People don’t understand that Floyd showed this level of brilliance after Roy had been put to sleep. The fan expectations for the new P4P king to replace Roy and do what he did here is incredible
@@jonathancannonwright5545 yeah he did cheat, but still doesn’t change the fact Haney got rocked. Let’s be real fighters like Davis Lopez could drop him
This was not olny Floyd's greatest Fight....It was probably one of the Greatest fights any fighter has ever had in the History of Boxing! A technical Masterpiece and absolutely dominated and abused Gotti from start until he quit the fight
This is one of the most brutal beatdowns I’ve ever seen in the history of professional boxing. To see how butt hurt the crowd was, at least the non-black members of the crowd, it’s kind of funny to watch. The brothas are like 😮 👊🏽 😃 The others are like 😡😑
You must haven't been watching boxing long. Yall go extra for nothing. Haney won the 12th round of the fight on all score cards. Clown shit. Without the knockdowns, Haney wins easily. I have seen 12 rounds to 0 before don't act like you haven't. Smh
@@detroitboxingtv9875 yeah but the Tommy Hearns thing was just a one punch decapitation lol. Tommy did that to a lot of fighters. Floyd here just absolutely made hamburger out of ArturoGatti‘s face for the entire fight.
@@chiarosuburekeni9325 I mean there was a prior beating for the few rounds it lasted. But yea this was a PEAK Floyd performance, maybe watched it 20 times 😭
Y'all ever noticed that Floyd will cruise in the first round then go hard in the second round and then cruise in the third round and go hard in a fourth round and so on and so forth. And this is not the first fight I've noticed it in. He did the same thing to Ricky hatton and Jesus Chavez . I'm not sure of his by design or it just happened to play out that way. But he seemed to do his best work in the number rounds. Just something I noticed. He paces himself perfectly that way. Even if you have someone hurt he don't Go crazy wasting punches.
WHEN WE SPEAK OF THIS VERSION OF FLOYD MAYWEATHER AKA PRETTY BOY FLOYD, HE WAS A MENACE WHO WOULD USE HIS SPEED AND ACCURACY TO LAND KNOCKOUT PUNCHES. HIS HANDS WERE THE PROBLEM, LITERALLY AND FIGURATIVELY 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
4:35 commentators were obviously Gatti fans. This dude is ducking extremely low but assume its only Floyd is holding him "down low". Yeah Floyd definitely leaned on him a bit but Gatti takes some blame from always ducking so low.
Yo this ref sucked! Try’s to break them at 2:19 but they weren’t even holding. Tells them stop punching, Mayweather keeps punching…Gotti protests and gets knocked down. Mayweather would have won any way because he’s a better boxer but the ref needed to do his job.
It wouldn't have mattered one bit, and you know it. Floyd would have taken out both Gatti and Ward on the same night without breaking a sweat. Floyd is just so much faster and skilled than both Ward and Gatti, they wouldn't be able to lay a single punch on him.
@@bsmi1361well floyd had fights that coulda went either way bud didn’t and always found a way, plus buds jab is 74 vs Floyd’s 72 so Floyd ain’t Gonna have it easy, same reason floyd ducked his mandatory in lara ..night mare style with a long good jab
@@bugsta2012They said the same crap when he faced Diaogo Corrales about power, reach and size.. Floyd dropped him 5 times and destroyed him easily. Floyd in his prime is unbeatable. He'd find a way to win, weather that's moving and boxing in a "boring" fight, or going toe to toe. Prime floyd out boxes Crawford
that's a hard fight for Floyd. Not that he couldn't win in fact he'd probably have been the betting favorite but I think that fight would play out somewhere between him vs Pacman and him vs Oscar only Crawford wouldn't abandon the jab if it was working and he's not as predictable as manny. Not to mention the reach, boxing skills, and stance switching. It would probably be a fight that only the best version of Floyd could win tbh. Anything less and I'd pick Crawford tbh.
Tell me you don't know shit about boxing without telling me you don't know shit about boxing. 😂😂😂. You people are obviously hating and just riding on the hate bandwagon. Coming into this fight, Gatti, at worst, is a The Ring Top 3 Light Welterweight, and has just beaten Micky Ward twice, Leonard Dorin, Gianluca Bronco and Jesse James Leija. Gatti may not be in the top prime anymore but he was not certainly washed up like you people wanted to portray.
Gotti was a warrior and glorious club fighter. Nothing more than a rock um sockem fighter fans loved. Little skill just guts. The fights with Ward were just bloodbaths that appealed to the low life’s of boxing. Ward was a great body puncher. When boxing was an important sport neither Ward nor Gotti would have been champions but fan favorites. Floyd does not rate in any all time list least of all his self proclaimed GOAT. Robinson Gavilan Basilio Billy Graham Charley Burley Armstrong Mickey Walker Emile Griffith Luis Rodriquez Johnny Bratton Fritzi Zivic The era of 6oz gloves Day of the fight weigh in 15 round title fights. Much much tougher era than Floyd. Castillo beat him up but lost the decision. The powers that be in boxing loved Floyd.
@@Thelategreatjohnnybratton They never loved Floyd, he was the most hated man in boxing Larry Merchant always wanted Floyd to lose and all the fans booed him every time he fought in a city that he lived in
@@bountifulabundance Envy is a terrible thing. Merchant used to bow and scrape to Mike Tyson in sickening fashion, I always felt he was trying to cultivate a relationship similar to Cosell and Ali.
