Really man I can’t believe that there are people out there that hate him so much to the point where they just straight up ignore his skills and record. Personally I am not a fan of Floyd but his skills are one of a kind.
To be honest, to me Floyd Mayweather is an obnoxious ass hole, and I really don't like the guy, but there is no denying that he dominated the boxing world, and that he is without a doubt the greatest defensive boxer in history.
So fucking insane how people don’t give him enough defensive credibility. He was an action fighter during his younger years and then he just became one of the greatest ring generals the sport has ever seen.

Exactly what I was thinking, and I'm a casual boxing fan! He actually stands in front of his opponent with his guard down a lot but he can just roll that shoulder and dodge the punches then counter. Look what he did to Canelo there, the mans a genius.

@@victorn1844 He meant that Floyd doesn't have any marks on his face after a career of 50 fights. Most boxers when they retire, they retire with messed up faces and even minor or serious brain injuries. Floyd still looks fresh.

I'm planning to do some amateur boxing training in the near future. Floyd's defense is gonna be one of the things I'm gonna gravitate to when we do sparring..
You know what he does? He is a master on avoiding punches! This makes the opponent mad then they hit and they get tired. He is like the spammers in games where they wait and they hit at the right time, the same drill every time, it works so good for him!
Floyd is really really skilled, but in my opinion, Rigondeaux is even more skilled than him. Rigo is just on another level; the most pure boxing SCIENTIST the sport has ever seen
Clark Gil in his weight class he is . You can’t compare floyd with Tyson for example different weight class and we can’t know if they both would do well in each other’s weight class
When i watched Floyd I didn’t look at the punches landed from his side, I watched the punches deflected, avoided. The counter punches was always there but the mastery of ”hit and not get hit” is what makes him the best boxer of all time. Pure technical genius.
You know why people don't respect Floyd? Because he may be an undefeated boxer ...but he never had a fight in his life. People respect fighters ..and most boxers are. But not Floyd. You can deny it all you want ...but you can just feel what the boxing world thinks of Floyd. They can't change the subject fast enough. He used is speed for his punch & run style to insure he would get the W and protect is perfect record ...but lost the respect of the boxing world in the process.
