticulturist, he so loved the visit, and for years after we ordered seeds on line from there having them sent here to the UK

Good Luck with your Grief. I lost my Dad at 27 and I am now 57. I miss him every day and it never goes away. Then mom Dies and it never gets better. But life goes on and you deal with it. Grandkids should keep Grandma busy. But Mom sure is a Pretty Woman.

I've just discovered your channel and have been watching you on my TV, so it chooses the next video to play and plays it, I'd watched a good few videos with your dad in before this one came up and it was such a shock. I'm so so sorry for your loss. I can see where your kindness and your big heart comes from and I'm sure both your mum and dad are so proud of the man, the husband and father you are. Being in the States the only glimpse I have had of these beautiful Gardens is on my visits to the Canadian Pavilion at Epcot in Florida. My father-in-law, Don, recently passed away. He was an antique collector and avid car guy. He had 4 daughters, so his sons came through marriage. He treated me like his actual son. ❤️ Our annual tradition was to go to the Back to the 50’s Car Show in St. Paul, MN. Over 10,000 antique cars and one venue! He could talk about all of them. His toy collection included horse drawn cast-iron fire wagons, Buddy-L trucks, cast iron and pressed metal trains, coins, his model-t, and 1934 Ford Coupe. We miss him a lot and the ending of your video was touching. God Bless your family. 😀
